Man this guy is on fire. Last person to score 60 goals or more was Ovie in 2007-2008 with 65.

Qubec aint getting a NHL team in the near future. Bettman flat out stated last summer that unless they get a new arena built its not even a consideration. I doubt Quebec gets a team for another 4 years

And personally I dont have a problem with that, QC is small and the Nordiques were almost always terrible anyway. I'd rather see a team in Seattle

The Nordiques would play their first 3 seasons in the old Pepsi Colisé. Betman and Bill Daily said numerous times that this is a viable option. You guys just don't know what you're talking about.

RDS out of absolutely nowhere has decided to triple the size of their hockey department covering the NHL I know what they did. Hence the 4 year guesstamite. They are starting to build it does not equate to having a new arena. RDS wouldn't have any inside info on a team moving either. Sounds like the are blindly guessing

why spend money renovating the arena if it'll be replaced in 3 years. 6 months does not equal 4 years. i guess you can say your "guess-timate" came within 4 years. :D RDS watches its biggest competition TVA .. TVA is owned by who? that is why they are hiring more hockey people.

The Mayor last year was hopeful of a new owner. The Mayor this year is claiming Betman and Daly are liars and the NHL has dealt with them in a fraudulant manner. The Coyotes are done in Phoenix when the Coyotes are knocked out of the 2012 playoffs or win the Cup in 2012. Seattle is not viable because they do not have an owner and 15,000 people willing to buy season's tickets on a moments notice. Quebec City has both.

Quebec spending the cash for a quick reno of that old building does not mean they are getting the team. All last summer all it was was speculation that Winnipeg would get the Coyotes and they didn't. The fact that Winnipeg got the trashers at what seemed like a moments notice is the only reason to think Quebec will get the team. Until they announce something its just posturing. Im willing to bet if the NHL says the Coyotes are NOT moving to QC that the 7m is suddenly not spent. And I cannt find a single source for Betman or Daly saying that playing in the old arena while the new one is building is ok.

The team even had a court held auction that produced NOTHING and they didn't move. No owners. All potential owners wanted the team moved to Winnipeg, which is not possible due to that terrible lease on Jobing.com Arena. the mayor is calling the NHL a fraud. she said nothing close to this last year or at any previous time. she is talking about only paying $11 million for an arena fee rather than $25 million. nothing like this was discussed last year. the second Scruggs pulls any of the money off the table.. is the second the NHL leaves town. The NHL is happy to run the team in/for Glendale so long as they pay for the losses. the NHL has an owner waiting in Quebec who will pay all the bills and assume all the risk. The other 29 NHL owners do not want to assume the risk entailed in keeping a team in a city where no one wants to pay decent cash to see hockey. Daly has already said it like 5 times. Betman won't come on PrimeTime Sports because he is feuding with McCown so you'll never hear Betman ever say anything on that show. why spend $7 million on an arena that is being replaced in 3 years? why? because NHL Hockey will be there in Septemeber.. that's why. The Ice Capades is already overbooked in the Forum! lol

Seattle has been known for having an incredibly loyal fanbase that sells out every sporting event up there. Also, why does Quebec want a second franchise so badly? Do they not all like the Canadiens?

I found the attendence data for the SuperSonics: http://www.databasebasketball.com/teams/teamatt.htm?tm=sea&lg=n Didn't seem like they were sold out the last years. That team moved out of Seattle so it's not like any succes is assured there. And Québec wants the team because of the Epic rivalry between Montréal and Québec City. They know they will sell out every night.
