I stopped playing a while ago, because I didn't like Invasion. Today I decided to give a try to the Beyond league. So I started Shadow with the idea of making basic viper strike build. Well... I died in one of the armorer caves to a beyond rare that had 80% slow aura or something like that. Actually I think that the beyond packs and the master quests are screwing up the pacing of the game. For the most part I was over-leveled and face tanked the most of the regular stuff like Brutus, the ledge totem etc. It looks fun, but still too much RNG and there is a chance you can get 100% screwed.

Some things you wanna skip (and can do so fine for the most part), some things you just kill but it's alright overall while making the game harder.
Masters are an immense buff to non-super rich people (aka most of us) AND a buff to people who really want to grind them. Also Sims Wraeclast. What I'm most in love with in 1.2 is that I think life and ES are in a really, really awesome place where they should have been since a while (one has insane buffer, the other insane regen via flasks). <3

Oh man yeah my hallowed saturated gives about 5k life thanks to the life flasks nodes and its not even quality. Hell my character has about 2.4k and my bubbling heals me for most of my life just on the instant part. I love how awesome life flasks are now.

I started a GS Marauder on Beyond now (going to go with stunlock/knockback and EC on melee stun+IC combo). After the troubles I had with my last char I begin to understand the spawns. And somehow I find this way more fun than Rampage. Rampage is buffbaff and nothing really happens. In Beyond all of a sudden extra monsters to kill appear in your splattering. It feels awesome although I have the feeling I will die to the spawns at one point, haha.^^

So how is this patch? The last one was so annoying that I stopped playing. What do you guys like/dislike about this one?

Cast on Critical strike was nerfed quite a lot — my CoC build was nerfed quite a lot in particular it seems. Seemingly has less ES, less block, less spell/elemental damage, and less crit and multiplier (split up between spell and weapon damage mostly).
Ice spear was oddly buffed quite a lot (just like arctic breath a while before), although it makes sense to balance it more with arctic breath. Not sure why they removed Vaal items from being in spell trigger supports.
I'm really glad they removed/fix snapshotting. In my opinion it ruined the game.
I shouldn't be upset, but I'm a bit upset CoC got nerfed, but it did really need it since it was pretty ridiculous before.

Capped resists and around 1k life should make it fairly trivial.

Normal with Capped resists? o.o I'm not sure I've done that without a goldrim twink lol.
Dom fight is pretty easy in normal as ranged or if u play intelligently though. Don't get slammed, don't eat lightning spray, and tp aggressively to stay safe on the last stage imo.
Does anybody else find the masters quests really really... strangely balanced?
Like my dailys are level 40-50 zones when my character is level 70. Then when I find them in maps depending on the master its either "I could do this in my sleep" (catarina, tora, elreon, any assassin one that lets me kill the guards) or "lol if there were 8 of us and we were all 95 this MIGHT be doable" (weaponmaster dude, some of the timed haku runs, assassin ones where I have to only kill the target in the middle of 900 mobs with stun mechanics).
Like the difficulty is virtually never "wow that felt like normal content but just a tad more challenging like a master quest should be" but rather always either "time sink" or "lol yeah right fuck urself"

Capping resists in normal is trivial as long as you're finding gear with resists and using it. I think I had 110+ to all resists back in normal although I was using a shield. Dominus is one of the few boss fights that has all three elements in the same phase as normally you can just rotate rings and cap what you need.
The daily quest levels are based on what level your master is currently.

Okay but even outside of dailies it's really poorly tuned.
Also I've mapped for like 7 levels now I think and still yet to find a fucking zana :/ cmon
