Patch 8.6 hit NA today. How do those of you on EU for the past week feel about it at this point? I like most of the changes, still trying to see how I feel about the arty battle tier thing. Bout a dozen games and there has been some crazy matchmaking, but that may just be because a ton of people are playing arty due to the patch.
Don't know about EU, but on russian server arty completely disappeared on high tier. Very rare there are more than 2 arty per team in the game and very often only one or no arty at all.

Other than that, the accuracy changes definitely favor the derpy russian tanks. Especially the TDs with the high caliber guns appear to be borderline overpowered now.

Yep, definitely this. My arties suck now. And the movement of the tanks seem weird, especially when you get shot or take a turn. Or in the latter at least, it's the camera. It feels so spongy/ambiguous(? No idea how to say it in english). Haven't played the game at all in the last few days, probably gonna drop it =/
Yeah I had a feeling the abundance of arty was because of the post-patch interest, and it was just weird for non-arties when you're middle of the list and the top of both teams is an arty haha. Everyone will begin to feel the nerfs to their SPGs and stop playing them, from the sounds of it. I can live with that. Now I just need to get a handle on the changes they made to the SPG tech trees and such.

Not just them. T-34 and Type T-34 with 57mm ZiS and chinese equivalent are borderline op now. It was a hefty gun before, but now? 30 penetrating hits as a snipertank with a superhigh-RoF gun = win. Second match with T-34 i made 1600xp or something. Not doubled. A couple of games after that the same with the Type T-34.
I also sold my T92, finally. Actually really did hurt, but i need the money to farm up all dem derptanks with the new accuracysystem. ^^

Camerastuff didn't change afaik, maybe check for Anti Aliasing and VSync (these both cause my camera to react, uhm, with a tiny delay, if you want so - enough to make me rage).
You can especially notice it when standing and turning left/right, it's really weird. Also, smashing through walls changed as well. Feels all wobbly for some reason.

Smashing through walls is completely broken sometimes now, with my Type T-34 i get stuck on fences/lower walls (Lakeside in the east, at the cemetary) all the time, completely stopping me. With upgraded tracks an engines, going with ~35km/h into the wall, like hitting a nondestructable wall.
There was added a new camerashake or something like that iirc, do you have that active?

Hm, if it's enabled by default, then yes, I guess so.
The new camera thing (which to my knowledge can't be disabled) is one that tries to keep your reticle on the same spot for you, and negates the movements of your tank over terrain, etc. For example, if I'm fighting on top of a ridge line and I aim down a bit into the dirt, then crest the ridge to see the other side, my reticle will remain pointed at that same spot where I'm predicting an enemy to be, rather than "flop" over the hill WITH my tank. At least this is how I understood it when I saw some 8.6 previews.
In theory I liked the sound of it a lot, but it's already becoming a bit of a nuisance on bumpier terrain. It doesn't seem to be working perfectly as intended, and rather than your reticle bloom simply getting larger and smaller as it "automatically" moves for you (worsens aim slightly, just like if you moved it yourself) and then re-aims, it still jiggles around in a strange manner. Almost feels... laggy? Though I have no idea why they'd be doing this sort of thing on the server side and not client side.
I might try to find a video of someone demonstrating the difference. I wish it was an option though, not default...

First minute or so (maybe more). I remember watching this before the patch and it looked nice. However it doesn't seem to be working nearly as cleanly for me. My crosshairs never move but even over somewhat gentle terrain as in the video, my reticle dances around waaaay more. Not just the bloom from adjustment and having to re-aim like I mentioned above, but side to side and up and down. Crosshairs stable, reticle is not. It's really awkward. I wonder if it's a lag or performance related issue (even though I have no problems with either, typically).

It was something like "dynamic camera" which was enabled by the patch, I guess, which caused that. Deactivating it worked. Anyway, arties are kinda bugged, right? Hit some tanks(T5) with the new T4 German arty and it didn't do any damage. I thought I wasn't able to penetrate them but the statistics said I did. So...no clue :S

They changed the way tracks work, didn't they? They behave as spaced armor now?
Btw, anyone up to driving (/grinding) in platoon on EU, tiers from 5 to 10? A friend and i play daily, but there's the third guy missing. It would be one idiot less that could ruin the match (and yeah, i actually almost don't have any games anymore without facepalms).

I hit 3 different tanks and there: front armor, turret and the back from above. None of those hits did damage. Range was always close-middle, so not really far away.

I play several T6-7 and am not that bad but I guess I can't play too much because of work.

Strange. I remember seeing also that the audio cues were wrong in-game (like penetrating and the crew would say "bounced off", etc). But if it showed up in the score screen that's strange.
