WTF Driving is one of the most funs I had in this game during co-op
Have really bad driving skills. Fellow mate jumps into turret of same car. Crash three times and accidentally drive off a cliff within a minute while laughing maniacally as said mate rages.
Said mate jumps vehicle the second time, drives own car, doesnt do much better
This semiauto AR is by far the best I've found, pound-for-level. I've outgrown it now, but back in the day it was beyond ridiculous. In terms of per-bullet damage, it wasn't until the 30s that I started finding other ARs that even came close. Bear in mind my violet snipers were posting about 790 at this point in the game.
I almost sold the thing, assuming its damage was so high that it had to be one of those dumb guns with massive numbers because they shot grenades or some crap. Twenty seconds and two super badass goliaths later, no, it really just did do that much damage. I still don't know what the red text did.
By far the best thing about it was the ammo efficiency. With a maxed SDU and all Zero's damage/crit boosters it really just felt like cheating. All my buddies would be complaining about how they'd run out of ammo on three gun types, and i'd be just rolling along happily 3-shotting badasses with 700 rounds still left in my pack. Every now and then I'd spam the full clip into a mini-boss and feel guilty for using half my sniper ammo on one target, and then realise it didn't matter at all because it wasn't a sniper. Pretty fun.
I imagine the red text is a straight up damage buff resulting in the weapon's sniper level damage per hit. I had one at 26, it was my first orange, that lasted me well into the 30's for similar damage-to-ammo reasons. Power-to-level wise I haven't seen anything close to that level 27 sniper people were linking a couple pages ago. Hail the power of e-tech...BL2s randomized-D3-rare-philosophy-style pearlescent it would seem.
Slightly sad that aside from perhaps a narrow niche usage even the best gun tends to be upgraded (or in need of upgrade at least) by the time just five levels have gone by.

does nothing for me. would be nice since my gold key was wasted. accidently used, shortly after pc down. key is gone, eq from chest gone too <.<
You are better of this way. Gave myself a few keys because i was pissed that i wasted mine, not knowing what i was doing. Now, i have some awesome gear (i'm level 30) and the game is soooo boring. i never die, i one-shot everything. even the super badass stuff becomes waaaay to easy. i killed + Show Spoiler +
the bunker
with 3 crits... I changed back to my old gear now and now it's fun to play again and it's somewhat challenging again

What the fuck dude, grats, that weapon is insane. Orange quality indeed. I once had a (lvl 26?) blue sniper rifle with about 800 dmg and 8 fire rate. Good ammo too and it hit very good. I could imagine that thing would have been really nice with ammo regeneration, but i had none so i only used it for a while (insane burst damage).
I'm usually not a big fan of SMGs, I'm on my second playthrough and actually hadn't used them at all. Then I got Moxxi's Good Touch... and damn, that gun is just purely amazing. It's super accurate and does a lot of damage, right now I just breeze through everything just doing run and gun style.
This is the only singleplayer game I was able to keep playing since Oblivion. Getting used to the odd sense of humor takes some time, but man, the musics are fucking brilliant. Currently level 10, playing stealth dude as a sniper.
So far i haven't nearly finished the 5th round of Hyperion arena, i'm almost lvl 35 ... i failed like 8 times already -.- On my best try i did it to the 3rd wave. And there i had only ammo left on 2 weapons T_T Slowly it gets annoying, guess i'm just bad. Perhaps i should do it later, my story quest is only lvl 30 atm.
@ Kyhol: Found 4, bought 1... i thought it's normal but you're not alone complaining ^^

When you drop down into the arena and look to the right side you should see some sort of construction vehicle that's standing close to the arena wall. You can hide behind that vehicle and peek outside to take a few shots. Most enemies won't be able to reach you there. EXP Loaders usually explode out of your reach... though sometimes you can get unlucky. I can post a screenshot when I get home if you can't find it.
Well, that's what i have tried as well. Need to be more careful i believe. Other than that i'll try to respec because i think i can make a better spec than i have now.
Like the old moxxi's arenas I think it's easier to do with a friend. Gives you chance for reviving, and possible stuff like ammo regen and at least another class skill to buffer.

Personally, I found that a lot of the better weapons were SMGs. They generally have decent damage and amazing accuracy, and a good elemental SMG does wonders. Since it shoots so fast, you can build up multiple instances of dot damage, which gets ridiculous. SMGs, sniper rifles, and shotguns are just leagues above the vast majority of pistols, assault rifles, and launchers, IMO.

1. How much driving is there? I really don't enjoy that element of the game, and am hoping to transition into primarily fast traveling.
2. Is there any endgame? It was horrible/non-existent in BL1, and I'm worried about having nothing to do save bad DLC at max level. Any endless dungeon-mode or something that has a scaling challenge with actual loot?
1. There isn't much driving and almost no missions that require it. The cars feel a lot better than they do in bl1 though.
2. There is still a playthough 2.5 or 2+, where every sidequest(that you haven't accepted), enemy, and area scales to your level after finishing the story. It also feels like the game is fun enough and worth it to continually make new characters for more badass ranks.
this is a great game but tbh the end game is bad...
The first and main reason for me is because it's ridiculously easy to dupe items abusing the saving system. And a loot-based game without economy will be plagued.
The second reason is the item balance. Some legendaries are absurdly overpowered. With them you can solo bosses so easily it's not even fun.
And if you want to get theses items be ready for a big grind.
That being said, you can still do lvl 50 playthrough 2.5 runs and have a ton of fun with friends... but don't expect an end game as rich as diablo 3 or Wow, you will be greatly disappointed
Wow this site has a sick limited time sale for borderlands 2 for $24.99 right now. Great deal for anyone who has missed out so far. Too late for me as I already got it for $36 at greenman, which itself was a great deal. Hmmm not sure of reliability of site after further research. Use at your own risk.

Has anyone bought stuff from this site before? Good deal but I don't know if it should be trusted, plus if you look at their other new games they're also steeply discounted and I don't know how they could do that.

Sorry, I've never used that site before and just saw it posted somewhere else. It just gives you a steam key, so can't really be that unsafe I think.

Looking at other sites they seem to think its legit, they require SMS verification which is weird but the steam codes work. Apparently they buy cheap russian hard copies of the games and send you a picture of the game codes lol. This is great cause I figured I wouldn't get BL2 for awhile since it would be at full price. Ofc between this and NBA 2k13 (big basketball fan) I'm spending like $50 dollars on games anyway but still...
