First female SC2 progamer in Korea to be recruited by a team! SlayerS_Jessica herself scouted Eve based on her skills and looks. First spotted @ GSTL Jupiter Group Week 4 on July 14th 2011. Played Brood War in elementary school where she also played Terran.
Name : Kim Shee-Yoon Race : Terran Team: SlayerS Age: 21 Known IDs: 슬레이어스이브 or 이쁘징 Rank on ladder: 7th in gold division (on Slayers Eve account) 72nd in Diamond on other account Remember Ladder is currently locked so I would highly doubt her rank to be this low

During 2011 GSTL Season 1 Jupiter league week 4 on the 14th, a beautiful girl was spotted in the waiting area. She is the first female SC2 progamer that SlayerS has recruited and trained.
Kim Shee-Yoon will turn 22 this year and uses the handle, Eve. She has won first place in an amateur tournament before but has no other experience with e-sports. SlayerS_Jessica herself scouted based on her skills and looks.
Joining the team in their game vs TSL in week 4 of 2011 GSTL Season 1 Jupiter league, she said, "I am very happy to join such a respected professional gaming team SlayerS." She also added that she played the original game in elementary school where she mained Terran, and her choice has subsequently remained the same.
She said she is a fan of MMA and looks forward to practice with her new teammates and become an integral part of the team.
You maybe be able to see her play in GSTL. SlayerS has expressed that they plan to field her this season.
Join the revolution of female gamers to come! Post here or PM me!
Yes this is also the fanclub that has an equal amount of haters T_T... If anyone else has information or has seen the stream where she apparently beat Cella please post it here or PM me ;D
I'm not trying to be mean, but I find it hard to believe that she'll be GSTL quality by the end of this season if she is in Gold.. Although I'm very interested to see how she develops.
It's very strange... None of us have ever seen her play, how can you be a fan of her already? Is this fanpage purely created because of ''SlayerS'' In her name? I don't really think she deserves a fanpage yet. It's an insult towards the players/people who actually do have accomplished something or did something for the community, she however has accomplished nothing so far, thus there is no way you could be a fan of her, the only way you could be a fan of her is because of her looks and gender, but then we might aswell make a fanpage for every female gamer.

True, this is ridiculus, just because she get "SlayerS" on her name t_t
A fanclub before achieving anything? Wow... The eligibility of fan clubs are so low today. How are you a fan of someone you haven't known or seen do anything until about a day ago?
I understand the Lindsey fanclub because we've seen her interviewing etc. but this should really get closed. We don't know a single thing about this person, other than her being a female and on the team Slayers.
If anyone is really asking this is more or less for fun... I don't see a reason why you have to crash the party... Maybe the fanclub needs some justification but let's wait it out and see what happens. I wasn't trying to be hasty here but if this thread is just going to warrant flaming on her/the fanclub then I'll ask a mod to close it.

SlayerS autovote? XD
I want to see some results first. Either that or Cella can let her play some games while he's streaming and we can see how good she is.
Wonder if she has a smurf account in Masters/GM. =/

So... If I made a fanclub about a person, for fun... It would be acceptable? We can just create fanclubs for fun? I don't hate her, I have no reason to, but I don't think she deserves a fanclub yet. Where are all the other ''unknown'' Slayers, oGs, MVP members? They don't have fanclubs, yet they have been around for longer.
You realise the word fan means 'fanatic' right? You're really fanatic about this young girl, knowing literally nothing about her other than her ID and what she looks like? Someone should probably alert the police
Already...? I don't want to sign up yet. She joined partly because of her looks, as stated by them... But she also may be good, but until I see that, I don't want to sign onboard yet..
I'm wondering, are those ladder ranks a representation of her actual level of play, or does she just not ladder/have different smurfs? If she really is gold level, I'm not so sure what to think (I trust SlayerSJessica's decision though) if she's really at a progamer level, then that's great.

I've been thinking: she has 33 wins on her Gold account and 68 wins on her Diamond account. Assuming a straight 50% win-rate, that means she's played around 200 1v1 games in this past season, give or take a few. I can't find a 1v1 record before this season, so ...
She has to have a smurf, right? Right? 200 games just seems a little low to me otherwise for a progamer.

In the official thread about her joining SlayerS people were saying it was a girls only tournament and it was mostly silver players that participated.
If she is only Diamond I find it highly unlikely SlayerS would ever send her out this season in GSTL being down 0-2 in the standings. She also isn't likely to qualify for GSL anytime soon. What exactly is there to add to her fanclub? Pictures? Updates on her ladder rank? I really don't feel this fanclub is necessary given so little information we have and will receive.
On July 15 2011 08:01 CatNzHat wrote: Will be interested to see how fast she improves in the slayers team house.
I'm pretty sure she isn't living in the Team house.. There are a lot of SlayerS players like Dragon who don't move in for a while.
there is a difference between team and clan, clan is a community part, which i assume players like dragon is in. Eve is obviously a member of the team as she was actually at gsl with the team today, although i dont know where she lives or if she even plays the game. They might just use her for marketing their team who knows. Also this fanclub is a bit premature imo, we dont know anything about her, we have never seen her play and probably wont for a while, is this fancluib for being a fan of her looks or what?
Wow, hasn't even played a match and already has fanboys. Congrats Eve! I like how the accomplishments don't even say what the tournament was that she won - it's just "amateur tournament". XD
Every time a girl shows up on the SC2 scene, no matter what her achievements or significance to the scene is, she gets a fan club. I do not see why this was made before she has even played a game, especially since she is apparently only diamond level at best..
This is ridiculous she hasn't even done anything yet I'm all for being a fan but you have to do something fan worthy first. (Being a girl and/or being on a progaming team alone are not nearly enough). The only accomplishment is first place in some amateur tournament? No male personality would gain a fanclub from that if you want more women in esports start treating them equally.

