Did any of you tried it ? Any feedback ? Here's my opinion on it after playing the beta. It sucks. The game itself is simply tooo grindy. Since most of the food is renewable, there is no way you can die. The only way to advance your game, however, is through grinding and feeding stuff through the science machine. On a different note, I am SOOOOO TEMPTED on the Tomb Raider. If I buy it, however, it would be the third RPG game I've bought on Steam, sharing the shelf with Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed in the it-was-on-sale-so-I-bought-it-but-I-have-never-played-it-more-than-2-hours category. EDIT: http://store.steampowered.com/app/229790/ HoMM6 expansion is out. I think I'll probably wait until it goes on sale, though.

Since most of the food is renewable, there is no way you can die. The only way to advance your game, however, is through grinding and feeding stuff through the science machine. The game has changed a lot since the beta, the feeding the science machine mechanic was out after a month or so I think. Also they added winter, perishable food, berry bushes won't regrow if you plant them unless you fertilize, stove mechanics are better, hunters in the winter(miniboss like mobs), rain, bosses, etc. Probably the best thing is Adventure mode that has world progression, you can choose when to leave the current world and the next one has perks that make it more difficult to survive, one might think this is easy if you have a good setup in your first world but they only let you take a backpack and chester. There is a clear chance that you will die in winter if you are not properly equipped and if you let the spider dens grow too much you get a problem of multiple queens which is terrible. The Deerclops can destroy your camp with no provocation, periodical wolve attacks every midnight that get harder every time, forest guardians popping up out of nowhere. The game is much better now but you can probably get it through a trade cheaper than the $15 price tag though.

Tomb Raider definitely isn't an RPG. Borderlands 2 is $10 as a daily deal at GamersGate. As with other GamersGate items, I can get you an extra discount on them.

Everything is mixing up, no reason to be elitist.

Tomb Raider is not an RPG not even close. If you think it is and apply the same standards to other games - every game that has a playable charakter is an RPG.
