Well, Memory Adept was pretty mediocre in constructed(although completely bonkers in limited)

It's a big trump in the mirror/against monoB, as it's a 4-turns win condition you can hardly interact with. I don't remember seeing it as more than, like, a 1 or 2 of, and only in more control heavy metas.

The card by itself is good, providing a win condition and card advantage.

I would argue that Esper (UWB) is weakest right now, Black doesn't bring a whole lot to the table right now except in the control mirrors. You'll beat the UW matchup pretty much every day since you have access to Duress and Thoughtseize along with Ashiok. The problem with this deck is its mana base, it needs to be able to produce WW, UU, BB by turn 4, that's a very tall order. The ability to interact at instant speed is a boon against RGx monsters since Mistcutter and Stormbreath aren't as big as they are against the other two UW variants. Access to Obzedat (if you want to stretch your mana base even more) and Blood Baron means you have more play against mid rangey decks. The mana base really holds it back though. UWR is probably underplayed since the mana base is just as bad and the concept of the deck revolves around 2 ideas that are good separately, but terrible together. Your removal isn't as good as Black's, your inevitability though is better with Assemble the Legion (though not recently with enchantment hate). In a straight up comparison I would say that this deck COULD be tuned more, but nobody really wants to and nobody really knows how bad/good it is in the meta. Also, Keranos doesn't go in this deck as much as people think. On turn 5, you really need to do something and not durdle into the 6th turn, hope Keranos will do something. UW is the best simply because of the mana base, its consistent, lets you run Mutavault without making you feel like a dirty miser. You have all the relevant tools and all of the relevant strategies from the other decks. Your control mirrors are fair, your aggro match ups are fair. All in all, it's a well rounded deck. I would recommend Reid Duke's article on this deck recently, I agree with his assessments pretty much down the line. Jace-4 is very underwhelming in this deck.

Ramp and control played a couple of copies of Karn as a finisher when he was Standard legal