agree, the op is trying to be cool and obv needs attention in their life to make a fan club for someone(a female) that hasn't done anything at all
im glad you're fans of someone you know nothing about, except that they're diamond and like mma...
How about let's go make fanclubs for Jessica Alba and others too, because well - we never seen her play but she looks better than this? Until she has actually played something this is quite much a farce to me.
Edit:

Pretty much sums up my thoughts but more nicely put, I guess.
Yeah this is a joke, tbh. This doesn't help the stereotype that females aren't good at video games either, I mean she was recruited for her "looks"... are they trying to make ESPORTS a joke? I'm all for female pros, but at least have them be on the level to be considered a pro.Recruiting someone to gain popularity is just so fail...
im going to wait and see if she can actually play at a professional level (even if she loses if she convinces me that she can compete she will have a fan) however i question this and until i see a hint towards her skill whatever that may be or she actually plays a game i dont think this should have been made, but to each his own belief

Well she won first in an "Amateur Tournament" which is very ambiguous in itself but I'd imagine that she must be better than her rank suggests because the tournament was most likely male dominated as well
Sign me up for the fanclub! I'm eager to see how well she does in the future. Being under the SlayerS watch, I'm sure she has a lot of potential and will do really well.
This person has fans because she's the first female recruited to a sc2 pro gaming team.
How is that hard to understand? People aren't fans of her because of her play style or her skill, they're fans because she's the first female pro sc2 player
There are fanclubs for people who aren't even pro-gamers. Stop bitching about this one.
I'm not a "hater", but this has to be the most premature fan club in existence. How does someone deserve a fan club when they haven't done anything besides sit in a booth next to their team? I'd be happy to join as soon as I see some games from her or *anything* that would warrant her having a fan club.
On July 15 2011 10:34 modesttoss wrote: Us females are starting to show our worth in the Starcraft community. Sign me up! :D
I would much rather have the female gamers be known for their skills as a measure of worth rather than just being a cute girl to attract attention to whatever they are being exploited for.
I trust boxer as someone that can recognize talent when he see's it. He's been right more times then wrong when scouting talented players. For her to join the slayers team, he must have seen something in her skills to warrant his decision, so don't draw any conclusions before getting any details.
As for details.. isn't it jumping the gun a bit to have the fan club and fans before you even accomplish anything or get a reputation in the community? Its obvious what worth of hers the fans are praising her for atm... and honestly that's not what the community needs... there are other places to go for that kinda entertainment.
GL Eve and I hope you have a bright and successful SC2 career!
Sign me up (: I wish this girl good luck because I know it's not going to be easy with all the attention she is going to get.
And I guess to anyone who is questioning why anyone would join this fanclub without having seen her play... Why? Lol. Go care about something else that's more important. Lol
Wow isnt this a little too much too soon? i dont think we even know what race she plays, tho she's in Slayers so i'll assume Terran :p. I wish her nothing but success dont get me wrong guys, but shouldn't we wait until she at least plays in the GSTL? .
Is it because she's a girl? kind of makes me think that.
Eve fighting, but i still think u guys are getting way ahead of yourselves ^^.

Anyway, I agree with the consensus that this is way too early. Also, the interview isn't even true, there are plenty of female SC2 pros...
Anyway, I hope she does well, it'd be sweet to see some more top skill females, but until she actually shows some results I don't see why there's a fanclub for her.

She won't be playing for five weeks, I believe, until the roster changes. (Or so John claims.)
I heard a rumor that she beat Cella on his stream before, but I haven't been able to find any confirmation for this yet. =/
You guys are failing to see the point, yes SlayerS recruited her for what seems to be no particular reason, BUT thats not what this fanclub is about. The reason OP made this is BECAUSE she was recruited by them, making her the FIRST girl gamer on a major team.
It rather frustrates me when people can't figure things out on their own when its blatantly right in front of them

ANYWAY to be OT, sign me up :D
Generally members of the community get fanclubs for contributing various things to the community and gaining fans that way or players accomplish things or even play in a certain way and gain fans, what has she done? She joins a team in what I feel like is a stunt to gain attention in some weird fashion and has zero notable accomplishments. She isn't even on a playing level anywhere close to the real pros. Why don't we just spam fanclubs for any random person because they have a tag before their name?
i thought shed be atleast masters, but really recruiting a player with gold and diamond accounts seems like they just want a girl gamer for the hype but nothing else. prolly will only play her in team league when there up like 2-0 or 3-0 just to try to cheese her oppents
I think we should give Seltzerplease aka Rachel a fan club, if its just about being Girl in the community we should have done this a long time ago . And while she doesn't play, she does do a lot of cool stuff for the SC2 scene ^^.
I have no doubt Slayers recruited Eve based on her skills, i don't think it would be just a cheap PR stunt (if it is, then shame on Slayers) but i just want to wait to see her play before i become a fan, just like with any other player.
"SlayerS_Jessica herself scouted Eve based on her skills and looks"
..i can't really take this seriously. it has to be based purely on skills. tossgirl is a good player who just happens to be attractive.
hopefully she gets really good quickly as a result of being part of the team house so this isn't open to complete ridicule, otherwise it'll be just plain damaging.
Love all of SlayerS, here's hoping she isn't just 100% there for the looks and can actually play somewhat good... though since sexism is even more blatant in Korea/Asia than in the west I think nerves might be a major obstacle for her... still that is also a great reason of why I support her.
On July 15 2011 12:24 Moralez wrote: comon guys.. a fan club based on a interview? lol
She doesn't even have a real interview, most of what's said is from Slayers_Jessica with literally one line quoted from Eve... There is literally no content other than 4 pictures. I think we could pretty much start making fanclubs of random people with a handful of pictures at this point.
I think many of us love SlayerS, and i think we'd better not underestimate SlayerS_Jessica's poaching skills. There's a reason SlayerS_BoxeR agreed to her being on the team. He's made mistakes in the past with other races (read: legalmind) but his terran picks have never been wrong. MMA, Ryung and GanZi are all sick terrans. She happens to play terran. His Queen might have done the picking, but the Emperor himself agreed to this, guys.
The ladders are locked now, so watch her account in season 3.

