There are ~7k concurrent players at peak. However, PS2 will never reach the popularity of other FPS games like CS:GO because it's inherently harsh on new players since there is no match making to protect you from the guys that already played 2000 hours and stomp you in every engagement. The first few days or weeks consist of repeatedly dying to players that know how to use their weapons, how to move and use the cover, which routes to take in the bases, how to look for anti-personal mines, how to avoid snipers, etc., which is not something a lot of players can deal with. It's like starting to play SC2 for the first time and getting matched up with Platinum to Grandmaster players in every matche. Eventually you might defeat them, but until then you get trashed again and again. That is why it's so important to find an outfit or public platoon to run with. You can just follow your outfit mates and learn as you go along and if you die, you'll get revived seconds later rather than having to do the whole respawning, navigating bases and finding battles thing.

It was changed a lot but it was never at a point where it was the best gun, just the most fun. Recently it was buffed again to make it competitive.

The problem with the game is that anyone who says it isn't pay to win are liars. ESFs and libs are the biggest offenders here. A new ESF can be one shot by a single anti-air missile, or a lib taken down by 3-4 well placed rockets. A fully certed air vehicle has so much damage reduction and auto-repair that it can't be shot down by a single player with infinite ammo, and can one shot you from behind cover. Meanwhile the starting guns are all awful, but fortunately you can get a shotgun or a medium-range lmg pretty fast, but this only lets you play a couple classes effectively. each class takes about a week to unlock their best weapon, or about a month to fully cert out. Each vehicle can take over a year to cert out, and of course, certs are bought with money. Even when you get past the pay to win part, by playing enough to 'earn' decent loadouts for each class (medic guns, sniper rifles, a few levels of armor), you run right into the shitty netcode, which allows your enemies to shoot where you were in the past, allowing such stupidity as both players being able to shoot each other in the back simultaneously, it being completely impossible to dodge where the enemy is aiming, dying when you're completely behind cover, and the way it favors the aggressor by allowing him to shoot you and kill you even before he is rendered on your screen. But I'll be damned if it isn't a lot of fun, I am in a pretty good + large outfit and can lead a squad or platoon whenever I want, and the rest of the time I can take my C4 and try and sneak up on the tanks and blow them up single handedly :3 mmmmm best feeling ever. You don't need to pay to get cert points + stop the lib QQ, jesus

The rush the game can give you at times is really what keeps you playing, even if the game has it's flaws and bugs. There is no better feeling than working together with 47 other people and having plans come together. It gets even more interesting if you get into the leadership side and even just listen in on command chat where the platoon leaders discuss the bigger strategy. However, then there is the feeling of giving it all and losing because your allies just didn't put in their weight and leaving you outnumbered again and again, which really, really sucks. Also, I should probably have prepared you for Zukhovs shouting. He loves to do it and that's what he's famous for, but it's not for the faint of heart. He's never angry, even if he sometimes sounds like it, he's just excited

It's a 1000 cert mid-range burst-fire gun for the faction that has the Cycler as their medic stock weapon. The few people who bother dumping points or smedlybucks into that thing love it to death, and tell everyone they love it to death.

It's the best long range medic weapon in the game hands down. It made me try out other burst weapons - until I found out that the other burst weapons are not really that good due to their high first shot recoil multiplier. Much more highly populated When PS2 was released, most TL players formed up on Mattherson since US East had a decent connection to EU and US West and so was better for the global community, so to my knowledge there was no organized group of TL players on Connery. There might be a few TL players there though.

what they used to be (I blame my age though). Also I have to recommend the squad leaders, you certainly know what you are doing and I already witnessed some epic stuff like hotdrops and blowing up tanklines from behind. Will stay at least for a while.

You can message me ingame on Miller (Morfildur) and I'll send you an invite. Streaming is fine. However, from your quote: sorry for not being a politically correct poster child & 4K shit If you teabag, flame, rage or make any sort of remarks we don't like, you're out again. We don't accept any BS or drama since, well, as they say, we're too old for that shit. My tolerance for BS is exactly as long as it takes me to find the "remove from outfit" button.

We basically don't like friendly snipers because due to medics, snipers are simply a completely useless waste of platoon space (Infiltrators are important though), but noone should say anything bad to you for that. If someone did, PM me a name and a short run down of what happened and I'll deal with that person so it doesn't happen again.
