Honestly the one I'm most worried about from that group is soO. He's a great ZvPer and goes into overdrive in knockout stages. The other three are all doable.

I am just really pessimistic about Zest in general, i definitely need a great offline run to really see him as a contender for anything again. Hopefully!

Happy to see that Zest advanced, even if it was via the rematch curse. I have to agree with Olli on this one. Rogue is probably the strongest player in Group B, but the way the group is set up makes me think that Inno has the best chance of advancing first. Which leads us to Zest vs Inno in the Ro8, a matchup with a long history. They have a very close lifetime record, but paradoxically, whenever they meet it tends to be rather onesided. Last time it was Zest that got the better end of that onesidedness, but with the recent Terran buffs I'd hesitate to predict the same result again. The largest concern for Zest is probably adapting to the new meta, something he doesn't exactly have the best record with. Zest likes his Colossi in PvT, and I'd theorycraft that the PvT meta is definitely shifting away from Colossi after the Marauder+Viking buffs. I'm a big fan of both players though, so I'm pretty conflicted about it.

Unlike pvsnp I'm not conflicted at all. I want Zest to destroy him.

And idk about his PvT either, it's been a long since I've seen him playing terrans, even in online cups. Anyway we will know in a few days!

He's played Zest twice and they each won one. In GSL season 1 he got to the rd of 16 by beating Byul twice. Then he went out 0-2 in the rd of 16 losing to Maru and Gumiho. Seems like Dear is deadly against Zergs but not as much vs the other 2 races. I'm giving Zest a slight edge. Rogue basically blew it vs Dear. He had a hundred army supply advantage and still lost. Give Dear credit for resourcefulness making that dark shrine. The DTs chipped away at Rogue's worker count while giving him time to close the gap in army supply.

He's also a better PvPer than herO for example but seemed lost in the super cup

If that is the case then Zest should be practicing nothing but PvP and he is historically better than the others when that happens.

"When you see Zest play like that how could you ever doubt him? It's going to be Zest vs Rogue in the final I'm telling you."
