Edit: Did LeaguePass start messing up for you guys just now? The key word is "could". Theoretically they could beat the Bulls and give Miami a hard time in the playoffs assuming they can play consistently across four quarters. I don't know much about the more complicated aspects of basketball but I don't think "defensive liabilities" are their main problem right now. Their main problem is that they are a bungee cord team. Sometimes they look great, other times they look like shit. Often they look great and look like shit in the same game, hell the same quarter.

It's not just inconsistency. Boston was getting plenty of opportunities before when the Knicks had the lead, they just weren't scoring. The opportunities is the problem. Boston is having a bad shooting day and the Knicks are having a good shooting day, and they're still losing out. If Boston were making open shots, this would be over. Right now they're relying on Shumpert, Davis and Jeffries to be in this game, and that's a bad reliance.

Well, in theory the Bobcats could win the NBA playoffs this year, assuming everyone on their teams post career highs in every category.. .. but they won't, and given how inconsistent the Knicks are, they won't beat the Bulls nor push Miami

Against a team like Boston with an elite PG and great shooters, it's a big problem. It's not just inconsistency. Boston was getting plenty of opportunities before when the Knicks had the lead, they just weren't scoring. The opportunities is the problem. Right now they're relying on Shumpert, Davis and Jeffries to be in this game, and that's a bad reliance. It's not just the matchups with Boston. You're seeing this against every team they play from the Heat to the Hornets, whether it's offense or defense.