I'm pretty sure slayers picked legal mind because he was code-A and they needed points for the team league, I don't think it was a mistake.
1st there is no fucking way she is gold , slayers_jessica ain't stupid , she won't taint the name of "Slayers" with some low level player , I will assume she is at least low Masters when she first joined.

The thing is, MMA, Ryung and GanZi all played in teams in BW and they may not have been the best players but they were still damn good at playing Starcraft. I don't really think BoxeR's scouting ability really count on these three. ^^
I highly doubt she would have been recruited if she didn't at least show potential. Looking forward to seeing another SlayerS terran. Lets see if she can become really talented at SC2 so we can see her more in the GSL/GSTL.
Also isn't it a bit much to start a fanclub for someone we've never even seen play a game? Just because she's attractive she gets all this attention? Forever Alone?
Lol. She hasn't played a single game yet? Epic bandwagon. This is as silly as the Kelly fan club. I mean, at least Kelly was a significant member of the community for a small period of time.
Wtf, she's not even in masters? high diamond for that matter.
Alright, she might be low rank on the ladder, but did that stop Thorzain from pwning everyone? No. He had barely even laddered at all. My guess is that she can actually play and does so very often in private matches against very good Korean players. Her league rank might not be a direct reflection of her actually skill level.
All of this is pretty hilarious. You guys are the funnys. I agree with dusty, give ME a fanclub while you guys are at it, kkthx. I'll somehow slip in "SlayerS" in front of my ign.

A random one-time NASL interviewer has a fan club these days, and a rather fast growing one at that. Kelly's fan club makes sense compared to some of the more recent ones.
To remember that fan club threads of people who really weren't considered high profile used to be closed not that long ago. I think even Destiny had a fan club thread closed for that reason as well. Now this whole forum section has become a joke really.
Oh and by the way, as I read this in quite a few posts - comparisons to Tossgirl are silly. Tossgirl actually trained hard for years, and while she wasn't an A team level player, she deserves huge respect for being an actual progamer, and is still the only female progamer in my eyes at least.

Took the words out of my mouth. A few months ago, I had lots of respect for the fan club section. Now, it is a complete joke. Someone needs to explain how the hell does Sporrer/Eve deserves a fan club. I think it was Chill who closed Destiny's fan club. The same happened after the bo3 or w/e it was between Deezer and CombatEX. Some kid made a fanclub for Deezer and shitload of kids signed up because they find Deezer's trolling and behavior hilarious (it's not) and Chill closed that one too.
Imo, fanclubs have gotten out of hand lately. I feel like fanclubs should be made for players who are good at the game and the fanclub is made because of the players skill, not just because you like him/her as a person or you find him/her funny/cute/hot/w.e and the person happens to play Starcraft on top of that.

Because destiny SHOULD have a fan club in the place that hosts fan clubs for lindsey sporrer, kellymilkies and this girl.
I find it odd that Lindsey Sporrer has a Fan club without barely a raised eyebrow, someone who didn't even know what Starcraft was until NASL, yet SlayerS recruits a girl (a historic first girl on a pro sc2 team) who plays Starcraft 2 at a supposedly high level and people are angry that she has a fan club?

LOL. Historical? Supposedly high level? Really? The girl that is "more importantly" than Nada in one of the Artosis videos is probably twice as good as Eve, who plays in gold league (if this account on sc2ranks isn't fake, of course), or "high diamond" according to another poster on the fanclub.
Come on guys this is a little ridiculous is this what fan clubs have gotten to? I'm all for supporting people and such, but lets wait a little bit till we actually have some content/SEE HER play its hard to be a fan of just this random person T T
With the amount of elite terrans in SlayerS, I have no doubt that she'll hit NA GM levels in no time. As long as Eve has the will to learn, in a month, she'd probably take out 99.9% of TL in a BO3 no problem.
Not gonna sign up for fan club just yet but I personally think she's cuter than tossgirl but not quite as hot.
Which begs the question, why are they suddenly taking on trainees? It's not like they're in a desperate need of talent and their team isn't exactly small >.>

I am sure they have been taking on trainees for a long time now (thus the clan in addition to the team), but it has never been publicized before. because they have taken on a female trainee, it has received a lot of attention. everytime a female becomes involved, people tend to go a little crazy. kellymilkies, that spore interviewer, now a slayers trainee. lot of frustrated kids out there.
Kellymilkies might deserve a fanclub, since she does do a number of SC2 related jobs including casting. Lindsay Sporrer just has one because her interview segments made the long breaks in NASL surprisingly entertaining, though for the wrong reasons. Eve, however, is significant in that she's the first female gamer to actually have an active playing role in any SC2 professional team, despite only being a trainee. This might be the first time this much attention for a female figure in the SC2 community is actually warranted, especially if we soon find her to be a decent player by pro standards.

