Whenever Lin plays, their offense depends on Lin to make something happen, whether that's to assist or score himself. So naturally, they don't know what's going on when Lin is on the bench. D'antoni seems to have found a solution for this though: play Lin the whole game. 46 minutes against Dallas yesterday.

Until, and I doubt it will matter that much, Baron Davis gets in shape and they somehow find a legit backup Center they still have issues. None of their perimeter players outside of Lin/Davis can do anything exceptionally well but spot up shooting. That bench is just terrible. So you're saying that even if Baron Davis gets in shape and they find a legitimate backup center, they still have issues...right? Your wording is a little confusing.

Your wording is a little confusing. He means that there are other issues that cannot be addressed via player acquisitions even with acquiring a good backup center (which is one of the hardest things to find when constructing a team), as well as integrating Baron into the offense and his minutes. At least that's how I interpreted his statement. The issue that I think ultimately cost the team is the ownership, as they overreach D'Antoni's desires for his team. Sooner or later, I feel that one of them has to go, and D'Antoni will pay the price. We already have seen that with the Melo trade, and Dolan is one that can always keep people guessing at what he will do, because he's irrational.

If im Lemacrus I'm getting out of there while I still can. I'd be pretty healthy in college too if I know I can steal a 1st pick in the NBA draft. All joking aside, I really hope Greg Oden recovers from all these knee surgeries and plays some ball.

And this too. A bunch of spot up shooters that can't do anything but shoot (Bill Walker, Novak, Smith on most days) is not what you want coming off the bench. Especially with a hobbled Baron Davis and the awful Jared Jeffries with them.
