Why is this? Shouldn't they also be of high item level so that you can roll them to have good affixes? Can anyone help? Because there's another way of farming if you have the patience, and that is alc-ing rings /amulet /belt and hope that in the hundreds of them, a few might be worth exalts, and some will worth a few chaos in addition. Choosing high implicit base means you don't need blessed orbs in addition to make those 3-5c rings look decent. Drawback is ofc that you need spare chaos in the first place, and patience to sell those ok-ish ones, since the big ticket alc may never comes at all.
And yes, iLvl is important when you are alching things since top tier mods only roll on high iLvl items.

So if I'm at normal act 2, I should just vendor all of those rings, even with high implicits?

I personally wouldn't bother with them. Then again I rarely self-craft or wheel-and-deal. Only when it's completely necessary. Like the Searing Touch I got yesterday for a steal, ez life.

absolutely. ilvl means everything when alching jewelry especially.

Although is it worth saving sapphire rings of any level, since they can be chanced into a dream fragments?

This one is tough due to the extremely random map RNG. The easiest way to have a good pool is willing invest to buy a big pool of a certain tier (73, 74, 75, 76 which ever you like), then roll from there. If you really don't want to buy map then ofc normal progression is fine, often you can move up if you have 8-12 map of that tier. Though if you're lucky, it will be a smooth and quick slope up. If you're unlucky, like 80% of ppl out there, you will seem to stuck in the low 70s forever Ofc nothing stays forever, but it would take very long. I would consider myself lucky last league in map luck and still took 1 lvl 82, 1 lvl 84, 1 lvl 91 to reach that mythical 77-78 pool w/o buying map at all. Don't think you have that many maps to move up tbh. Hypothetically speaking a dried-streak which is not so unlikely will wipe the 69 tier since there are only 6. Thx for the advice guys. I actually just found a carto box and zana in a map so I have 12 69 and even more of the lower tiers now haha. Looks like im running 69's for a while now.

lv70 maps on ramp is only an alch each. Buying 10 isnt too bad of an investment.
I do feel the oos has gotten worse lately. Freezes and knockbacks then to create this one annoying "misplaced' mob time to time...
|
Can't say Desync got worse for me, although I'm playing a char that doesn't get much desync either way. If you play Flameblast, you see a lot of desync. Same for any CI build (without Chayula) and ofc for the natural desyncers like Flickerstrike, Cyclone and all other movement skills.
But what bothers me a lot is Strongboxes. They have never made my FPS drop so low as they do right now. I had one with an exile and lots of spawns, which happened to drop my FPS to 0 for like 2 seconds. I only survived because I used lightning warp before.
|
Strongboxes are the worst right now. Even with a high end PC you will lag a few frames. I've debated leaving all strongbox with 'freeze on activate' even with proper pots to break it because I've had so many close calls due to frame lag when they open.

Option 1: Run your highest maps, hope for the best, and use Zana dailies to supplement your map pool, its not too hard to get her to lvl 6 and start getting 71-74 drops from the dailies. Start alching around 71 to get higher quantity. Option 2: Buy ~10 76 maps for an ex or so. That should be more than enough to keep you stable in the 74-76 range.
I regret self founding my maps. Should have just dropped an exa to buy some 74s and skip all the hassle.

The amount of mobs that are on your screen, but not actually on your screen has increased substantially I think. If you aren't shift attacking then you'll cause yourself even more desync because the game will go chase them off screen.

I'd suggest trying to chance more expensive uniques like Shav or Pledge of Hands personally.

3rd client-crash RIP in two days in my group. This time it hit me. Really sucks. And sucks my motivation out. Grrr. Well I guess more time for ArcheAge ... Don't watch if you don't have strong nerves(sadly no sound cause was watchin WCS): + Show Spoiler +

As far as I know the chance to get a unique by chancing is the same for each unique. So it is better to chance expensive uniques instead of lowish ones. Dream Fragments is only like 1-2ex compared to 15-30ex of other uniques.

Hm, ST seems kinda lackluster for me at that level, both in dmg and because you can easily dodge it.

Same experience here. I have often have mobs on my screen that aren't really there. Like every group.

Unless they changed it, the chance to chance a unique (lol) isn't the same for every unique. It depends on the rarity tier. A common unique is easier to chance than a uncommon one and a rare one.

I guess what he's saying is, save it for the items where you can only chance one type of unique? Like Kaom's?
|
He's saying save your Chance Orbs for the Uniques that are ridiculously expensive. Kaom's, Mjolner, Shavs, whatever is the most expensive unique(s) save those bases and chance them.

For Shavronne u can get either Infernal Mantle or Shavronne, but it doesn't matter really. GGG said that and I believe it. The maker of Infernal Mantle got flamed heavily for that it has the same base type (which the maker didn't even want, but GGG still made it so). But GGG defended him by saying it doesn't reduce the chance. Anyway, Infernal Mantle is less rare and will get chanced succesfully much more often, so people get mad at it. :D

If I plan on running 2 curses for flame totems, which 2 should I be running? Ele Weakness + Flammability? or Ele Weakness + Proj Weakness?
|
Most definitely Elemental Weakness + Flammability. Reducing resistances is OP. Plus knockback isnt really good on Flame Totem as you want the enemies to stay close to it because of the shotgunning.
|
does flame totem scale better into maps than searing bond? I wonder how different the skill trees would look. I'm a dual searing bond build atm with searing touch and it's kinda boring. I'm only lv70 and searing is ~6,000 dps on tool tip. I have EE and Flammability to boost damage.
or are there any feasible minor re-rolls I can do without having to level a brand new character?