Why isn't everyone thats posting in a negative comment in someone's FANCLUB thread being banned? If this was Idra's fanclub thread, they would've been put on permanent leave ALONG time ago.

because this fan club is . . . no man's land. lol + Show Spoiler +
Come on guys, can;t you see what slayers are trying to do? It's not really publicity, more of a way of showing girl gamers that theres a way into an SC2 pro team where they can win money. They probably picked her because she's not great, but probably willing to learn a lot and has a great deal of free time. They will be training her and we all start off chobo at some point, and bringing in a chobo to a pro tournament is giving her experience JUST BEING THERE. If they rush her through and shes not good enough so what...many progamers have faded into the background and she'd just be one of them.
I'm all for her appointment as a message to female gamers that SC2 is NOT just for guys, and that the pro scene, where money is to be made, is NOT just for guys. Great thinking on the part of ESPORTS if I'm honest. She mite suck show girls in bad light whatever, but showing the doors are open is a greater thing to accomplish at this state in time.
Soccer was 'only' for men when it first started, and now female soccer players are discouraged from playing because the money sucks. Starting women early gives precedent for other teams to pick up the Pikachu's in the world, not just the latest fad guy.

True, this is ridiculus, just because she get "SlayerS" on her name t_t

this is not true. she isnt part of the team per slayers~jessica; she is just a trainee. also, pikachu was recruited for the razer "team" back in february 2011.

Gold and Diamond?! WTF! Regardless of whether the leagues are locked or not, she CAN'T be so low in her placement and yet join a professional team. Even Masters would be too low. I will watch after her matches carefully and see how she does.
Also, creating a fan club these days is way too easy.
I have no problem with SlayerS pulling in some random scrub as a "trainee", just because she's female and attractive, to promote an image and try to pull more women into Starcraft. PR is good for the scene, as is attracting a new demographic, right?
This thread/fan club, however, is absurd. Put it back in your pants, people.
In regards to the Sporrer comparison, I think the striking difference is that I think the people who object to this fan club look at the Sporrer thing and just roll their eyes, expecting the absurdity to be clearly visible to everyone. This, on the other hand, has the thinnest veneer of credibility, based on the claims (repeated many times already) of, "BUT IT'S SLAYERS AND I SUPPORT SLAYERS AN STUFF LOL". That claim is obviously ridiculously, but, for me, at least, it's the attempt to mask that it's purely based on her sex that bothers me.

It's not just for guys - but it is just for people who can actually compete at that level.
Slayers is supposed to be a competitive team, not a vehicle of e-sports and a tool to promote anything. Is she getting paid? Does she have access to team training area?
Whose time is she going to take to practice?
Which real progamer is going to have to sit out a GSTL game so she would get to play (and according to Jessica she will)?
I'm in because I'm gonna roll the dice and say she'll do quite well. Sure, SlayerS_Jessica scouted her for her looks and talent, but we can't forget the talent side. That long with Boxer must have rubbed some scouting talent onto her (no innuendo there at all)
LOL xD SlayerS fielding a diamond league player in GSTL would be hilarious in all seriousness, i don't think we'll ever see her do well in a pro match so i don't think this fanclub is very usefull, and it's blatant it was only done because of her "looks"

true, but they're ridiculous because they're people that actually don't deserve them. She may deserve it, but we can't know yet, so it's just making it less of a achievement if she just gets it when she doesn't deserve it... when she may actually deserve it

You maybe be able to see her play in GSTL. SlayerS has expressed that they plan to field her this season.
And comn theres much more ridiculous fanclubs if you have a look.
It's acceptable to be a fan of these teen boys because they have actually played games and competed in events that we have seen. Eve has not. The only more ridiculous fanclub I can think of is the Lindsey Sporrer one. After Eve plays some games, I might join this fanclub (probably not though, because she is terran). But if I like her style and she puts up results, I will. Right now is too soon.
On July 15 2011 18:45 Perseverance wrote: uhhh so she's like diamond skill level? How long has she been playing?
~200 games if her profiles are correct and she has ~50% winrate. Maybe Jessica scouted her because she was playing fairly well after a relatively small amount of games? I guess that's pretty impressive considering:

I hate the hypocracy. People who play games dislike girl gamers, those that make a point out of being a girl and play games (usually pretty bad at it) and acts allmighty. Same goes for whiteknigths (usually those hitting on these girls) And then, an anonymous girl is spotted, not making much of herself and everyone wants to know name, see VODs, see pictures, area of living etc etc.
If she ever becomes someone at the top, I will cheer on her as a player if she has an interesting style. There is a reason for why players like HuK and IdrA is not liked in my book. It's simply boring to watch from my POV, while players like Moon, MMA, Polt, MKP, NesTea, White-Ra, MorroW are fun to watch.

People never dislike girl gamers. The attitude in this fanclub is based on the fact that a gold league player can get into slayers because she is a good looking female and get a fanclub because she got into slayers despite being a gold league player, which happened because she is a good looking female.
I won't blame anyone who plays in gold league of korean server states his/her opinion and says SlayerS would pick me too if I was a good looking female/I look as good as her and I'm top 8 in my gold league division, why didn't SlayerS pick me. In fact, I'd probably support.

Thing is, if there would be equality, there wouldn't be 2 different sexes. But, that being said, those looks shouldn't be enough for a girl to be recruited by a pro team despite being a gold league player. That just shouldn't work. We might give them their own division if they want but if they want to compete in the same division as men, that should go accordingly, which means that they shouldn't be recruited by teams despite being gold league players. I hope that I'm expressing my view clearly.

You can have two different sexes while having equality. Equality isn't 50/50 in leadership. It's hiring whoever is best suited regardless of sex. It doesn't matter she's a girl, it's why she's there in the first place. And from the looks of it, it's due to her having a vagina. And the fact that people made a fanclub before she has even done anything, and there is no reason for doing so other then she being a girl. It's sad, really.

