But the other items do matter, not like d3 . I've seen uniques with 12-13 prefixes and rares with 7-8, rofl. I like it just how it is now, your loot is good, you get constant upgrades, but you need more farm for the best items in game.
And we have only being playing for 3 days. Give it some time.
ye i know, was just kidding ^^ even tho i would love to see those custom animations from legendaries.

man how did you get so many gems, I only have like 6 gems in my stash =[
I just transmuted this, pretty happy since I've always had a really really bad chest.

You're criticizing sometihng that is trivial. You clearly don't like the animations. Some people enjoy gameplay and don't worry too much about the animations.

Torchlight II doesn't need to be better than Diablo 3 or any other game. Its a different game. It should stand in its own light and be judged by its own merits. It has a demo downloadable. If you didn't enjoy the demo, no one is forcing you to buy the game.

Sorry Novalisk!
haha nice refrence there <3
Also for the guy who said graphics is bad, i am just gonna say it is a personal perference :S The details on the models in TL2 is so much better than D3, if you dont believe me just zoom in and amaze yourself. D3 is lacking in details on mobs models and background. tbh i am surprised to see this huge graphics improvement, tl1 was really meh.

I was thinking about that too but i am pretty sure that when i see a legendary it will be truly a legendary unlike some other game xD
Reading all of the above replies, it seems the question has been answered. In D2, the endgame is getting items (farming or trading) and PvPing. In TL2 this is not possible, there is no economy to facilitate getting the items you want and no PvP. So there's no endgame.
All you can do is reroll. But how many times can you play the same content before you get bored? There's no way I'm going to ever level up more than 2 characters. Too tedious, same shit. And I prefer to have 1 main character, not alts. I played WoW for 7 years, probably more than 98% of the time was spent on 1 main character. I never seriously played any alts.

You answered your own question. This is an ARPG, the whole fun point of playing diablo is to make different type of characters, hammderdin, bonemancer, zoomancer etc you can wikia them. Although I agree that PvP is a big thing for d2 and many people like that but to me it is the least important thing in a diablo game. I mean, none of my friends play pvp back then and we spent so much time to replay the game. Yes, people do replay RPG, from FF to Persona to all these WRPG from recent years, people replay them from time to time. I think people will make a mod for pvp anyway.

Hope you have fun playing through it once or twice then! Nobody's forcing you to play it over and over again if you don't want to. If you think a secure server to allow for trading is needed for you to enjoy the endgame you can wait for private server support or play Diablo 3 or Path of Exile or (to some extent) Diablo 2. For PvP you'll have to wait for the mod to come out (and modding would of course not be possible if TL2 forced 100% online secure servers like D3).
Just finished up the game, lvl51 engi, veteran. Before starting the new game +, gunna get all characters to 50, and then continue with who i like best. Man i havent been this addicted to a game in quite some time.

What ? Are you serious ? I'm level 24 and just started Act 2 and I had a stash FULL of gems, I transmuted every single one of them and now I have around 10. Maybe I got really lucky with those drops ^^

The Arena of Slaughter is pretty rough. Can get through rounds 1 and 2 pretty easily, but man that final round, there's just so much shit everywhere. Hard to move, if you get hit by the fire you die, small arena, easy to get trapped and surrounded. Says it's a level 38-40 area, and I'm at 45 getting worked hard. But it's so much fun.

It's the same story everytime I exit the local theatre. Every dude and his moma will say how much the script sucked, the pace wasn't right, the camera handling was lacking and I just cringe.
I am sorry but in such things professionals are the worst judges. You can rave all you want how your artwork is so technically sophisticated and amazing and professional, but in the end you are not doing it for yourself or your "pro" buddies to drool over, you are doing it for your unqualified audience, and if they say it sucks, then it sucks.
