I'm curious what they gave up to the CBJ for him.

I agree about the practice jerseys and the regulars. Soccer unis would be so much more pretty without BIMBO plastered across the chest. LOL edit Fuck. I love dubi. My fav player that isnt Hank. But Slats just fucking bent howson over. Dubi's a good 2nd liner. He was shit last year for whatever reason but he is more of a 50ish point guy than that year. Arty is a tweener who needs skill on his line or he is kind of invisible. Erixon is a 2nd or 3rd pairing dude maybe. He wasnt gonna make the rangers this year though. that 1st is late. This is a def win for the rangers, that contract will be scary in 3-4 years. Rangers now looking at Nash-Richards-Gabby (he is out til dec) Hagelin-Stepan-Cally Kreider-Boyle-Pyatt Rupp-Hale-Asham That is pretty fucking solid. That trade was also almost a striaght salary swap, so they still have $13m with MDZ and stralman to sign. More than enough to get Doan and then Pyatt goes to the 4th where he belongs.

Definitely agree with you, Rangers win big time on this one. Makes me think about what other suitors ( if there were any) were offering. I don't see how Doan fits on the team once Gaborik is healthy. I guess he bumps Hagelin down to third line duty? But, if you're Doan, there's quite a few things to consider. This team is going to have a good a shot as any one as winning the cup. He will definitely be out of the spotlight ( as much as you can on a sports team in New York ), as everyone will be all over Nash. Does he want to play with Stepan as his centre when other teams like the Flyers and the Pens can offer him much more? He's got a lot of options. I really wish he would stop pissing around with the Coyotes and move on. Also, does this set the stage for the long rumored Bobby Ryan move? The market has been established with that trade...so what does it take to get Ryan? More, less? If he really is on the block, I wouldn't be surprised to see talks for him pick up now.

I honestly would have much prefered Ryan. Ryan is fucking nasty, young, every bit as skilled and physical and on a much, much better contract. I think the price for Ryan just sky rocketed though. He's the better player imo I also think that Stepan can definitely be a 60/70 point dude next season. He's really underrated. Torts likes to bounce lines around, so I am sure that he plays with Nash and/or Gabby some.

Homer is crazy and will likely do something next. Notable RFAs not yet signed: Subban, Carlson and Del Zotto. Semin and Doan are still out there too as UFAs, and Doan gave Friday as his deadline to the Coyotes for resolving their ownership dilemma or he moves on. Bobby Ryan is still very vocal about getting out of Anaheim, and this probably is the domino that makes that happen.

After signing a contract like that Shea Webber has absolutly no grounds to base a trade demand on. That sheet of paper is one of the grossest contracts ever signed in NHL history. Nashville should not trade Webber, even if he demands it.

I don't think Nashville will trade Weber after spending 28 mil (?) including bonuses on him this year coming year, since the CBA says he can't be traded for 365 days after signing an offer sheet. Unless the offer is Lindros huge.

solid pick up by carolina theyre gonna roll a top six of something like semin-staal-skinner ruutu-staal-jokinen That is really fucking solid, especially in that average division. If that d isn't a disaster and Cam can post .910 or better, they can very easily be a playoff team.

"That’s ultimately up to Greg Jamison,” Bettman said Wednesday when asked if the sale will proceed quickly. “But having the landscape cleared off a little bit should make it easier for him to do this if he’s going to be able to get it done." www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2012/07/26/coyotes-sale-remains-in-limbo-despite-glendales-324-million-subsidy-offer/ a 1 year deal for Semin is a great idea. the guy can score goals and a 1 year deal puts him on a short leash. i'm really surprised other teams didn't try to get a deal like this done with Semin much earlier. The only definite draw back with Semin is that his level of play does not rise in the playoffs the way it does for many other NHLers.

I am really surprised that pitt or detroit didn't take a run at him for that money.
