+ Show Spoiler +The destroy ending seems like a particularly weak option on face value. "Click here to destroy all synthetic life including those reapers we all hate. Sooner or later some nitwit is going to recreate synthetic life and we're all back to being fuck-diddily-ucked anyway, so hope you come up with a better solution then us!". This seems fairly moronic since the Reapers are still the most technologically advanced thing in the galaxy and it seems more probable that someone will accidentally create super-death-robots as opposed to creating a better solution then the Reaper Solution.
What I hate about the Reapers is that they didn't need to be explained at all. They're Cosmic space horrors whose only motivation is to kill/consume everything. Why does it NEED a reason? You didn't ask the Darkspawn in Dragon Age why they killed everything, they just did. It was their nature.
The other problem is that there's no real explanation that would do the Reapers justice anyway. The only logical sense that a species would go through some cyclical annihilation spree is... Well there is none really. The only one that sort of fits is reproduction (Reaper-duction, giggle) seeing as Reapers consume millions to make more of themselves. Come around every now and then, destroy everything, make more Reapers, go take a very long nap and do it again! Makes perfect sense. And even then I'd rather that be a hinted at explanation rather then a set in stone explanation.
Reapers are supreme badasses. Everything about them exudes unfathomable power and motivation. I like the concept that the Reapers are simply so far advanced that you cannot begin to comprehend their purpose, motivations or methods. They simple are.
As an aside, consider this. Dinosaurs went extinct suddenly with no explanation thousands of years ago. I think we have one now.
I am amazed at the scope of the ME 3 fan backlash though. Begging to pay money to change the ending?! Absurd!
Perhaps if I give the Pope enough money Jesus lives at the end. Hmm....

Churches collect money from everyone all year round and they never changed the ending in the Bible. They have been doing that for like what? 1000 years?

Could someone please tell me which me2 dlc's affect me3 in a majorish way?
I just finished me1 and 2 (lost my old savefiles). So I figured I might as well do the important dlcs. Did shadowbroker dlc so far only.

None of them affects them in a "majorish" way, but I recommend doing Arrival and Overlord as well; simply because they are really good, and you may *cough* run into NPCs from them.

I'm pretty sure the ME2's DLC don't afftect ME3 (I haven't played them though). What they do is fill in the missing gap. For example, Liara is the shadowbroker in ME3, and you wouldn't have found out until then unless you played the DLC.

Shadow broker explains some stuff thats related to ME2 as well(Like harbinger trying to get shepards body after the first normandy is shot down) and arrival explains what happens betwen ME2 and ME3(Tho its not a great dlc...). Regardless of everything, shadow broker is good dlc which is worth looking into

You actually get nice benefits by doing Overlord if you make Paragon choices, as David opens a room for you.

Video showing all the ME3 endings at the same time(for you who did not see them all)
Also the ME ending movement almost reaching 40k is sorta insane :/

Came here to post the exact same thing . Its incredbily dissapointing how cheap and easy of an road they took with the endings. 3 Endings that can change in some minor stuff ( like your LI or something ) that vastly distingush from another would've been find and not 6 times the same crap in different colors with small changes.

Since the video shows outcomes to the game in text form I'm not going to quote is as I think it should have been spoilered, but whilst it is slightly misleading in not showing them all to the end, in it principal definately goes to show one of the big problems in the ending after all the gameplay mechanics ME fans have come to expect up to that point.

Man I am so sad...
I thought I did all the side missions because when I opened the galaxy map, there were no flashing circles before I went onto the priority missions.. but my journal still had a bunch of quests undone. I don't get it. I don't even know where to go.
I know I can google it but I mean.. in ME2, they would tell you where to go to finish the mission within the journal itself. Now, it's just... "try and find it"...
Secondly...
I romanced Ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2. I was hoping to romance Ashley and did all paragon answers with her and even gave her a book when she was in the hospital and everything but she never gave me any romance dialogue...
I ended up with no one. What the heck??? Is it a glitch.
I feel so unfulfilled because I couldn't.. literally could not finish all side quests or finish a romance before the ending....
I mean.. I much preferred it when we were able to go and talk to Ashley or another romance target while on the ship and have real dialogue rather than the passive convo which we can't control in ME3.

