Wolf "Wolf" Schröder is an American StarCraft II player and caster. Wolf played Terran in Brood War. As Starcraft 2 came out Wolf acquired his beta key and decided to continue playing Terran, switched to Protoss after the first few patches resulted in a vast changes within the game.
Wolf has not played in any notable tournaments since release, focusing mainly on his commentary. Currently Wolf is one of the main casters for GSL code A along side Khaldor. He is an amusing and loved part of our community and we are here to appreciate the work and passion he does for our community.
Wolf/QXC cast:
Although Wolf is best known for his StarCraft II commentary. He grew up playing several different genres of games. He played Super Smash Bros. Brawl competitively, winning many local tournaments.
Let me in on this. Wolf is one of the best commentators that I have had the opportunity to listen in on during my short time watching the GSL. If not for his insightful commentary and humorous demeanor then I probably wouldn't have latched on as well as I did. Thanks to him I have become quite the fan of the GSL and a fan of Wolf himself.
This thread needs to see more activity. Wolf gets nowhere near as much credit as he should for his casting, solo or otherwise. His solo cast of Code S today was excellent.
Sign me up, really find his casting insightful and entertaining. He's also managed to keep me engaged during his solo casts, which is not an easy feat for most casters.
Wow. The camera shot of his solo casting summarizing the games after the NesTea match... what a boss. Awkward shot not having the tables cover half the body, but Wolf is so boss. His commentary is so superb and professional.
Always enjoyed this guy but he did an exceptional job solo-casting tonight. Sign me up as a fan. Also, someone tweet wolf to ask that cute girl in the crowd out for drinks
You really don't have enough posts in your fanclub. Awesome casting once more. Even in the last match you sketched the scenario beautifully. Also, awesome reaction towards the fangirl. Made me smile. EDIT: Add me to the fanclub list!!
Wolf has possibly the strongest solo cast in my opinion and goes so well with either tasteless and Artosis . I'm also one of the harshest critic of commentators I know and can't stand to listen to the majority, gj man, nice to see someone intelligent following and understanding builds and trends in play properly as well as not repeating and filling with horrible overused phrases and misunderstanding almost every situation like the majority of commentators, good job.
Sign me up, please. Wolf is one of my favorite casters, I love how he can work well with almost any other caster but also cast with great insight and energy while on his own.
seriously though, when you were doing Code S by yourself, was some of the best casting i've seen in a while (no offense to your co-casters, they are also always awesome!) but it was oddly refreshing just to have one caster during the games. it felt... more personal in a way.
Aw I was hoping it would include the part where Wolf was talking about hair to Khaldor, and Khaldor (having a bit of fun) started to threaten Wolf a bit to the point that he looked genuinely worried, it was great haha. I can't remember when it was though.
Speaking of Wolf and hair, I'm not really a fan of the light blonde, though hopefully if he has decided to experiment it wont stay that way for too long.
Turned on GOM stream for the first time in months and u were casting Code A. Almost forgot how much I love you as a caster. Please keep it up Wolf. Ur entertaining and, in terms of smarts, practically Artosis II.
Hey wolf. Your fan club is so dead T.T Just wanted to say i enjoy all of your streaming especially the christmas party with doa. Hope you stream more often :D
Please sign me up, don't know why I haven't joined yet. He is awesome, I like his casting since the very beginning. With Khaldor absolutely flawless. Keep up the great job!
Im not a wolf fan in general but I must admit, what a great performence at solo casting (which is not easy). Thanks, I was worried at first but the casting went awesome.
Wolf and the DT co-casters deliver another stellar cast! Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing you cast more tournaments outside of Korea this year.
By far the best solo caster, so good this morning for Stephano's games. You know when and how to hype better than any other caster in the business, even when they are in pairs.
I remember the times when there were two simultaneous casts of Code A going on, and the poor guy would be solo casting in a secluded room, totally lonely and in isolation from the outside world
I'm going to hop onto the bandwagon and say it was an awesome cast today. I like 2 person casts a lot, but Wolf's solo casting is such a nice change of pace. Slower but filled with so much information.
What impressed me most about his cast tonight was his stamina. He kept the excitement level high all the way through 4 hours of cast. Alone. That's brilliant.
I wouldn't call myself a fan but really good cast today in GSL, I liked the way you layed out the decisions they could be making and yet had a narrative going through the games too.
Especially good job on the last series, it was the best solo cast I have seen (Apart from a few by Orb who will remain my favourite caster).
I am anything but a stephano fanboi so im not just saying this because it was him playing.
I just watched group H and that was one of the best casting I have ever heard. To be honest it's the first time I prefer a cast to Tastosis... and it was a solo cast. What the shit.
And god, finally someone actually makes really good jokes and is just really smart funny in general. 180 supply but he has to GG! That's how he feels! haha.
When I first startet watching the GSL, I didn't really like Wolfs casting all that much, but over the last couple months, I startet enjoying him more and more, especially his solo casting. Unfortunately, I only managed to watch 2 of todays games, but it was well worth it tuning in. I hope we will be able to see more of Lone Wolf in 2013.
Wolf is currently the best high level caster/commentator, especially in terms of the korean metagame. He says things other casters are afraid to say.
I love the random questions and bad jokes during the first few minutes of every match It's a good contrast to the more serious commentary soon to come.
He casts very well with Brendan. Keep up the great work. Sign me up!
Wolf, if you are reading this I just want to say that you have truly risen in my eyes as one of the best commentators today. Great analysis, witty banter, and you seem like a genuinely nice guy. Mad props to you and huge thanks to Gom for making this constellation happen! Just watch out, you may rival Tastosis one day.