@chokke i wasnt being totally sarcastic, i would join but she has to prove herself first. Just because she is a girl who plays sc2 doesnt mean i will automatically become a fan of hers, just like the guys she has to show shes good at the game. Sorry if i came off as mean or terribly sarcastic.
I was just hoping if this fan club came up was based on her SKILLS not her looks, when that is the case i will gladly join .
There are lots of things that can make you a fan. You can be a fan because of the player's skill, personality, the team he/she comes from, etc. I'm not a fan yet but there is nothing wrong with Eve having a fan club IMO.
The only requirement to have a fan club is to actually have fans. That, and a few minor things here and there obvs like actually being involved in sc2 since this is TLforums.
Can someone please confirm her sc2 account? I find it impossible to believe she's not masters at the very least.

I'm all for more female gamers and I do believe that encouragement is a good thing, but this fanclub is a little premature.
By making this fanclub this early before anyone has actually seen her play only forces 90% of the thread to include people arguing the relevance of such a fanclub.
Having said that; I do wish Eve all the best and hope she trains and does well in the future.

I was already pretty interested in Team SlayerS before I got in, however when the team was recruiting, my ladder rank went down from 50th to 2000th. At first I couldn't ask (T)BoxeR to let me join the team, but after some time passed I got a better ranking and SC2 skills and eventually called up (T)BoxeR. (T)BoxeR allowed me to participate in the tournament for the SlayerS tryouts right away. Although the tournament was only for those in SlayerS clan, (T)BoxeR gave me the privilege to participate without a clan-entry test as we were both former SKT1 players. In the tournament, there were 64 players and I ended up getting first place and entry into the team as the prize.
That's how Min joined SlayerS. Also, if that ID is hers in Gold, which I don't know why people are assuming that, she could have just made a new ID when she joined the team, and got placed into Gold, and is now stuck there as the ladder is locked.

That's how Min joined SlayerS. Also, if that ID is hers in Gold, which I don't know why people are assuming that, she could have just made a new ID when she joined the team, and got placed into Gold, and is now stuck there as the ladder is locked.
wtf how does this have 17 pages? O.o
Yeah, it's typical for aspiring progamers to get placed into Gold after their five placements matches. According to this precise NA-KR comparison she probably had to fight NA grandmasters in her five placement matches and only lost because of a misclick with her new mouse she wasn't used to.
Isn't it a bit early to be creating a fanclub about a new female progamer playing for a huge team that we've only seen once, and not playing for that matter?
Also, female SC2 competitive gamers/casters already exist. There's KellyMILKIES who isn't that highly ranked but has done well in minor tournaments and casted some major events like GSL Code A. There is Pikachu as well, who has been featured on Razer's site.

Honestly, it sounds weird, but there's no real reason to even be complaining when there's a heading on top of Lindsey Sporrer's fanclub not to judge on whether the fanclub is valid or not. Btw, Lindsey doesn't even play the game and she has a huge fan listing.

But the fan club for Lindsey is for the exact same reason. This fan club isn't legit either, but at least she's a "player" for a pro team. Pathetic anyhow.
the league would be responsible quite a bit for F.United I'd imagine, whether that's direct influence or indirect (i. giving gsl spots encourages foreigners to come over). but your point is still generally correct.

It's an insult towards the players/people who actually do have accomplished something or did something for the community, she however has accomplished nothing so far, thus there is no way you could be a fan of her, the only way you could be a fan of her is because of her looks and gender, but then we might aswell make a fanpage for every female gamer.
you seem to forget, she has boobs, its sad but true... if this was a man, no one would care
This is so sad that people are a fan of this person. She is in Gold for Christ sakes. This just takes away from players who actually accomplish something. She will just burden her team in the GSTL and make SlayerS look less serious. Poor decision to pick her up and be a fan.

I heard on the Korean server you're placed into Gold (Not 100% sure about this part) and you have to work up 1 league at a time. She made an account, got placed in Gold, and ladder is locked so shes stuck there. If you want, you can check her match history and see if she's playing gold level players or masters level players but thats up to you. Just remember before you criticize someone to know the whole story beforehand.

Because she hasn't played a single game. Literally everyone who signed has never seen her play. What possible reason is there to make a fanclub? Because it's a player from slayers? By that logic every slayers player should have a fan club. The sole reason there's a fanclub and people are signing is because she's a girl. That's kinda pathetic and reinforces a plethora of stereotypes about nerds and online gaming communities, which is why some people have a problem with it. I'm all for gender equality in esports, but gender equality people should be treated a certain way because of their own merit, regardless of gender.
I don't hate this person, but until we actually see her play it seems ridiculous to have a fanclub.
It's great to see more females engaging in something as male-dominant as esports (: Even if she isnt the most skilled player, she's a role model for other females who may be aspiring to become progamers, but haven't had the confidence to come out (I guarantee you there are many amazing female players who shy away due to the community)! GL in your future as a progamer Eve. ^^

This is a FAN CLUB, not a place for you to call if it is pathetic or not regardless of your opinion, create a thread question the mods about this or just ignore it.
She is the first female, korean SC2 progamer (that i know of), so we should appreciate that she tries it and opens the door for others. No matter what she might or might not be able to achieve, she is still a pioneer and deserves our respect for trying.

There is nothing wrong with eve and if SlayerS wants to recruit her then that's fine, but this fanclub is a joke when you consider that not only has she never done anything that anyone's seen at all, but she's also never even been interviewed properly so no-one knows anything about her personality either. This is no different to if there was a Jessica Alba fanclub.
Guys what's the real word on her skill? I don't care if she's a girl or not, if she can show us amazing games then, I will be a fan. Can anyone link me to a game with her in it? Groups like SNSD had fanclubs from as early as 2004-2005 despite only being named and debuting in 2007. Male groups, too, since BEAST, 2PM and 2AM were cut from the same cloth and had fans even before their names were decided.

