I haven't read the article, but I'm guessing that these cinematics will be appropriate to your choices etc.

Free* DLC Pack to Provide Additional Cinematic Scenes to the Ending of Mass Effect 3 this Summer Guess we all knew it was coming.. but still I'm really excited for this, hopefully it doesn't disappoint. That's what I think too. Especially since they'll be charging for this dlc pack after april whatever.

Just my two cents on it.

Wow I didn't see that date.
That's a really arbitrary number lol.

It would be outragrious to make people pay for something that isn't even gameplay. x) If it is 10-15 minutes worth of video, why do we have to wait till summer?

Because it takes time to create these sort of videos, its not something you sit down and do overnight if you want it to be good(specialy if they need to use some voice actors again, tho i doubt it will be the case)

This makes those endings make ALOT more sense.

Gaming compagny never trully recover from things like that. Look at what WoW expansions did to Blizzard reputation. O_o Not sure if serious. For the record though, only team liquid really vilifies Blizzard, so I guess its serious. Though, I always though DA2 was the end of bioware as we new it. Then nearly a bajillion people bought ME3, and even with the controversy I'm sure everyone and their mother will keep playing SWTOR and till buy DA3 when it comes out.
I totally agree with the Dragon Age 2 part. Worst thing that I've wasted my time last year.
ME3 was what I expected though, nice characters, good and bounding side missions but cheesy, stupid and a non-creative main story. Got it all at one place. I don't think any more content will fix this. + Show Spoiler + Really guys did any of you love 'The Crucible', TEH ZUPER VEAPON EVRY RACE HaLP DEZİGN FROM START. It was so awful
I probably will play for just the heck of it, but it won't change any thing thats for sure.

Hey are we still mad if it turns out indoctrination theory is whats what? I mean I know theres was an abcence of choice but one could make an argument that the ending is the struggle to regain choice.

They keep using the term "clarify" for the new ending they are making. Which has a lot of people worried.

Not sure actually. The indoctrination theory fits so perfectly its hard to imagine that they weren't at least thinking of it at least as symbolism.
One thing is for sure, and thats people want to see the galaxy post reaper threat, at least once. That is clear, its hard to imagine Bioware never delivering.

My bet on what happens:
Bioware comes up with DLC cinematics that totally debunk the indoctrination theory and show us our crew being marooned, killed, and perhaps Shepard once again. No dialogue, just the ending times five.
And we don't even get the indoctrination theory for comfort.

It's certainly a clever move to make it free. Now the people can't really complain since they'll be branded as a special kind of whiners no matter how this free content turns out. And since it is free content, you can bet your ass Bioware and EA will try and get away with spending and doing as little as possible. The possibility of them plugging all of the plot holes and fixing the non-sensical writing was negligible to start with. I doubt they'll even address them directly now they're doing this without any immediate financial motives. They'll just give people some semi-happy cinematic (they've already said you can be reunited with your LI) and hope that appeases the crowd. I for one, will not be. I am done with Bioware and EA.

Right. As you might imagine some things simply won't be in the game.
Consider all of the voice actors. Like Martin Sheen. Martin Sheen ain't gonna come to the table for free DLC money.

They'll still pay him if they were to bring him back. Also a little faith maybe? Bioware cares about it's reputation as a company, it's in thier interest to diliever the goods.

I am gonna go by previous example though.
Look at all the ME2 DLC's. No big name voice actors were rehired. Shepard is first party.
It's even funny how they went out of there way to not include any outside of the DLC content.

I don't know, they brought back Hackett, Liara, and a whole bunch of others.
Dr. Archer was really nice as well.
Famosity is nothing! Quality is.
