It's all right, it just means that they will beat the shit out of Weber when the series goes to Detroit. Every playoff series needs something to get it going.

It was already going to be a good series without a bonehead play like grabbing a guys head and slamming it into the glass. When shit like this goes unpunished it almost makes me feel a bit ashamed for even being a fan.

And sure guys like Datsyuk would never pull this kind of bullshit but shitstains like Perry now know that they can go out and murder people and it will be okay because they are 'talent'. I know I'll probably get some hate for being a Pens fan, but come on, I've lived here my whole life and always been an attentive fan! You have to admit, whether you love them or hate them, they are getting everyone's attention. Bottom line is, hockey is a business just like everything else, and Pittsburgh has done a great job marketing the team... love it or hate it.

I must admit I laughed when I saw this live. I mean, WTF, the fans almost took out one of their key players -_- This could have ended very badly.

the volume of "booing" i've heard in Vancouver for the star spangled banner is unacceptable and embarassing. the canucks are dirty and the city itself has a long and awful history of dealing with high profile hockey losses like a spoil brat 4 year old kid. the fans yelling "communism is best" during losses to the russians was also unacceptable. the 2 riots were unacceptable. vancouver earns every bit of hatred they are getting.

Well apparently the leafs wouldn't be the most hated team in Canada if they weren't in Toronto. All this media-manufactured hate is hilarious, but I guess in other Canadian Cities(except Ottawa you're cool right now...and sometimes Montreal), including the center of the universe out east, the sports networks have nothing else to report on. I guess the hate-on gets ratings for them? And when an actual poll of the hate comes out, lo and behold the common hockey fan doesn't hate the canucks :O Also Ballard is back, hipchecks gogogooooooooo

Clearly sarcasm. Seven exclamation marks is usually a give away. On April 14 2012 06:37 Sub40APM wrote: who hates the Red Wings? One of the classiest organizations in human civilization. The Canucks wouldnt be nearly as hated if their fans werent mostly bandwaggoners who showed up in 2007, and if they got rid of all the diving and whining to the refs. People who hate the Red Wings are people who watch their team play them repeatedly every year, or get knocked out by them in the playoffs. Sure they have some very likable and respected players like Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg, but they also have Franzen, Holmstrom, and Kronwall. There is not a single team in the NHL that knows how to push the boundaries of what is legal interference in the last 5 minutes of a hockey game better than the Detroit Redwings. I'm not saying I don't like them, I do. I would love to watch the Canucks play Detroit in the second round. Even if the Canucks lose, it would be amazing hockey. Same with Chicago v. Detroit or San Jose v. Detroit. Just pointing out that they aren't angels. The Canucks have no more of an issue with Bandwagon fans then any other franchise that has experienced a moderate level of recent success. Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, etc. all of these franchises have at least as many bandwagon fans. Vancouver has one of the longest sell-out streaks in the NHL, some of the highest ticket prices, and is a major hockey market producing some of the leagues top talent. Hardly a bandwagon city. I would like to see less diving. I don't see any Canucks whining, so I can't comment on that. Kesler cost the Canucks a goal last game with his extra-curricular bullshit at the start of the 1st.
