Yeah 5% block makes a big difference, assuming you get a 40% block perandus, you'll end up with 40% + 10% tree + 8% gear+ auras for 58% chance to block total. After this patch sword/shield builds will only have about 48% block. Plus there was also the buff to Reduced Block Chance support gem. | ||

it's very simple, give melee a defensive advantage to make up for being up close. don't nerf them along with ranged.. | ||

Oh and yeah Flameblast league like usual. Both Flameblast and Arc might be even stronger than before. Looks like Witch and Shadow cast speed nodes will go down to 3%, which makes Templar have better cast speed nodes (for whatever reason). Where's a melee buff? In fact, nerfing Lightning Coil should make survivability go down even more. Fail... I had hope the patch would have some interesting lines like "Shock Nova had its damage increased by 100%" which make old useless skills worth trying. The last big patch did that for a lot of skills. | ||

IMO melee should just have more dmg. Not more defense, that doesnt make sense to me. It shuold be a constant risk vs safety. Ranged stuff (meaning all offensive stuff you can perform without being in direct danger or contact) should have significantly less dmg than melee stuff where you put yourself in danger. | ||