If you go to Spectre shop place either on the ship or the citadel, any missed quest items from anywhere you've been will be available for purchase.
Edit: And your journal if you read the quest will tell you where abouts the people are, and the map will show you even more spefically when you're in that area.

I cheated on Kaiden in ME2 with Garrus (I did die for 2 years and then when I saw him he did basically called me a Cerberus traitor and wanted nothing to do with me so screw him!) and he asked about it, I told him the truth, we got back together. Is it not the same for male Shepards?

The bunch of quests in your journal are probably Citadel quests. Basically, you have to go to random planets, scan them, and hope they give you the item the quest is looking for. Other than that, there are codes/data that are found on missions. If you miss them, they become available for purchase at the spectre terminal. (Essentially, you "pay" credits to complete the quest, lol. But it's a good backup system for when you miss items while you're on a mission.)
I was disappointed with Ashely as well. I romanced her in ME1 and then Tali in ME2. After the first hour of the game, I was impressed by how much dialogue there was between Shepard and Ashley, so I decided to go back to her. That pretty much ends after the hospital though. I feel like Tali and Liara have a lot more interaction with Shepard in this game, or maybe it's just that Ashley's is spent all in the opening hour.
I don't get how you couldn't do a romance before the ending though. Here are the leads I know off the top of my head. The only one I followed through on was Ashley's. + Show Spoiler +Ashely: You get an email from her telling you to meet her at the Presidium. If that convo goes right, the romance will happen right before the last Cerberus mission. Miranda: Happens in the Presidium Apartments, if you talk correctly. Tali: She came up to my room, and I'm assuming something would have happened...except I denied her. Diana: Just let her interview you in your cabin twice. Traynor: She asks to come up to your cabin, soo... Liara: At one point at the Presidium, there's a convo choice to decide whether you're just friends or not.

Just go to all the uncharted systems and keep scanning the space until you're at 100%, repeat for all the systems, eventually you'll have found everything, all very simple really. No need to Google it, just keep playing as normal and you'll find it before long.
Also: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Romance#Mass_Effect_3 You can romance both Ashley and Miranda. I've only played through the game once yet, and that was as FemShep, so I havn't experienced a romance with either in the third installment myself yet, but I know both are definately doable.

Nah it works for male shepard, i just turned miranda off right away when i got to meet her, when i got back to ashley later on she did give me an option to tell her that i love her. Dunno what you did wrong.
Also wondering if bedding Diana Allers count toward a real romance or not... might just be like kelly with ME2, and speaking of wich
+ Show Spoiler +How come Kelly name doesn't come up in the normady list?! I was pissed off that she got shot in the head by cerberus when they invaded the citatel, but then nothing to remember her?!
Haven't finished the game yet ( just landed in london ) trying very hard to not spoil the ending even though everyone says that past that part everything else just sucks!

well if they force to get that online pass or somethink just for the diferent ending im just gonna watch all possible endings on youtube or somethink and just choose and imagine that i got 1 of those in my game :D

I did a morning of multiplayer and got readiness to 92%, no prob. MP was kinda hard at first, but you get used to it and you get carried a little. Most importantly, it's really fun. Now I am rerunning my original Shep through ME2 again, since she had no attachments, and, wow, ME2 feels slow compared to ME3, which is funny considering how much of an improvement ME2 combat was over ME1's. My first minigame kinda annoyed me, but at the same time, it's been long enough that it's refreshing.
I've also gotten so used to the new FemShep imported face that it's weird seeing the old one, even though I didn't like ME3's carry over at first. It would be really nice to change Shepard's name or for me to find some way to discern them besides the date of creation.
