Playing through the story first time was fun but after that I had to force me to play. The New Game+ Mode is like a job. Mods do insane Damage and you already know the Story/Quests. My Assault is now Level48, but it really not that much fun. I can't see myself farming Raidbosses at Maxlevel.
The Pre-Release PR was just too good. That made me buy it at Release.
I strongly disagree with the (price / hrs) = value equation when talking about games, especially when comparing across genres. That aside, for anyone like you who was disappointed with the first DLC(s), you might as well wait until the first expansion-pack-sized DLC comes out -- presumably tied to the level cap increase next year. The devs definitely overhyped and overpromised, but the game is still very fun to me, even if I burned myself out with farming fatigue. Personally, I've clocked 258 hours according to steam across five 50s, one for each class.

It's also not fair to compare FNV at a huge discount price vs BL2 at barely discounted or brand new price(unfamiliar with gaming prices in other currencies, but obviously 3.75 vs 33 is not new game vs new game comparison when they are both AAA productions). In a few years when there's a 75% off BL2 GOTY or something edition that itself is already down to $19.99 then discounted 75% in a sale, it's more fair to argue that way.

tbh 1euro per hour is not to bad imo. most shooter games are more like 10e/h if you dont like multiplayer

1 euro per hour is fucking amazing, probably half of all the games are nowhere near that.

To be honest, I don't think I could ever play more than one playthrough solo. This game is one of the rare coop gem these days, and that is where it shines. Siren is by far the strongest coop character, but she does seem pretty lackluster on her own.
As for the money question, I'd pay 20$ for a great ~5h game like Prey any day. Length is overrated, it's the experience/memory that matters. That said, Borderlands 2 in coop is a blast and easily worth it anyway.

Have you checked out the mechromancer? Anarchy is op, I three shotted bosses by myself and I get a free summon minion to defend for me.

Gaige's Plasma Anarchy build with a few ETech SMGs is the best solo build that I've found, and works pretty well for both missions and bosses. Oh so much fun.
Any of you guys had an opportunity to play the new DLC yet? Looks amazing.

Only played a few hours so far, not as funny as Mr. Torgue, but the scenery is a nice change to the desert of the first two DLC. Hammerlock more likeable as in the main game, Nakayama seems like a cool guy and the witch doctor are great new enemies. The new vehicle is pretty bad. Overall I find the new DLC better than Mr. Torgue, because it is actually playable solo so far. I had a really hard time with my Siren solo in Torgue, especially the last boss fight was nearly impossible for me.

TSBspartacus is right, you really need to hit L50 for it to be really useful. Before maybe 40, it's a strictly anarchy build, and there are better builds for lower levels. But, when you do get there, it's a stupid amount of fun. You are become death.
Also, DeathTraps' whirring noise is obnoxious. Why haven't they fixed that yet?

So I got this game along with new video card during holidays and its been pretty fun experience. My only gripe is that whenever I search for builds online its focused on end level nowadays.
My highest guy just barely hit last tier skill. Rest are still in teens lvl. Any good suggestions for lvling builds? Its not too difficult to worry about optimization, but I can't follow end game builds yet because I don't have the synergy skills yet

You honestly dont need to follow a cookie cutter build, you can easily get by just by using your brain and reading your skills factoring your experience with enemies already. Plus you can reset your skills at anytime for a small fee. The builds you see online are usually tailored for the best practicality against certain bosses or farming some maps.

Yea I don't mind playing the same shit over again but in earlier lvls the characters aren't well defined enough to play differently imo. Action skills are mere escape tools until you can get some great synergies going. Until then its just relying on weapons for most of playthru 1. Which is kinda meh.

Not only that, but certain parts of the game are just painful if you don't have a good Corrosive weapon (other types too, but mostly corrosive).
