Hopefully golden chest drops will also scale to the new max level cap in terms of drops.

I figure it would be boring doing all the same stuff again so, with the new character coming out, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for making it more interesting. Do the side quests you didn't do the first time through the game. You outlevel sidequests before you can possibly do them all at that level, so just choose different ones to get a slightly different experience.

Anyway, discussion? Best character? Is Krieg a badass? What are your thoughts about a second season pass? Would you rather have an earlier (likely but as of yet unconfirmed) BL3?, or do you want more DLC for BL2, maybe expanding on the Hyperion bullshit base on the moon? Are six characters enough or would a seventh work?

best character is easily gunzerker just because of money shot, now with grog nozzle, even better. not looking forward to the next level pack upgrade though. I HATE leveling. but i'll prolly end up doing it. by the way, next DLC is a halloween themed one, T.K. Baha's something something (can't remember the name) and Digistruct Peak.

It's one of my favorite games and I still play it from time to time (currently playing mechromancer with friends of mine), but I believe this game would be even better with some minor adjustments. Gearbox made some really questionable decisions, which make the game sometimes boring and downright frustrating, like endless backtracking, stupid quest design, enemies, who are mobile as hell and oneshot you (hi dragons @ dlc 4), endless dungeon zone in dlc 4 (most retarded level ever) and item design in DLC's (why are most seraph items so horrible?). Also the whole bee situation was handled very poorly, should have fixed it immediately. On the other side, this game is the most funniest game I've played and at it's core it is really well designed. Classes can be played in multiple ways, combat is fun, the loot system is much more better than Diablo 3 (Guess what Blizzard, legendary actually means those items are some of the best!). There are multiple ways to receive legendary loot, but it stills makes farming an essential part of the game. The focus on coop makes this game really satisfying to play with friends, though it can be sometimes really hard to run solo (Invincible bosses are actually invincible until you farmed/lucked good gear or run a special strat to take them down). Best character (damage output wise) is probably mechromancer and zero, though I don't have any idea how strong Krieg is. Still, every character has ways to access the most ridiculous damage output over short periods. Personally, I love my Siren (I play Siren both in BL1 and 2) and would never trade her for any other character. She's just so versatile and can fit in any group (either as cc, healer or some decent damage output). Also, I'd rather see Borderlands 3 than more dlc. I think the season passes added enough content to make the game feel complete. I'm now at the point, where I'd rather see more planets introduced. I've dumped about 350 hours into BL1 and 2 until now and I'm kinda fed up on Pandora. They should have added the Hyperion moon base rather than that stupid dlc3 (The professor was the only good addition in this dlc). Also, dlc2 was total trash gameplay wise, though Mr Torgue was hilarious. They redeemed themselves with dlc4, which was a total fanservice and I had a blast playing it until the last zone, which sucked so hard, it made me almost rage quit. It just seems to me that gearbox is running out of ideas for Pandora (evident in dlc2 and 3), which is why I'm disliking a second season pass added. With some minor tweaks and Lilith again as playable character (please make this happen!), BL3 should be looking great.

I got around to playing it pretty late, but I'm almost all the way through my UVHM playthrough and I've truly had a blast playing it. Going from TVHM to UVHM was a bit of a shock when everything suddenly killed me, but once I got used to the difficulty it was business as usual. Does anyone else still play this game, and if so, how do you play? End-game, farming and optimising your character, or more of the "casual" route where you play the story, maybe TVHM, and finish up all the DLC and be done with it? I haven't played a farming-focused game in a while now and it's been a nice change of pace from what I've played the last few months. I actually played both BLs one after another in a span of smth like 1,5 weeks. In both games I played the sirens. Since I got both of em so late, I just decided to pass the stories once, and be done with it. BL1 actually seemed a lot more fun than BL2. Weapon farming was easier in BL1, Lilith's phasewalk was better than Maya's Orb thing, even just for the ability to run through a zone really fast. BL2 had annoying enemies like those knockbacking monkeys that when hit, sent you flying. 4 of those could basically play volleyball with your character, not to mention knockbacking you to death, off the map. I had a reallty REALLY hard time finding good weapons in BL2, playing casually, doing all the missions and side-quests. At one point I had a purple lv22 assault that did 692 a hit, that I got from a GOD-liath lv 29, that I had to finish the game with. Switching to specialized weapons was more of a chore than a fun mechanic for each enemy. Oh robots? yeah that lv 30 physical shotty you got there is not gonna do shit to those lv30 robots, but a lv 19 corrosive shit-shooter will kill em in 5 hits... really... I do get you need to diversify your weapons to kill, but it was not at all fun at some points, if you didn't get a good drop for a while. I hated slag, and could never find an SMG my level. At lv 31 I decided to tip moxxy the 100;000 and all I got were 2 shit lv 22 SMGs... Needless to say I finished the game with underpowered weapons, but was overall disappointed. Will not buy another season pass. I might buy BL3 when it comes out to try the multi, but no more DLCs for BL2 for me.

I've definitely gotten my moneys worth with BL2 and the DLC so far, but grinding random drops with a low chance just has a limited time span where it retains its excitement and fun. That's just natural.

I enjoyed Scarlett's, Torgue's and Tina's DLCs, Hammerlock's was quite frankly shit. Even the raid bosses were annoying (99 eridium across the map? Come on) @hoothushi: Krieg is hilarious. He's entire gameplay is based around either burning up (yeah) or running around with your buzz axe and killing stuff dead up close. Coupled with a shotgun or some shit you get pretty explosive gameplay. There are points where it becomes kind of impossible to go for suicide runs like you can on Normal Mode, but I've still enjoyed Krieg the most.

@Latham, there's a build for Maya that let's you speedrun through anything really. Rough Rider shield and Fleet skill with a Breakneck Banshee class mod. Gets you +11 Fleet at all times.. Raid bosses are part of the fun in this game. While Diablo could learn a thing or two regarding legendaries, Gearbox could learn something about designing raid bosses

I'm pretty much done with the game until Moonbase comes out; just leveling by itself to 72 doesn't sound very appealing to me without new content to do it in. I agree that BL1 did gun diversity/loot balancing a lot better than BL2. If you want the best damage output now, you pretty much have to use Norfleets and/or multiple-projectile guns that don't divide added damage evenly (or other specific builds, like forcing Immolate, abusing Evil Smasher, farming Critical Ascension stacks, etc.) I will say it's pretty funny to Quasar Hyperius and kill him in a few seconds by abusing Zer0's Bore.
