What qualifies you to say any of this? Are you playing GM/High Masters Koreans like LS is?

I hope this is just a lie lol...

I actually disagree. I think his understanding of the game is completely above most foreign players, you can just watch his vlogs and you can tell that he has an amazing understanding of the game. So far this hasn't translated into success, but I definitely think that he can understands the game on a whole different level from most foreigners. Remember, he spends all day talking to korean pro's and practicing in different korean pro houses. Obviously he needs to work on his play, because if he didn't he would be playing much better.

The first was that his Twitter, YouTube, and TwitchTV stuff was taken down PRIOR to any games played. This is all suppoosidely handled by a IRL friend. Also, when I try to go directly to one of the videos I had bookmarked it says it's Private and I have to log in, not that it doesn't exist.

Since the media he had wasn't deleted, just set to private, it could be that it was all moved to private to try to prevent more information from leaking out.
Again, these are both rumors and I have no proof of either.
Why would anyone have to login in someone's account to check his matchhistory lol?
I really doubt Squirtle and PartinG would do something like that, also yea if they want to check out his builds they don't need to login in his account but they can just check it with their own accounts.

Do you have a source for these rumors?
I don't really see why this info would really help Parting or Squirtle... this isn't Brood War. Info, replays and VODS are pretty public these days. I don't really know how getting into someone's account could do anything either, unless you want to delete all their friends, get them him/her banned or wreck their winrate (and none of those would affect tourney performance). Pretty sure that replays are stored locally too.

They only need his name and bnet number to look at his match history. So stealing his login password would be really pointless, which makes me believe that it probably didn't happen. If anything the ST coaches just friend added his account and checked his recent match history.

let's stop discussing that rumor someone made up out of nothing.

Felt bad for him, he was looking pretty sick. Wearing a mask like that can be anything from having a cold to pneumonia, and on top of the travel in from Korea we obviously didn't see him at his best. Props that he still flew in and competed, albeit for a short time.
Hope to see him at his best at a later date.

Day[9] addressed this on the stream, so it's hardly a 'rumor someone made up out of nothing'.
I don't know how to go about getting the timestamp on when he did, but I've heard several people saying he did mention something about this during the cast today.

LS might be a douche for all I know, I haven't followed him very closely, but none deserves this kind of treatment. He was invited to a tournament, so wtf was he supposed to do? Turn it down!? How on earth are lesser experienced players ever gonna get anywhere in this sort of climate?
He seems to be really upset about his performance (and probably all the hate he's been getting) and ends up deleting his shit. Then people jump on this and goes on reddit and other places to flame the shit out of him calling him a loser etcetc. Who the fuck do these people think they are? It's a complete and utter disgrace.
I'm starting to lose the little faith I had over this community. Influental pillars of the community (like iNcontroL) can no longer present moderate criticism towards another player (directing towards the post he made at the SotG thread, not from the podcast, that criticism was towards Day[9] as far as I'm concerned) without becoming an involuntary fuel for the community's hatemachine.
Again, LS might be an arrogant fool and a dramaqueen who deleted everything he had just to get sympathy and attention, but there is no way most of the hating assholes would have any idea if this is the case or not.
If you feel such a need to hate on someone over the internet, tell it to them when they are doing good, don't kick them while they are down, it's not very nice....
/rant
Disclaimer: I'm not saying LS's supposed attitude haven't contributed at all to what he is recieving now, but people should be able to be different and still be met with a certain amount of respect.
Lastly, a question I got a lot over twitter was will we be seeing you compete in more Korean tournaments such as the Korean Weekly, and although you've said you have no desire to return to the US full time, do you see yourself competing at any foreign events in 2012?
LastShadow: I don't see myself competing in any foreign Tournaments. It's not wise for sponsors to send players toe events they can't guarantee at least a top 4 finish over 90% of the time with certainty, that's a waste of money and if a team/sponsor was supporting me I wouldn't want to waste their money when people like MVP, Nestea, MMA, etc exist and go to events. Additionally one might argue that I could try for the Code A seed through MLG. That's so morally fucked up I can't even imagine why someone would aim to knowingly steal a seed from a Korean that probably deserves it more than you. If I deserve Code A, I will win through the qualifiers, I shouldn't obtain it through silly invites or online tournaments, that's dishonourable and pathetic compared to what the ancestor game bw set as a standard for us. I'll play in show matches if requested/I get invited to, but that's about the extent of it. If I do happen to join a team that is in GSTL or KSL or whatever, then I will play there too.
Well there ya go!

This has been addressed on Live on three. He said that he was invited for the storyline. Not because he was friendly towards day9. Also you hate him? What the fuck? You hate/lose respect for a person because he underperformed at a tournament? Arn't you just a dick.

Why would you post this in his fanclub then?
Also "I'll play in show matches if requested/I get invited to, but that's about the extent of it" seems to fit why he came to redbull, but I doubt he'll get invited to any other tourneys abroad unless he has some strong showings in online tourneys. Let's hope to see that though!

To be honest, I really doubt he would ever think that he wouldn't be able to take a Ro4 finish, given the fact that no one has that low self esteem if you're playing the best of the best...
|
He's referring to the fact that he won't compete in foreign tournaments because it is unwise for teams to send players there who probably will not win. Thus there is not disincentive for him not to go, since he will win at least $500.
