Only thing I would change is that sentence "Neuer a top 5 goalkeeper in the world" Exactly who is better than Neuer? Just curious Courtois. Possibly de Gea. Ontopic: great ranking, Pande. I have some minor quibbles, but overall I agree with it, even with where you placed Engerland!

As horny as it might make you to think this has to do with the US doing awesome, its mostly expats in the Valley and Finance that are making the trips along with a heightened interest amongst upper class residents because of the influence of the expats/just a general raising in interest overall. Lots of People from the US went to Brazil too. Infact if it wasnt for the lack of availability via the lottery the number of tickets sold in the US wouldve been significantly higher. (people would rather go to Brazil then Russia, duh), ofcourse it helps the US was actually at the event, but again most of the travelling fans end up supporting some European or South/Latin American country because the US has never really been that relevant. And even still the US was in the top 5 to Brazil aswell despite it being in South America and practically in the den of nearly every South American Country participating making it simply more difficult for Americans to get tickets for that particular event. Given that much smaller countries that are not wealthy, relative to population and wealth are sending significantly higher amounts of fans, the fact that you somehow extrapolated that this is a sign that the US is booming in some mystical manner dissimilar to 2014 is rather baffling. It may well be, I could care less if it is or isnt, but coming up with bullshit reasons to drive that narrative is starting to get grating.
