The offense has been so abysmal that he's more than justified in his usage percentage. Also I have to criticize Mike Brown for a moment. For a guy that claims to be a defensive specialist he obviously isn't focused on rebounding and boxing out. 25 offensive rebounds against a team with two 7 footers? That's unforgivable. I really miss Phil Jackson right now. This 2-7 road record is really sad to see.

Espcially when the next closest person is Carmelo at 34% or something.

Andrew Goudelock has been decent lately, much better than Morrison. Perhaps as his minutes go up and when Steve Blake comes back from injury his usage percentage will go down.

Are you saying that his supporting cast is so much worse than any other players, that it's worth taking a vastly larger number of shots? Barnes/gasol/bynum looks decent on paper. Bynum at least is having a good season. As a lot of point guards say, you have to take care of your big men. Not involving them and leaving them cold can be a self fulfilling prophecy.

Lol. Clutz is totally right. Haven't you followed Rose through his career? He's misses free throws all the time. Not just 4th quarter ones, but those situations just make it seem worse. And he's a good player and those situations arise often. Lol Memphis/Kansas.

Not involving them and leaving them cold can be a self fulfilling prophecy. Trust me as a Laker fan I would love more than anyone for Kobe to not have an excuse to handle the ball as much as he does. But lately, he has had more than a fair share of justifications. Gasol has been incredibly inconsistent from his usual money spots in the midrange, and Bynum is being double and triple teamed by teams the moment he enters the post. Our perimiter shooting is horrid, (today was OK) and we have yet to find a consistent offensive threat off the bench, where before you could always rely on the B's to come in with great energy and Lamar Odom who was an amazing facilitator and scorer. I long for the days when Kobe was out for 3 games and the Lakers won 3 straight without him in dominating fashion as occured a few years ago but I don't see that happening with the team as it is right now, and it's not Gasol or Bynum that I'm being hard on, it's the lack of depth on the bench and the coaching staff who have yet to earn my faith. Stat of the night tells the whole story. Gasol, Bynum and Bryant together scored 84 of the team's 106 total points tonight. Our depth is proving to be a big problem this season even more so than previous seasons. I'd advise you to watch some more of the games other than the ones that are just nationally broadcasted to see the point.

Oh, missed free throws from four years ago, and one game last season, I see.. .. you have to admit that this is a slightly smaller sample pool than what you have with LeBron (who missed his FTs right after Rose did, but I haven't mentioned that even though you suggest I'd poop myself).. I'm not worried, he makes more than he misses in late game situations, which is something I can't say for LBJ

Bitter? Not at all, I didn't expect the Bulls to beat the Heat without Luol Deng - I was only reacting to a silly claim due to a total of 5-6 missed free throws over a period of 4 years..
