Lets hope VPD have their shit together for this year's riots.

Oh they will be, every Canadian team is always heavily criticized man. No way around it. The media here are hounds. I just don't see either one of them winning it.

I am so happy that TSN picked up Kerry Fraser and have him writing 5 articles a day on the complexities of the NHL's rules. I have read quite litterally every article he has written. Kerry Fasers most recent blog and past ones

Leafs "fans" chanting lets go Blue jays at the ACC tonight. Thought that was pretty funny

It will only get worse orcas. They started chanting in period 2.
P.S. There was one season I couldn't stand on Kerry's officiating. In fact, he was cut off from officiating any playoff games that one season because he did such a horrible job when he's usually there to ref.
I liked this blog entry opening from him:
All calls result from subjective decisions made by the game officials. Most of the time sound judgment is employed to make those rulings. If an official demonstrates a lack of sound judgment on a consistent basis he is not likely going to be assigned to the playoffs which results in a loss of bonus income or could eventually be marked for job termination if his overall performance is deemed substandard from season to season. That too can be a subjective decision!
Not to say I think he's bad. He made a few booboo's in his day like any other ref, but hell if it weren't for him we would have beat the Islanders in that one season. Instead we're left with the longest playoff drought in the history of the franchise, which is pathetic. If your team isn't good enough to make the playoffs you got some serious issues, especially in the East.
Any decent club should make the playoffs with ease.

So took a puck to the face/beak last night vs the Isles, and came back out for the end, just a few weeks after coming back from a major concussion.
The Pens medical staff is abso-fucking-lutely retarded. He was probably ok, but as we've seen this year with Pronger and the stick, it doesn't necessarily take an elbow, shoulder or hit on the ice to give you a concussion. Why the fuck would you risk it for 2 pts vs the isles when you're in already? God damn.

That's such a good gif. This isn't the first time the Penguins medical staff have been scrutinized. Mario Lemieux anybody? Anyway, I wouldn't read too much in the face shot block (yeah, that's right!). Head's up play right there. I'm sure he'll be fine until the next major injury.

A nose shot he is probably ok, but what the hell would you risk it for?? I dunno, they're all idiots there.

Man with all these crazy line combinations lately I think everyone on the Canucks lineup has played together with everyone.

Lol, not quite sure but is that bourque?

Anyone see the Pens/Flyers ending today? Playoff hockey!
|
Should be a hell of a series if they meet in the playoffs.
Still 1 more game between the 2 before playoffs even start that might decide home ice advantage!
I think I like this Flyers team more than I have since the legion of doom days. (Just imagine if we were healthy.)

Time to pick my playoff team because I'm a Leafs fan...lol. Usually I'd say Caps but I may have to go with the Rangers this year!

Def. be a good series even though Pittsburgh outplayed them pretty badly in that game, I think they have the better team but it does suck that Pronger is out. He is a complete game-changer and with him this series could be one for the ages... no way I would miss a second of it.

Go with Rangers, Bruins or Preds. I like defensive hockey, I like good goalies, and I like teams that punish opponents physically.

Woohoo playoffs are so close! I have the template done for the playoffs, just need to wait and see which teams make it. (I will update it every morning after the games from the night before)
