I wouldn't call it "culture" as much as different material conditions, or more specifically the way human beings will tend to act under those socioeconomic conditions (poverty, rapid imbalanced growth, state control etc). Sorry for continuing this derailment, but it's just that it irks me whenever people refer to these kinds of sociological phenomena as "culture", which I think of more as the collectively recognized ideas transmitted from one generation to the next, (e.g., confucianism, folk beliefs, socialism etc). I guess you could say the football culture of these two countries went in opposite directions, as Chinese football is atrocious . Looking forward to seeing the Chinese national team get rekt in the coming expanded World Cups. | ||
