Personally It does not bother me what he did, he was making a point. Who cares.
Bottom line I did not break any damn rules!
"That's silly speculation."
"You're the one overreacting."
"You said he was never going to be an elite Korean player again, which is nothing but ridiculous speculation and overreaction."
"When you say something stupid, expect to be called out on it. " The wise move at this point is to let the whole matter drop.

EDIT: Did not see the mods post. Sorry.

Zest's group plays in Master's coliseum 2 tomorrow, Friday. Zest is in the first match vs Gumiho. Starts around 0600 CST or 1200 London time.
The format is different from any other tournament. Matches are 2 maps not best of 3. 5 to a group. Zest's group is Gumiho- SoO- Hero- iAsonu. He will play 2 maps with each of them or 8 maps total. Map record is most important.
12 players move on. The 2nd and 3rd place players play a round to to eliminate 4 of them and that gets to the final 8.
|
I really hope he can at least qualify for the next round. I know it is a really hard group with SoO, Gumiho and hero. hero is so strong at the moment! And soO just beat Stats ins GSL ST. Maybe Gumiho is the weakest at the moment, but he is still quite good. I expect hero to finish first and SoO second. Then I really hope that Zest will take the third place but the competition with Gumiho will be really hard. I still think that if he doesn't play strangely, he should be able to do it. But we never know, maybe Iasonu can achieve something as well.

TY and Stats were eliminated from group A with 2-6 map records so it is hard to predict. Perhaps they were not very motivated.
Byun did not even show for his matches yesterday.
Zest certainly should be motivated and prepared. He should have a specific idea how to play each of those 8 maps. He knew the opposition well ahead of time and the map pool has been played hundreds of times.
Given that Zest is not preparing for Blizzcon and could use the money he should be fired up for this. Let's hope so.

Show something Zest!
But yeah very strong group.
|
Zest is really bad at keeping map control. He had phoenix in this game and should have been able to beat Gumiho easily just by warping some units more.
|
Zest doing a Zest again.. come on. I think he likes to play with my nerves. He is always looking so good and everything and then he trhow the game by take one stupid decision.

He played that game perfectly for what he knew. Not scouting the hidden nexus cost him the game.

I don't think so. When he killed the forge which was upgrading, he should have known that he will have +2 while hero was 0. He should have build a timing around it, regardless of the fact that there was a hidden base.

He did, though. He had a timing lined up to pressure the main with stalkers and the third with his main army, but herO had an army at his third that was larger than it should have been - because of the hidden base. That's why Zest got caught with his main army and had to fight mid-map.

This is a Chinese sponsored tournament and the 2 Chinese players went 0-14 in maps. Had Byun showed up perhaps they would have been 0-16. Not a good showing for Time and iAsonu. At least Zest won his 2 maps vs iAsonu. 1-5 vs the Koreans.
The frustration continues.

Yeah about that 1-0

Lost 1-2 to Elazer in Olimoleague today. At least Inno avenged him.

As the rankings are being revealed among the 16 Blizzcon participants we can ask the simple question. How does Zest stack up in comparison? If he played a lands best of 7, $5000 winner take all show match vs each of these men how would he fare? I'm talking about Zest now.
16. Kalazhur-T 15. True-Z 14. Special-T 13. Snute-Z 12. Nerchio-Z
I think he handles Kela easy 4-1. True W 4-2, Special W 4-3. I think he loses 4-3 to the other 2 men.

On Lan bo7 for that kind of cash he is a favorite against all those players for sure.
