Started playing this again. I don't quite understand why people think the leveling process is boring (outside of the fact all MMO's get stale while leveling up). I find the combat system really enjoyable, all the classes i've tried are very unique, the animations and graphics are beautiful...
My biggest issue is that the end game is so limited outside of PvP. They really need to make a strategy for a more compelling end game with proper raids (I know thats not easy with an active combat system). Still, outside of EVE which is a niche game, I think only WoW really compares to TERA for me in terms of MMO's, and i'm just burnt on that. I think it's a really enjoyable game.

It's as boring as questing/grinding gets. Talk with NPC XYZ, kill X amount of mobs/get Y items from the mobs. From level 1 to 60. Few escort quests and that's it. Yeah, guess it's the same for most of mmos, but it doesn't make it any better.
Also after the first time it gets dull. But since it's so fast, like if you did it once and/or have some friends to help you at 53+ 1 to 60 may take less than 25 hours, it's fine.
And game's biggest issues is hyper casual pvp and pve. PvP is as limited as PvE. Owpvp is dead and it was like that since p2p release. There's no reasons to kill anyone, you don't lose anything if you die, there're no spots to farm mobs/gold/bosses.
You can do 95% of lvl60 content not moving from the bank or broker, since it's all instanced (except boring and dead alliance and nexus).
It's fine, it's pretty (although it did age already, will be 4 years since korean release soon and UE3 is old as well) and it's a nice way to kill some time every now and then, but it's way too easy and limited in all aspects. I know some casual people who got geared to pretty much the best pve and almost the best pvp gear in 2 months without spending any money, I know some hardcore players who did the same in two 2 weeks. After that all you can just afk in town, since there's no point to farm dungeons (mostly BoP stuff and ridiculously low drop rates for anything useful).
This game need a challenge, a goal. Something that would make people to get best gear and yet play in "serious" mode to achieve something.
Oh yeah, level 65 patch will be the same. Grind for a few hours, get new cap, new skills. Do some braindead mode instances and one that's actually requires you to play and not just watch twitch/youtube on 2nd monitor.
I spent plenty of time in this game. During P2P, after F2P as well. It has potential, but casual market is too stronk. They can't even clear MCHM in T15 gear when it wasn't that hard in T13. And since they are majority, content is made to suit their tastes and skills.
Not playing atm and not sure if I wanna come back to 65 patch. I think I'd rather play Black Deserts on Korean servers.
