On the other hand to make the potion flasks into items was a stroke of genius and I just found a temporary solution on the skill tree for the lack of intelligence I experience atm. There is a pretty good way: Choose what items you pick up based on number and links of sockets. Do not pick up the items you want to use based on rarity. You can always change the colours with a few stacks of chromatic orbs or the rarity with basically the rest of the orbs!

I have to agree. The gameplay part is lacking, especially something as simple as ease of clicking monsters is much worse than D3. D3 nailed the A and failed the RPG part, PoE does the RPG part well and lacks on the A.

That's a bit rude knowing it's the very early stage of a BETA compared to a game that took eternity to be released from one of the biggest dev company in the world. And they still did not that good. But I understand your feeling, it lacks some polishing in mvt/ enemy selection etc...

Let's see it took blizzard 10 years to make that piece of shit vs. a team of 14 guys who didn't even have any fuckin money to make this. Not to mention these "gameplay issues" are nowhere near as bad as people make them out to be. Aside from the very few skills that are known to cause desync issues.

The only downside is that I am scared of grouping with random people in HC. Lets just say that my grouping experiences with randoms back in closed beta were bad and now you have way more people playing so the chances of bad things are much much higher.

That said, PoE could improve a lot. I feel like using smaller boxes for mobs that are far away, but bigger boxes for mobs in melee would help. You can quickly click away to move out of a fight without accidentally targeting a mob, but you don't have as much trouble targeting the snakes and little craps like that in melee.I have to agree. D3 nailed the A and failed the RPG part, PoE does the RPG part well and lacks on the A. They also have a lot of improvement for skill gems in the work. For now, they'll simply be adding more skills. But there were a couple suggestions during CB that will make gems and maps just so much better. My favorite for skill gems is to have you choose 2-3 improvements as you level the gem. For example, Lightning Arrow could get either a small shock chance or hit one more target at level 8, and either a pierce chance or additional lightning damage at level 14. This would add some more customization to the gem and would encourage you to actually level gems. As for maps, suggestions included having maps made for groups, with puzzles solved as teams (nothing too complex, but having to split your group in two involves a lot more strategy), and smaller maps with multiple levels that get progressively harder, and after each level you get the choice of claiming a reward or keep going. If you portal out before finishing a level, you lose the additional reward, so you have to think carefully. I don't know if we'll see that kind of system in a matter of months or years, but it will get that much more awesome.

Even at range it's not ideal, which is why clicking on the mob is so much better. It tells the server you aim at the mob, wherever he is.If you are having trouble targeting hold shift so your character doesn't run around instead of attacking. The only time this doesn't work great is when you are a necromancer but at that point it is hard to do anything besides keep spawning minions.

You can still aim when you shift click you just wont walk around if you don't hit exactly on or otherwise fail to attack entirely. If you still miss while holding shift then you are having some terrible mouse control or lag (Or just missing because it is something that happens).

They have a very good record of listening to the players and taking suggestions. With that being said the only problems i've encountered so far is lag(teleporting back), I crashed for the 1st time earlier today and I sometimes randomly see some patches of just black on the floor
