Haypros beaten Nestea and taken a game off MVP, Idras lost macro games to cruncher and desrow...shit happens and its sc2....good players can lose to bad players all the time, especially when you successfully hide cannons at a zergs 3rd. gratz to incontrol but the fact that winning 2 games is such a huge deal to this fanclub reflects on how awful his results have been recently and how low standards have gotten. this is the same guy thats playing been playing 8hours a day in a dedicated team house for months, and was talking about winning major tourneys this time last year. getting wrecked in tourneys, losing showmatches to cytoplasm and destiny who was playing more LoL than sc2 at the time and then getting one 2-0 shouldnt be met with this much fanfare. its kinda sad seeing how low his fans standards have gotten. Have you ever taken 3 seconds to think before you post? He is the face of EG. He casts, he is on 2 podcasts, and is one of the major faces in the Starcraft community. He has said that his results are poor and that he needs to pick it up, and he has been improving, while I don't see him doing amazingly well, he does loads for his team, he has helped IdrA and DeMuslim get out of that rage losing and quitting mentality. It's kind of sad to see some kid who is probably in gold, insulting an established pro player.

He`s a great team captain / community figure / personality, but he isnt cutting it as a player. also im in master league tyvm

His other results don't matter when you look at the question of "Can his fans celebrate him beating Sleep?" Yes. We're fans. That's what we do. Of course you can take into account the context of past results when gauging excitement and expectations, but when you're a fan of a team or player, that means you probably fucking enjoy it when they do well. We don't have low standards of him. I expect him to dominate and win an MLG this year. We simply don't wait for those expectations to be met to enjoy the quality entertainment he gives us. Like you'd expect, we're bummed when he loses. Like you'd expect, we're bummed if such a trend continues. However, the idea of simply supporting someone and celebrating whatever they achieve seems to pass you by. Lighten up, honey. On second thought, why should I have to explain this in a fanclub?

QFT I think Incontrol is probably the coolest person ever and I look up to him as a person often. If he wins we are fans we do what fans do cheer our asses off. if he loses we do what fans do hide our heads and know that one day our team or player will have his day.

♥ ya iNcontroL. Being entertained by you (casts, sotg, itg, and cheeringfor you) is a significant part of what kept me attached to SC2 especially when I was getting bored of SC2 itself. Many early versions of my Breadth of Gameplay article had a section that quoted you; I only took it out because I didn't want to put too much emphasis on the SC2 vs. BW thing. It went as follows in spoiler: + Show Spoiler + To be clear, neither BW nor SC2 is directly better than the other, like the difference between apples and oranges. BW is better and some ways, SC2 is better in some ways. I personally want a certain mix of both (in SC2). Quote from iNcontroL on SotG 60 @ 2:59:50 - 3:10:10 Imagine you're sitting [at a] restaurant. ... You've got two girls walking at you: (1) Stunningly gorgeous, there's a lot about her, she's very intelligent, she's funny, she's not quite as funny or smart as the person next to her, she's just gorgeous, brilliant, wonderful looking girl, and she's wearing just the right clothes, (2) Next to her is a frumpy, older, lumpy girl, she's seen better days, in fact she had better days, got self-conscious and started eating her emotions, she's very smart, she's extremely witty, and she's very funny. These two girls are walking at you. You are more inclined on average to watch the girl who is more attractive. As you've guessed, SC2 is the more attractive girl and the other girl is BW. Sure she's smarter and she's funnier, but, well, you know the rest of the story. Now don't get me wrong, I'd [date] the hot one any day. [pg version lulul] But I'm not looking for a one-night-stand. I'm looking for a girl (game) that I can have a lasting, meaningful relationship with. I want to be intellectually stimulated on deep levels. The superficial facade of SC2 has worn away for me. I see past the makeup and through the skin, and I'm not happy with what I see. <irrelevant line removed> But fear not! We can take the brilliance, wit, and humor of BW and teach it to the far more aesthetically pleasing SC2. We can have the best of both worlds. I guess I was mostly just trying to squeeze something that came from you to fit in there lool. ♥

It's a pretty fucking big win for ANY foreign protoss. Sorry for being ignorant but what has sleep accomplished to make himself a guy people can say "holy shit you beat him!". Has he ever even played a gsl / gstl game? Sure he beat polt in a zotac cup but in sc2 anything can happen and the last 2 games i watched between them, polt outclassed him thoroughly.

im not even an incontrol fan, but i like what he does for the community, and it's pretty sad to see people like Ryrmidon are posting negative things on his fanclub just because people are giving him congrats for a job well done vs sleep. i dont think ive seen anyone say incontrol totally outclassed sleep, or that hes top protoss now... just that he played well vs him and that gives his fans the right to celebrate the victory of one of their favorite players. beating sleep was a good stepping stone for him as he continues practicing and getting better, why bash on him for that?... this post really has nothing to do with how good sleep or incontrol is >.> just tired of seeing idiots post things trying to pick fights with incontrol and his fans. cmon guys...
