Scarlettuuuuuuuuuu way too high expectation imo I don't know when she started playing the game, but to have 1-2 months only to attain the pro level doesn't seem to be very serious she should take more time I think

I mean if there is anyone who can do it though...

To answer her question, to avoid disappointment. Not that that's a good reason, but it's what I've been doing

and considering she has been playing dota longer then sc2 you cant bet against her doing it.

The point of expectations for yourself is not to reach them, that just means you set them too low. The point is to always know that no matter how well you do, the journey to perfection is not, and never will be, complete.
Also gieff more Dota stream.

She looks really determined to strike big this year in either games, which is so cool. i don't know nothin about Dota, but i recall reading that her MMR was around 5k before and that's comparable to master's in sc2...jumping up to what i assume would be like a grandmaster mmr in a month seems like quite a mountainto climb is it not? not doubting her, just wouldn't mind some clarification. well i got grandmaster my first season playing sc2; and i have played quite a bit of dota in the past so it doesnt seem unreasonable if i tryhard

Not doubting... it just doesn't make sense. 2nd, teach me how the fuck to improve that quickly please!
Either way.... good luck I guess. At least for today show off some of that natural talent please!

not in the case where you say that if you don't reach it, you will stop

It's a very good mindseet, but you actually have to have some success to make it work for you.
I was inspired so I went and played a ladder game... and lost brutally hard to a gold leaguer. Turns out, needless to say, I am not Scarlett, but it's inspirational none the less and I'll keep trying.
But anyway. You better knock em dead today! You're not done Sc2 just yet!

not in the case where you say that if you don't reach it, you will stop That's just hedging your bets. People say that all the time.

I would agree if she hadn't said that she would stop in just 1 month if not reaching her goal you say the point of an expectation is to not reach it, but then you have to try no matter what if she fails at the end of February, it will only be disappointment or it would feel like she didn't really try and didn't really want to reach this goal (and so, never actually wanted to play dota 2 as a pro)

that implies she was being 100% serious about returning to sc2 if she didn't make it

Scarlett, if you're gonna stream anyway, can you do some casting for this next match? Gretorp and Nate, as much as I like nate, are just not doing it for me right now
