anyway. lets see that vod!
uhm, "Princess Protoss" ?
i know she doesn't like being called queen of blades and yet princess protoss gotta love her lol (i get a feeling that was a dig at pilipili
)
am kinda gutted i never done this fan thread sooner reddits got nothing on xtorn and SetGuitarsToKill drama lol
the old post about her form is abit eemm sh!tty, altho the thing about scarlett (and i'll keep bringing this up)is she refused to go swarmhosts in HoTS and even then was on par with every other foreigner. yes a good player should take advantage of all tools available (naniwa / snute) but u have fooked wrists and train for 1/3 hours a match with that pi## and see if your still keen
to give an example follow scarlett vs "top 2014 foreigner" snute (with swarmhosts) he went to twice the events as scarlett and the closest he got to a big win was dreamachk Moscow
now compare the 2 runs
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2014_DreamHack_Open/Moscowhttp://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2014_MLG_Anaheimu cant really compare those 2 runs really can u and his WCS runs were not that much better ether
p.s yes going full fanaticthis post, but i feel she gets sh!t from people who don't read the whole book. sorry for sh!tting on snute again i do like the guy i just feel it was probably bunny last year (for atleast 6 months) but both have alot to prove over the next couple of years now they have targets on their backs. scarlett has proven it in HoTS 2014 during a rough time for her and zerg (this is not so much aimed at you SGTK more a cast i seen recently and got pi##ed at cant vent anywhere else
)
It's not my intention to turn this into a Scarlett vs Snute "who's the best foreigner" pissing match, (since Scarlett is my favourite player, and I like Snute a lot too,) but you're being incredibly unfair to Snute by reducing his 2014 to that one run.
Also Scarlett hardly refused to go swarmhosts (she tried to qualify using SH in WCS 2015 season 1 for example) and Snute got a lot of his wins on the back of his stellar ZvZ where Swarmhosts didn't come into play.
Besides that one Ro4 Snute got several Ro8 finishes in 2014, beating good Koreans in every run, and going out almost always against one of the stronger players in the tournament. If you wanted to compare both player's most impressive run you should've taken Snute's IEM Shenzen run. Sure, "only" Ro8, but including the qualifiers he went through an impressive list of players:
EU Qualifier: Loss vs First. Loserbracket wins vs: Welmu, Yoda, Jjakji, MC, First
Tournament run: He was in a group with True, Stork and INnoVation. He got out second, winning against True and Stork, with a close defeat against INno. In the Ro8 bracket he narrowly lost 3-2 against the JvZ from Jaedong.
He also had these runs:
WCS EU: Season 1 - Ro8 - Win vs Jjakji Loss: MMA
DH Open: Bucharest - Ro8 - Wins: HerO, Huk, Hyun Losses: Innovation, Jaedong (close match).
HSC IX - Ro16 - Win vs Stork, Balloon Losses: ended up in a group with 3 Koreans Taeja, MMA and Balloon. he beat Balloon.
Redbull Detroit - Ro8 - Wins: bunch of NA scrubs Loss vs Stardust
IEM Toronto - Ro8 - Wins: CJ.herO twice, sOs, First Loss: Life and in Ro8 a very close match vs Flash
WEC 2014 - 2nd - Loss vs Jaedong
DH Moscow - Ro4
HSCX - Ro8 - Loss vs Flash
IEM San Jose - Ro8 - Wins: True, Huk Losses: Rain, Ro8 close match vs Cj.herO.
Yes, he went to a lot of tournaments in 2014, and he performed very consistently in almost every one of them, almost always going out against a player who ended up in the finals afterwards. I have hard time not being impressed by that. That's why people call him "the best foreigner of 2014".