I think you make their fanclubs yourself? You just need a single poster to make one of these fanclubs threads and people will start signing up. I know I would, but I'm too lazy to create a well-written fanclub OP.
10 pages of virgin sheep, 10 pages of bitchy mysognists. Good job, SC2 community.

True, didn't mean to complain about the way people interact/comment on this fanclub, but noting the weird state it's in currently... i'm sure as soon as she plays any public games or anything about her comes out (aside from photoshopped porn that is) this fanclub will be filled up with (slightly more) meaningful discussion.

This fan club was created too early. Should have waited till all the hate subsided... that way there aren't 21 pages of this crap.

Way to post complete nonsense, Mister, but since you don't have anything of substance to say, I guess this is the best you can do.
Does it affect you personally that this girl is now on the SlayerS team? Why else would you complain? Because they didn't pick you? Didn't think so. Ignoring the fact that there are many other players out there who are far more deserving of getting a spot on a pro-gaming team, you can understand why a lot of people are suspicious of this.

Who are you to judge what she's deserving of? Clearly the SlayerS team thinks differently, and I'd venture that their opinion has more merit than yours.
I think the people criticizing this fan club(and sure, probably a lot of the people joining) are completely missing the point. The idea is to show some support for the girl, make something of a positive display, and try to have a counterpoint to all the asshole negativity that's being thrown around everywhere. Sure some of the nerds here may not get it and just want to stare at her, but that's irrelevant.
Sign me up. I don't even bother with fanclubs for my favourite players, honestly, but this has some merit. Hopefully this gets huge and we can show that TL has more to say than "get this fucking gold league chick off my precious SlayerS!"
This is Boxers team, I don't think he'd recruit dead weight to the team. Won't know until she plays, but I hope she does well, not only because I like Slayer_S, but because it might help some more top-tier female players gain notoriety.

I'm just curious what it is you are suspicious of. Has someone deceived you? I think what you meant to say was "..you can understand why a lot of people are upset/frustrated?" That is understandable but if you were offered a spot on SlayerS team would you say no? Maybe you should vent in a blog about SlayerS recruitment tactics instead of coming to this poor girls fan club to bash on her?
I like slayers_eve, but I have to say that I kind of agree with this Mapthesoul guy. Everyone here who signed up are, in my opinion just white knights. I mean you haven't even seen her play. :o
It's like, why don't you just start a fan-club around me? C'mon broskys, please explain to me! :o
This has most probably been stated before, but come on, are you serious? Did Jessica actually scout her because of her looks? I mean.. she's hot yes, but wtf?
I sincerely hope Eve does well. In most physical competitions (e.g. Track and Field), women have a physiological disadvantage, but IMHO the reason women perform poorly in e-sports is about 98% due to gender roles. If Eve, or any female gamer, practices as hard and receives the same level of respect and encouragement as any other player would, there's no reason won't be a real competitor, and I hope her career inspires others, because the more females that attempt pro gaming, the more likely one will turn out to be truly great.

And in case someone from there happens to read these replies, keep your head high, enjoy the game and give finger to those haters! (Or pay no attention, what they do not deserve )

Very very desperate. How can you make a fanclub when you`ve never seen this person play?
This is very faulty logic, considering there are many personalities who should have fanclubs but don't (ie staff of various tournaments such as Sundance or Mr. Chae) that most people haven't seen play.
Anyways, I support Eve and SlayerS and wish the best of luck to her :D.
A female pro-gamer ? And a Terran, being able to practice with Boxer and MMA??!! Not to mention that she looks damn fine. High hopes for you girl. Fighting!

Not faulty logic at all, Sundance and Mr. Chae aren`t players and don`t make a living playing starcraft. Eve is only known for being a player and I guarantee not one fan in this post has ever seen her play.
I would bet my life savings that if Eve wasn`t a girl no one would even know who she was and there wouldn`t be a fanclub, and I`d go as far as to say that she wouldn`t even be in SlayerS.
Edit: I`m just retorting, this is not disrespectful or negative at all, it`s just the truth.

Well, we can still appreciate her courage to go into such a male-dominated scene. If there were more women trying it, there wouldn't be fan clubs for those that haven't shown their play yet.
I don't care if she will win against MMA in a month or if she loses every match, she still opens the door for other women that might want to try it.
I hope that some day, women in esports are nothing special and compete on the same level and the same stages as men. Eve is another step on the ladder for this to happen.

This is negative -.- And it probably doesn't belong in a fanclub. In a fanclub, people are fans. If you don't like someone, you can express it, but best if its NOT in their fanclub.
Jessica signed her for her looks and her play. I am a fan for her looks and her play. I don't saw her play yet, but I trust Jessica over Bnet rankings ("KR Diamond") anytime.
One reason for a fan club is to show that player you support them (they may run into their fanclub one day or another assuming TL is still popular and word goes around). Sometimes support really helps player (especially if there is negativity surrounding the player :\). (Now I just need Rain and San to check their fan clubs >.>).
Sign me up, hope she does well and it might help knowing there are foreigners supporting her (supposing someone tells her there is a fan club like this one I guess lol). Need more female pro gamers in my opinion, good luck to her!

I don't they're able to because she wasn't on the team at the start of the season. She has to be entered as part of the lineup at the beginning. Next team league, though, most likely she'll be there. Unless she's made of fail.
Fingers crossed she reaches master level soon and she can compete.

