Pretty much solely for the flameblast exile, Igna isn't really an issue because when i'm playing flameblast i'm never close enough to get RF'd and as long as you arent in a tunnel you can circle strafe her.

Carto's are broken... 18 maps from 1 box, seems balanced right? +8 items mirrored, no +lvl but it was in a 73 so still pretty good value.
Also Evo, raging spirits are awful in higher level content.... I did a cells, fleet monster dmg phys resist magic monster, hardly the most difficult combo. As for mob types, they were better than average, only aoe was freeze pulse/discharge.
Anyways, animate weapon might as well not even have been summoned, they got vaporized nearly instantly just from regular monster damage, non-snapped zombies were getting mauled pretty badly too. Raging spirits did 'ok', but aura support was fairly non-existant as I had to hide without anything to tank hits for me.
Compared to my snapping summoner, my self cast Arc, or any number of other characters I have, it severely underperformed, It took 4-5 times as long to clear as a regular build would have. This is with all lvl 18 gems btw. I may try and buy a +1 curse ring and run enfeeble with my EW, but i have my doubts about how effective this will be.

srs/animate weapons build is super fast in clear speed for a small budget build. i did mid70 maps with no problems and this was before the srs buff. (source: lvl86 invasion srs/weapon summoner). the weapons are so powerful once u get a sizable army (like>20) up that they already destroyed a blue mob before i barely churn out a few spirits.
one needs to learn that the minions are expendable and you need to be a lot more active in summoning weapons/spirits plus cursing/fleshoffering, compared to regular summoner play (which u can be super passive thanks to dirty snapshot).
a srs build has beaten atziri already so its not a matter of it being weak, just your playstyle and build need to be optimised you need to do lots of kiting and have distraction spells (skele totem etc).
unfortunately this build does not have the best survivability and is weak to strong aoe boss but thats about it. the only option is to just try to overwhelm the boss early on with 30 weapons/vaal skele before they get killed off. if u don't like having nothing to tank for u, u might as well play a typical zombie necroaegis summoner.

Not saying it doesn't do damage, because it does. And animate weapon can snowball, I'm saying that if you get say fire alchemists on a map, it takes forever to clear with the constant casting of minions.
I don't expect my minions to live forever, but I'd like to clear certain blue packs quicker. And I'm sure the atziri kill was in softcore, far as I'm concerned that means nothing.. You can run immortal call with 6 link spirits and flask nodes and be fine, doesn't mean it does the job as good as other builds.
All I am saying, is that compared to the other builds I have done. Summoner spark ek discharge spectral cyclone double strike trapper ele split physical split roa lightning arrow. Its slowet. To me it has holes. And those holes happen to be any mob that casts aoe slows you down immensely.
I'm anxiously awaiting to see how it does vs nemesis mods. Because I get the feeling storm Herald is going to make my life miserable.

Cause I think running MS/Melee Dmg scaled with Hatred should outperform that, especially since I can apply EE much easier than you can.

It's not about the damage output, it's about how quickly the minions die before doing any damage. The damage is fine, with wrath anger grace or even just anger grace, the damage is good enough. When a splitting alchemist or a carrion queen kills everything in 2 hits its a problem. Solutiona are to either take the minion life nodes, or run purity instead of a damage aura probably.
If I were to run like, a necropolis map with added damage mod, I think it would take forever to clear.

yeah with the dmg buff hatred is better than anger/wrath, i would use hatred/wrath now. before the damage buff the hatred was slightly behind in terms of damage, now its better.
the point is that the minions are expendable, they are not suppose to be sustained like typical zombie/spectre summoners.
yeah the build is bad ONLY if u start getting tons of aoe mobs/boss. either u avoid them or u just go for zombie build if u are too used to zombie tanking for u, is that hard to get to your head.
with some bit of kiting and dodging even with zero purity/aegis i can use srs to kill say blue titties/voidbearers very easily, even if those mobs mow down the weapons fast.
other than that it can clear super fast for a budget build, dont forget things like enfeeble and tempchains dont affect minions whereas your selfcasted arc/whatever will be affected.
no point halfassing aegis/purity for srs build, u might as well do standard zombie/spectre build would be more efficient for that. i really don't like people dissing srs builds just cause they are too used to their derp snapshot summoner with their insane hp zombies tanking everything for them and they can just sit behind fapping. and snapshot is going soon, so learn to deal with it.

Uh no need to deal with it, I've played a solo selffound summoner with great success without any snapshot. My strongest build so far. All you really need is a 4L helmet with +2 minions and your zombies are tanky as hell. Add Evangelists who bring lots of damage and some survivability and you can semi afk most maps (except for some bosses).
Best thing is like you said summoners don't care about map mods, you don't really need to reroll maps (though multiple dmg mods are gonna be dangerous). I played a CI summoner so all that really killed me was Bloodmagic, which shows on maybe every 100th map.
I really hate to roll GMP on maps btw, it wouldn't even be that bad but since like in every 2nd map there are Avian retches... no go.

Hey guys, I haven't read through much of the thread so I've missed a lot of stuff, but is there a TL guild in poe? I used to play hardcore with my friends but now they all pretty much stopped so I'm looking for some new people to play/hang out with. if flickr works with multistrike you should have zero problems with physical reflect
but have the same problem. my people stopped, waiting for new league so i just try to get this tripple elemental aura build working with a shadow. survivability stays a problem. 2 ripped, damage was as expected. will try to add 7 endurance charges in to the build + arctic armor. or maybe just arctic armor will be enough. will find out this time.

Phys reflect is just a cheap lie, I got rekt by a substantial phys damage pack near an exile cause I wasn't paying attention Many fun ways to die with multistrike flicker though
If I actually get around to grouping I'll probably play something else tho ^^
