Also, Notre Dame is about to get their asses handed to them vs OU in Norman this weekend.
You are truly underestimating Notre dame's Defense. They have the nation's #2 defense next to Bama. And if you think it's a fluke check out their schedule.
Is there a reason oddsmakers have OU as a 10 point favorite against ND? They have an amazing defense, but their offense can't do shit.
Wow are they really? Well i guess i know where im putting my money on Sat. I think that's a blown line. I can see ND as dog by 3 but 10? No way.
In regards to USC dropping 12 spots after a loss to Stanford, yeah that sucks. The computers love South Carolina way too much (10th) as well as West Virginia (15th). West Virginia at #19 after losing by 40 twice in a row is worse than South Carolina at 13.
God this will be the first time I cheer for OU when they smoke ND god I want that team to go away they are so bad. It's just like USC every year the analysts want them to be so good. But when against real competition they just arn't its even worse for them because there schedule so far can't even fake being good.

Ranking isn't about who lost the least but who people think are the best. Now of course having the least amount of loss helps, but thats not the sole ingredient. It's absolutely possible to think that a 2 loss team is better than undefeated teams. I still get chills when I look back to 2007 when Kansas, Missouri, and West Virginia all almost made it to the NC on a merit that they had the least amount of loss. Thankfully, all 3 of those teams lost late in the season.

And Rutgers and Louisville are undefeated because the Big East is a joke and their schedules are an even bigger joke.
Barely? 44-11 is not barely. Not to mention that LSU game was far closer than it should have been. LSU basically doubled SCC's yardage!
Even the staunchest of Cock fans here in my office won't argue that they were close games, and I'm right in the heart of Columbia. They may crap on me all day for being a Trojan fan, but they won't lie when it comes to how badly they played in the two losses.

But no one has said we will yet.
A 4 team playoff was approved this summer and will begin in 2014.

They were beating LSU 23-14 with as few as five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
And they played Florida completely even aside from stupid turnovers. If they held onto the ball they lead halftime 6-0 and it's a completely different ballgame.
I heard it wasn't going to stick but, you know, arguing with the people on the internet about something if you don't have a source then you certainly won't win.

Actually LSU was beating SCC 23-14 with 5 minutes left. I think they could have won that game despite their poor second half performance though.
I won't even argue over a 33 pt loss, even yardage or not. You lose by that much, you were never really in it to begin with.
You ask an ACC fan who the best team is and you'll get a different answer almost every time. You ask us who has the worst refs and the answer is always ACC.
The ACC has reprimanded the officials that worked last Saturday's game between Miami and Florida State, and has suspended the head official for one game, the conference announced Monday. The punishment centered around a false start penalty near the end of the first half, where the refs incorrectly penalized Florida State with a ten-second runoff.
FSU fans will be very happy about this.
Florida State coaches protested the run-off, as the team still possessed a timeout. The Hurricanes had already gone into the locker room, and had to be called back out for an FSU field goal to cap the half.
The runoff error wasn't the only controversial call from Saturday's game. Florida State was called for a number of questionable offensive passing interference penalties, and overall was penalized far more than the Hurricanes. The Seminoles were able to overcome the officiating and a slow start to win, 33-20, and take first place in the ACC Atlantic division.
If beating Florida is a perfect 10 and beating Miami is an 8, seeing that someone was punished for the officiating is like a solid 7.5
Also an official was suspended for this hilarious moment that wasn't penalized.
Between the two games, three refs and LB Shakeel Rashad of UNC are suspended for one game.
This is my bitter laugh because our running back Thompson is out for the rest of his senior season. He literally broke his back last season and..
We have a slew of RBs that can take up the slack but Thompson was one of our stars. The Ravens don't even have as many star players out as we do now.
lmao there's a video on ESPNs FSU page.. "How Duke can beat FSU". Their conclusion aside: We're 17-0-0 against Duke. This will be the 20th year we kick the crap out of Duke. And I mean that, They've never scored more than 27 points (once) against us and they've never ended a game within 7 points of us. If Duke wins it'll snow in Tallahassee.
Ohio State (No. 9 AP) and Oregon (No. 4 BCS, No. 2 AP) have agreed to a home-and-home series in 2020 and 2021, the schools announced Tuesday.
The first game will be played in Eugene, Ore., on Sept. 12, 2020, with the Ducks coming to Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 11, 2021. The two teams are ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll, and have combined to play in 13 BCS games.
Oregon and Ohio State have met eight times, the last time in the 2010 Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes won that game 26-17 and also beat the Ducks 10-7 in the 1958 Rose Bowl.
Ohio State has made a concerted effort to beef up its future nonconference schedules. Tuesday's announcement comes on the heels of recent agreements to play home-and-home series with TCU (2018 and 2019) and Texas (2022 and 2023).
The Buckeyes also said Tuesday they have completed their 2016 schedule by adding Tulsa and Central Michigan to the docket.

This has been Ohio State's modus operandi for a while now; play a few MAC/Ohio schools and one marquee non-conference opponent.
2001: UCLA (before they sucked ass) 2002: Washington St. (when they were a top 10 team with one of the best defenses in the nation) 2003/4: NC state, meh, but at least Rivers was on the team in the first game. 2005/2006: Texas 2008/2009: USC 2010/2011: Miami (these games were scheduled when Miami was better) 2012/2013: Cal (was also a better team when these games were scheduled) 2014/2015: Virginia Tech 2016/2017: Oklahoma

Surely you jest. The PAC has always scheduled well out of conference. Washington home/home with LSU. Cal recently has had Ohio St and Tennessee. USC has had home/home series with Auburn, Arkansas, Ohio St and many others over the past several years. No to mention the regular matchups of ND with several PAC schools. USC in itself is one of only 2 or 3 schools left that has never scheduled an FCS school.
