Phoenixes when used right can pick up Marauders and take the meat out of an army and they are ideal for picking off Medivacs and Vikings.
That's my favorite build now.

So what you're saying is you were at the last 2 HSCs and both times Zest made the final, but he has neither hired nor married you for good luck yet.

Obviously they must have at least one translator available to help these guys when they come off the plane, take a cab to the hotel and get situated. Somebody had to help them with getting to the venue and knowing the schedule. In 2015 when Zest was at Katowice they asked him to say a word for the Polish fans in the audience. He said "Thank you, I love you". That was charming but it also indicates he was not comfortable with much else. My wife is from the Philippines and her mom probably knows as much English as Zest does. If you tried to interview her she would say something like that.

Inviting Solar was proposed by several fans, including myself, because he would be both an amazing player and excellent translator, especially because he is so close with many progamers (being one himself). But yeah, the idea of needing a translator is definitely correct. Without one guys like Zest can't really say anything meaningful. As an example of how this language barrier can distort perception, Inno is apparently regarded as a pretty funny guy in Korea, contrasting sharply with his utterly robotic reputation among foreigners (we caught a glimpse at NationWars).

Zest could not get an automatic WCS place because it is for circuit players only but the money and the points should be available to anybody. It should be like an IEM. The winner of Dreamhack Montreal gets 3000 WCS points and $25,000. 2nd place is $10,000 and 1400 points. I think they should apply to either side. Now I know what Blizzard is afraid of. It would not just be Zest. It would a few other Koreans on the bubble who will be coming over for those points and it will end up being 4 Koreans in the top 8 and an all Korean finals. Would not bother me at all.

Great idea! That could be a job opportunity for Polt after he finishes in the army. A guy who speaks English really well and certainly knows Starcraft inside and out. He would be a great interviewer-translator-anaylst.

That brings up another issue. Many casters live in Korea and as a result speak Korean well. Artosis, Tasteless, Wolf, Valdez, Rapid. Any of them would have been a nice addition. I know nobody seems to like Rapid but the casting of HSC is so informal and ridiculous at times he would have actually fit in.

Actually, Japanese, Korean and Chinese usually has trouble with learning English since their language do not follow Anphabet characters (character from A-Z) and they have very high national pride. And Philipines has long time being US's colony so I think it's only natural.

To me, I prefer the current system. It's not perfect, but it has shorten the distance between Koreans scene and Foreigner scene. And I think to Blizzard, growing SC2 in foreigner scene is more easier than growing SC2 in korean scene which had been declining due to the nation love to BroodWar.
