Wish the Tiny Tina DLC was longer because for most "geared" folks the longest parts were just trawling through the dungeons while the bosses were pretty disappointing. Humour was top notch compared to the other ones though so maybe that makes up for it. Havent farmed endgame that much with the announcement of the added level cap raise since grinding a bunch of best in slot level 61s will be obsolete.

Maybe if you have a really strong fire weapon like a Fire Norfleet launcher then you could build something but just straight up dps for raid bosses not so much. Played through everything with a gunzerker- pretty fun. UHVM is a cakewalk if you have a level appropriate Rubi (ideally with slag) and a double penetrating unkempt harold with torgue grip + money shot is enough dps for almost everything. Haven't played around with the grog nozzle/sand hawk that much but I heard those were pretty good as well. Elemental Empathy, far down in the Hellborn tree, makes killing (raid) bosses possible even when solo. Get your hands on a good elemental weapon and you kind of never go down since you'll have a flat 25% of all elemental damage you deal right back as healing. That aside, I feel like Gearbox tried to make Krieg truly unique by giving him bonuses for taking damage and being on fire and whatnot. There are a few holes in his gameplay in comparison to the other five, but he still works surprisingly well considering the fact that he's essentially made to suicide in many builds.

Also, if you spec for fire damage in UVHM, you can literally just walk right through most of the story with just a flame of the firehawk shield. When the nova triggers and you are holding rubi, 12% of the damage is healed. Coupled with elemental empathy and Raving Retribution, you can almost never die.

they are dirt cheap and you know there is something great in the game play. picked up BL2 for $15 off of ebay because i missed the steam sale. i play BL2 with my gf. its great fun. next purchase is. BL1 and its 4 DLC packs off of Ebay for $7. it'll be interesting to see how much they can squeeze out of us for all the BL2 DLC stuff which costs over $20 even when it goes on sale. the story/campaign/lore is pulp fiction at its finest... what a cool universe they've created. the enemy AI can also be regarded as the "pulp fiction" of AI's... but who cares .. it works... its just silly, stupid, chaotic, fun.

RPS: I noticed you picking it up and playing it yourself earlier, and thought ‘that’s probably a good sign’. Randy Pitchford: That particular build we had today, we were running the PC version, and I was checking some things. We have a custom version we’ve developed with NVIDIA, so if you have an NVIDIA card, especially one of the newer ones, you can get crazy awesome physics simulations, cloth simulation, fluid dynamics, really cool stuff. Mostly cosmetic but still rad to look at nonetheless. And then once I was in there I started looking at other things. I hadn’t looked at the full day/night cycle shading in that corner of that environment yet, so I was watching the moon turn. I actually created the physics for the way the planet works, and the planet has this elliptical orbit around its star. The habitable side of the planet actually faces against the star, so you don’t actually see the sun, ever. Meanwhile the moon has this sort of geo-synchronous position in the sky, so it’s always in the same spot in the sky. The moon has a crazy fast rotation, it takes about 20 minutes for it to spin. One side of the moon is a furnace, like a nuclear furnace, where it’s reacting and it’s super-hot, and it splashes a lot of extra light onto the planet. On the other side it’s very cold and dark, and so when the moon spins, when the hot reactive side warms up the atmosphere and it gets hot, it feels lighter outside. When you get the cold side it’s not dark, because you’re getting the ambient light from the nearby star, but it gets dim, with a sort of cold feeling, and you can also see these beautiful auroras in the sky. From that particular position I hadn’t actually looked at the light cycle from the moon spinning, and I was checking that out, so that’s what I was doing down there." taken from http://www.reddit.com/r/Borderlands/comments/1kaxa9/bl2_moon_rotates_but_doesnt_revolve/

Next week they are releasing: Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/a-first-look-at-new-borderlands-2-dlc-digistruct-peak-and-tk-bahas-bloody-harvest/ There are also rumors about a Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition that will include a lot of the DLC. http://www.gamespot.com/news/borderlands-2-getting-game-of-the-year-edition-report-6413703 "The bundle is believed to include all of the game’s previously released content, playable characters, pre-order incentives, and raised level cap." Although, I'm not so sure I can wait for the bundle to come out before getting an expansion. But if I go back and get BL1's bundle, that might tide me over. I'm currently leveling up my Siren as I play co-op, we're tearing our way thru the Borderlands. I definitely got my money's worth on this game.. and I'm sure Gearbox is going to get some more of my money too Oh and there's going to be a short film! http://www.gamespot.com/news/borderlands-2-short-film-coming-this-week-6413660

I have a better name for it: "Promo Trailer For New DLC". Gearbox is not revealing the exact details of the DLC package deals until they are available for sale. Sneaky guys. Every long time RTS fan will probably remember Relic's RTS game Homeworld. When THQ went bankrupt an auction/bankruptcy guy sold the Homeworld IP to Gearbox. The Gearbox prez stated they have big plans for Homeworld.

but i suspect it'll be easier to get really good Shields until the new DLC is announced September 3. http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/community/articles/1079/borderlands-2-gear-up-weekend-shields Also, you can get all the previous DLC... the full game... and every "add on class" and level up to either 61 or 72... with the "Game of the Year" edition just announced. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/08/28/borderlands-2-goty-edition-stuffed-with-dlc-out-october/

As someone starting fresh, how would I go about doing the DLC's and story so that I don't severely out-level either? Should I wait until UVHM to start the DLC since all that scales up to 61? I don't want to be breezing through content that's under leveled and too easy. Makes it boring.

Since you don't want to be over leveled, just limit how much side quests you do. Use them to gain some levels if you're struggling with an area. The dlcs I believe are all around lvl 30 initially but I didn't do any of them until I beat TVHM. So for TVHM I'd say just play straight through then after you beat it, go do quests that give you items you want and then go play UVHM.

It's 15 euro here.... and people wonder why Eastern Europe is a hub of piracy. >_> Really interested in this game, was looking forward to a sale but this isn't enough of a discount yet... hoping for something like -66% or better during Summer sale I guess. :S It just seems like a better version of Borderlands 1, and I enjoyed that one quite a bit. ^^
