Made: Telltale Games Based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series.
So Telltale Games has been producing the game about one of the current hit comics The Walking Dead. The debut trailer looks decent and until a good enough gameplay footage I can't really say if it has some good graphics/movement/camera etc etc etc.
I personally am huge fan of the comic, not the TV-show. I am not saying it's bad but the comic is much more brutal as the TV-show so far, it may be changing after season 3 but who knows, it might be just another season of the Walking Drama.
What are peoples thoughts towards "trailer"? Also how much are people expecting this game? I like atleast the way it looks more like comic than realistic.
Wow this could be cool....maybe. Idk what I would prefer though, maybe some sort of rpg-ish story centric game. Hopefully revolving more around creepy atmosphere and good storytelling then just action action action.

Gameplay? I really hope its a realistic find food/shelter etc kind of game.

I like the art style, gameplay looks kind of awkward though. Hopefully the entire game isn't scripted, open world survival horror-type game would be awesome.
So, I'm surprised that there aren't any more comments about the game yet. I played through it and i really liked it. I don't know what the obsession with open world is. I take an entertaining story and deep characters over open world boredom any time. It's not an RPG anyways.
It's basically an interactive story / adventure. Good characters, great atmosphere, some tough decisions to make. Too bad that the first episode was really short and the next one is not gonna come out for anoter month...
I was actually JUST about to make a really nice thread about this. This game is amazing if you are a fan of the comics or the show. I loved it, and am sooooo stoked for episode 2! Definitely worth the $24.99, if you are on the fence about buying it, pull the trigger, it is very very sweet.
Does the first episode actually just end at the whole "help push the car out of the way and drive away in a truck" thing? Because if so, that's a really short episode. Seemed more like a demo than an episode.

25 euro for poorly made pseudo drama interactive story which takes about 2h to finish (from which one hour is basicly watching them talking/driving/doing whatever). Such a disapointment. Asumming that Heavy Rain set the standards for interactive story genre Walking Dead is like moving 10 years back.

Could you please explain to me what is actually good about this game. I'm really curious.
This game is pretty meh for me, way too short - some things are completly unlogical and it just doesnt fell like an adventure game, its more like interactive story.
1h-2h AT MOST of... interactive movie (with meh graphic at best, it's pretty much an interactive comic book, actually) for 5 euro each... is a joke.
If you are REALLY a fan of interactive movies/comics, then yeah, you could try it. But try it on the PS3 or the Xbox, don't buy the complete bundle. Seriously, content wise, it's not worth it. Just rent a really good movie instead.

Well have you read the comics and watched the show? I am a huge fan of both. The game is not good in the sense of a video game, running around, exploring, killing shit. I thought it was fantastic in the aspect that you get to live out the comics, you can create your own character, and live out what they do in the comics. If you don't want to listen to alot of talking then don't get it, I completely agreee, but if you want to live out the comics or the show, then get it, and you will love it. If you want a killing zombie game, just get Left for Dead or something like that.
Well telltale did a fantastic job with Jurassic Park: the game the story took place during/after the first movie with out screwing up the canon and actually making efforts to rectify the mistakes in the movie through the use of the journal. You have to play their games with a good mindset; expect a movie that you get to have a bit of fun with instead of your run of the mill action game. It's all about the story not the graphics or game play.