Yes, I agree. There was a Grandmaster account I was trying to keep track of that wasn't someone streaming but played very much to my liking based on the one (and only available 1v1) replay I'd seen of them, but they stopped playing...almost like they knew they were being watched and hunted down... (until a certain point, the account was still playing games, just no more replays were becoming available)
I hope she gets to play sometime, so that we can at least support her however he plays. Hopefully her style is more interesting than that of TossGirL though. I do wonder, however, if she might be a better opponent for Yellow than Boxer is.
Too bad we won't have an opportunity to see her play any time soon. The next match against oGs will be immensely important and only SlayerS' front runners should be sent out.
She says she plays SC2 for money and SC1 because its more fun. She was/is A- in BW. She's been playing 12+ hours a day so yeah I'd say she's started to train seriously and I'm positive she's higher than Diamond (Though Korean Diamond = high masters NA) now, I won't say much else because I'm not sure it's my place to.
I'm not fantastic at this game but she tooled me while offracing and only using one hand lol.
Another friend, her and I were trolling 3v3s a few nights ago, her English is actually really good for a Korean. We could communicate, as long as verb tense wasn't involved. XD
A- in BW puts her a lot better then most of the foreigners already. If she plays 12+ hours a day, looks like we might get to see her soon. Hopefully. (especially if they wanted to play her yesterday)

She was A- in BW? It puts her on par with some of the lesser NA progamers. If that information is more publicized, the amount of trolling/insults directed toward her will decrease. She is worthy of a practice partner position at least. We need a confirmed source.
I'm still waiting for her to come back online later tonight to confirm but seeing as how she said she's on Slayers and her voice is extremely feminine I don't see how she couldn't be. My friend I met her through is a NA top 50 GM and she beats him though she's had much less time put into SC2, she's very talented.
Edit: Yeah confirmed. Played with her all night again lol.

That's putting it mildly. I'm looking forward to seeing her play and hopefully winning to put the haters to shame!
Yeah guys, she's Korean GM. A few days ago she was rank 8 but its so volatile I dunno where she is now. She plays under several accounts just like everyone else there, so anyone who gives a rats ass about her ladder ranking on that account is retarded. She belongs on Slayers, and if she wanted to try out for GSL, she could easily make Code A if not S.

Lol the TL netizens putting her on the Code A pedestal already. Anyway I am very sure EVERYONE fan, hater and neutral sc2 follower alike wants to see her play. And I am pretty sure she is quite good. Slayers wouldn't put her in the team house just as a decorative presence.

She is indeed good-looking, but I wonder if that being included in why she was recruited reveals anything about the role girls can expect to play if they attempt to join the progaming scene.

DRG codunt even make code A for a while and he was never in Diamond. I am very skeptical that it is that easy for people to just waltz into Code A or Code S.

I don't have any proof yet guys, and with all the crap she's getting in Korea I doubt I will be anytime soon. You'll just have to see for yourselves when she gets to play in the team league. Literally all I know is that I am talking to her and that she said she was GM. I've no idea what account since I play against her when she's using my friend I met her through's NA account. Obviously if those accounts don't have any games played in S3 they aren't the ones she's been practicing on, jus sayin. She's super kind considering she finds time to play with me any my friend since we're so far below her in skill. We've just been messing around too, I think she's doing it to enjoy the game after all the serious stress I'm sure she's under all day training.
Obviously there are lots of trolls on the internet but for once I'm not being one. Also she loves stuffed animals. I almost died of moe overdose. She has tons.
Edit: Also I'm just a guy who's friend goes to Yale and is fluent in Korean and went over to train with IM and mess around playing SC2 during his foreign exchange program. Apparently she's coming to the states in December to study at Yale with him lol. Its just that I got lucky and met some pretty cool people. I suppose I'll have my first proof for you when they get back, as I'm getting a mousepad signed by as much of IM as possible from him when he gets back. What good would it do? She's using a NA account. I'm not sure she'd want that so I'd have to ask and I'm not sure when I'll run into her again. Not sure I want to ask either, don't want to seem like a fanboy. The primary reason I get to hang with them is because I'm not all like OMG I GET TO PLAY WITH SLAYERS EVE. Both times we've hung out its been because I was 3v3ing with the guy I know her through and my other friend and it was his turn to play KH so she took over playing SC2.
man who cares of all this stuff we just want to see if shes really good at sc2. a girl playing rts at high level could be cool for the future of the scene
btw this " she's coming to the states in December to study at Yale" is hard to believe though :D
Yeah I'm sure it is, I'm going to hold off on the stories for now though, I'm not even sure if it's appropriate for me to say what I have. I apologize to my friends if it isn't. I'm just trying to clear up some of the obvious misconceptions. Bottom line is as others have said before. SlayerS wouldn't have picked her if she was just a pretty face. Jessica is a top notch manager and has a good eye for talent.

Provide proof then. You are free to send any "proof" you have to our PMs and I won't contact SlayerS, if they're believable.
Also that edit makes me believe you are 100% trolling T_T
Sometime in the future, on a fictional forum, Ragnorock will be writing: I don't have any proof, but there was this time, when I was playing 3v3's with SlayerS_Eve on NA, that I posted about it on TL.net and KellyMilkies herself threatened to contact SlayerS clan just to confirm my story. I told her that I was a huge fan of her and we sorted it all out via PM's afterwards. Actually, we still hang out, after that. I play 4v4's with her, Eve and megumixbear regularly, but they all play under different nicks when they play with me, so I can't prove it and it would be inappropriate for me to give out the PM's, but I swear it's true. Somehow, the girls of eSports just like to hang out with me. True story.
Go go Credibility Boy!
On topic: It's awesome that Eve has joined SlayerS and I'm looking forward to seeing her play. I think she may be a great gamer for girls to look up to and be inspired by, as soon as she gets some proper screen time. I would really like for her to qualify for the individual leagues as well.

It's probably just the angle but I agree. Something looks off and I'm not 100% sure it's her...

