And I still sell Agate+Leather Belts, I got like 7-8 ex already from just selling those. Unfortunate that I started selling them a bit late. I did try chancing a Prophecy Wand tho, all I can say, RIP 300 chances. BTW good news, I managed to stack 3K alterations and 100 regals, I'm gonna craft the shit out of that Ambusher. Void Battery is just a myth. It doesn't really exist.

I was about a year into the game, and I'd gotten my second friend to start about a month ago. He was building some sort of crit arc build at the time, so to be nice my rich friend gave him a void battery (I got one too, what a bro). My second friend played with it for a couple hours and proceeded to vendor it because he thought it was trash. Turns out his "crit" arc build was horrible, had no crit/ power charges, so void battery felt worse than the crap wand he was using at the time. RIP. On the other hand, my void battery was the foundation of basically all my in game wealth. At that point I had a couple exalts and a fistful of chaos, but after realizing that I'd never be able to use a Void Battery properly without a ton of expensive gear, I sold it.

This is why I always specifically tell my noob friends when I lend them gear - do not chaos/exalt/fusing/jeweller/vendor this. You may apply chromatics only if it's not already triple offcolor. On another note, I'm thinking about going Righteous Fire / Fire Trap for the next league. Is this crazy? It seems like most RF builds just level with tons of HP/regen, so I'll just go BM Fire Trap for that. Once I get RotP and can actually turn RF on, Fire Trap should be hitting like a truck with the "more" spell damage modifier. Or is that not good? Will I be able to get tankier and deal more damage without all the regen nodes for RF?

It seems a little awkward to me as well, RF seems to be best when you're constantly doing damage rather than throwing out traps every couple seconds.

I've been theorycrafting on this concept quite a bit myself, as of right now im split between this and another build for next league. First of all you need quite a bit of regen to sustain RF, so if you want to forego regen nodes you'll need high level PoF and Vitality. Also if you run only two auras you probably don't have to use blood magic in fire trap (this also means you won't have to link every single utility skill to blood magic), since you actually have some good mana nodes that RF builds already get/are close to (templar start hp/mana regen nodes, righteous decree, unrelenting, shaper). And while you won't be running clarity, Fire Trap isn't the most "spammy" spell, so it should be fine, although some mana+mana reg on jewellery may be needed.

The question is, how much %increased damage is needed to hit this break-even point where spending points to sustain RF ends up giving more damage than just spending those points on additional %spelldmg?

The implicit and 5 of the affixes aren't anything special, sure. So obviously "Gain an Endurance Charge when a Power Charge expires or is consumed" is what sets it apart. The obvious use with Discharge has been mentioned already. But the amulet basically gives any build a way to generate endurance charges without additional actions required. (If you don't already generate power charges, you can use Romira's Banquet.) Always having endurance charges can also be useful for having a bit more tankiness, or having a nice long duration immortal call whenever necessary without having to go through the hassle of self-casting enduring cry. Very nice for physical reflect. If the thing didn't take the valuable amulet slot, I'd probably use it all the time. On March 04 2015 22:50 Invoker wrote: >DISCHARGE >hell no i hate those guys in parties Discharge is actually pretty strange, performance-wise, for me. Running cyclone-coc-discharge, and partying with the usual dischargers is fine. But when I tried ground slam-coc-discharge, my framerate stuttered like crazy.

You can get life regen AND mana nodes/regen on tree and use cloak of defiance with phoenix shield and AA That's what I did for bloodlines a few months back. At lvl 18 with some yellow sceptre fire trap had 4k tooltip which is pretty good for non crit prolif skill tree poebuilder Best part is that the main link shares the same color slots as incinerate so you can switch to those (and with a few passive tree point respec) to do atziri easy.

Dunno if the tree would work well anymore though... Tree I threw together in about 5 minutes (def not optimized). Pretty low ES, depending on freezing or killing shit before it hits me to survive.

Game has too much love or favoritism for fire/ignite prolif these days (thanks Chris)

Shock was nerfed incredibly hard, now it does 50% compared to 90%/120%. And then you gotta hit them again. Freeze was ever really competitive-- the idea of freezing and slowing enemies so they can't do damage or do less is cool, but simply isn't good as outright killing them. And honestly, who cares about shattering corpses-- if you're killing shit fast enough through another method, it's rarely going to be trouble to blast them to death again. Having an occasional freeze or something is just bonus these days. A great suggestion I read was to make it so burn tapers off and does gradually less damage as time passes. Have a formula where increasing initial hit damage or duration has diminishing returns as well.

1) necro cannot raise corpses 2) strongbox cannot revive corpse 3) those stupid birds have nothing to feed on and won't run helter skelter 4) if I'm not wrong necrovigil (bloodline mod) won't trigger 5) won't lag up fracture maps with tons of dead bodies You can do the same with devouring totem/dd but who takes the trouble to spare gem slots for that But yeah I think we will see a burn prolif change next season sadly

Not having the birds run around is a nice QoL thing. For fracture maps, I usually just bring a Vaal DD (50/50 chance of crashing my computer...) or a Devouring Totem.

I also don't understand the nerf on Flameblast, it was never about damage. It was the burn prolif that made it OpieOP, they just nerfed the damage and burn prolif stays the same. LOL. Shattering monsters is especially good in Acton's Nightmare.

RIP 500 Alts and bunch of other shit but #WorthIt. It might not be really good for Perma league players since you got those unnerfed Hybrid crafts Kappa, but in a temp league this is like GG. Actually someone already offered like 24EX for it. YAAAY, time to find myself a build now. User was warned for this post

edit: Probemicro, just saw your tree for RF fire trap. Damn that's sexy. What order did you path through the tree? Seems like you would want to get EB somewhat earlier? Or did you respec at some point? edit2: No Holy Fire? Was the 4k trap tooltip with or without RF on?