Nah, hair can be changed and styled so that's not bothering me too much. I think it's more the distance b/w the eyes/eyebrows and the lips, but at that angle, I can't tell if I'm just plain wrong. Either way, they're both cute PP
I'm sure Jessica gives her image coaching and makeovers though. There's also surgery which is pretty standard. Tbh, I hope she practises hard and shows some results in matches as well as maintaining her looks.

Yeah, I'm sure SlayerS isn't foolish enough to not get her another unknown account to play with and I'm equally sure that no one on SlayerS is foolish enough to incur Jessica's wrath by publicly saying anything about Eve's unknown account.

That's what I said. Slayers Eve is not the girl in the video but she looks like she could be Kim Eve the other girl on that you tube channel (although I highly doubt it). Korean girls with and without makeups look very different.
Yeah I even mistaken Kim Eve for the girl in the video I posted. Anyway imo Kim Eve looks different from Slayers_Eve. Again their lips are different. (*Why am I so obsessed with those lips??? :S *)

Just so you guys know... Some time ago Cella tweeted there will be a 2v2 showmatch between BoxeR+Jessica and Eve+MMA. http://www.razerzone.com/gstar/slayers
Judging from her play last night, she seems to have decent macro. Her army size was always the biggest, her APM was high, and she never seemed to be floating minerals. Her drop play was ok too. It seems unfair to judge on a friendly 2v2, but she made some really bad engagements.. I think everyone screamed "noooooo!" along with cerra during the 2nd game at the end. + Show Spoiler +
running into sieges on her own ramp
I'd have loved to see a showmatch between eve and boxer after the 2v2's. Hopefully we'll see her play some more now.

I haven't checked the sidebar in a while, but he might show up there as Cancella. I dunno if his stream title ever got changed on TL or not. And yes, there is a VoD of the 2v2 with Cella casting. She was the first female player signed to a GSTL team, and this was the first time anyone saw her play? There's millions of pretty girls in the world, but they signed this one, so there must be something else there but that. So everyone is waiting to see if she gets to play in the GTSL / Code B/A/S or whatever. So far, just this 2v2 show match.
I have never seen her games but I really support Eve and SlayerS clan in the way they're promoting esports among women. PS: I don't know if there is a chance but I wish I could see her in today's GSTL match (SlayerS vs oGs). Anyway go go go SlayerS hwaiting !!
They're really kept her under wraps, save for that one showmatch appearance. I'd have thought with more teams having female players now, we'd have started to see them emerge, but none of the teams seem to be fielding them.

Yeah, really. Eve was recruited roughly EIGHT MONTHS ago.
female gamers by far are the most dangerous when trained and given the same opportunities. It is a fact that compared to men, then have the best hand-eye coordination and have better decision making in tight spots. Yikes!
she looks to be quite good but not amazing. didn't get to see her multi tasking skill. had a few pauses in scv production in early game, not for more than 5 seconds. a bit sloppy in some area like not rising depot in time. but she definitly is good player, carried up some mind games like early forward rax placement

Apparently they played on the wrong map (metropolis not metalopolis) and was forced to regame. Obviously that would be very distressing, so Aurora forfeited the tournament, which was a shame. Not Eve's fault, but an unfortunate incident regardless.
On April 29 2012 14:07 corpuscle wrote: Eve picked Metropolis, which wasn't in the map pool, and then for some reason they decided that Aurora should get a forfeit because of that.
Not quite, Aurora chose to forfeit, they decided that it should have been a regame. Obviously Eve's fault, but again Aurora also didn't point out that it was not in the map pool. It would have been a regame even if Eve had won, and it's understandable that Aurora was upset, but the rules do cover the situation that occurred since players cannot agree to play on a different map thats not listed in the map pool. Again understandable, but they didn't force Aurora to forfeit.

Aurora lost game two, she chose Metro, she then proceeded to use another Baneling all-in like in game 1 after getting dominated by Eve in a macro game on game 2. Eve wouldn't been out of the tournament and would have fallen to the LB but they pointed out to Aurora that Metro wasnt in the map pool and offered her the chance to regame, she refused and was DQ'd. Aurora had an advantage by choosing Metro because of the narrow choke so it her desicion to not regame was amusing :D
Eve was much better than Aurora was and the desicion was worth it as she went on to show some more good games (Two series against Aphrodite ) was great to finally see her play and she played well for her first tournament appearance.

"gud" motivation for her, and for the team mates I hope Go go SlayerS !
She used to said "please cum and give me ur energy" > hehe
Don't do that again man, this is a bad joke really -.-
Oh no, I dont mean it in that kind of way, just laughing at her language. I'm just remembering what she posted and few people correcting her.

I'm not following Tossgirl at all but, with all those BW pros transitioning to SC2, what about Tossgirl herself becoming the Tossgirl of SC2 ? Did she finally retire ?

Quit!
I mean what is she supposed to do she hasn't showed any obvious talent or anything of the sort. She was recruited based on her looks and then we didn't hear anything about her for what a year. I mean it would be cool if she got to a GM level and she joined a foreign team, but she probably didn't.
It just makes me said. I understand these PR stunts where they pick up women, but if you have to do such a thing at least pick up someone that is good and is willing to put up with the practice schedule (And don't tell me that she didn't anything of the sort because to my knowledge she hasn't played a single match fucking EVER). They haven't even given her the opportunity to play in cups or lesser starleagues (and they played in a couple) which obviously means she hasn't achived any notable skill level.

Ohh and Tossgirl unlike Eve actually played around 200 games in major and lesser tournament (And around 20 televized games) unlike Eve who played no games!
Ohh sorry. I'm really sorry SHE PLAYED ONE GAME! And that was today. I'm sorry I missed that, but that game doesn't matter because they knew that they were disbanding so they were like. Why not let her play I mean we can't accomplish anything anyway.

You've got quite the class to flame and diss in a fanclub, no?
