Go Michigan. Corey Brown with the touchdown an d Ohio State is now up at the end of the half. And you're talking hits, that last one Zach Boren got on Gardner was VICIOUS! Woo baby, go Bucks.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
If either of those guys didnt hit him at that exact moment he goes down

As I said before on the previous page. This is NOTHING like a Tressel coached team. I guess you could argue lack of talent/experience but I dont know if I buy that.
Im amazed at the stupid mistakes OSU is making.

Many Columbusites had grown very tired of Tressel's conservative coaching style, complete with total confidence in the absolute fucking joke of an offensive coordinator Jim Bollman. And though I'm hesitant to make too many future predictions given this season, I don't think Tressel's absence is a consummately bad thing. I think it's clear that discipline is suffering (though the first year with new coaching staff is always plagued with discipline issues), but I like the guts behind the offensive play calling and I think the system Meyer is setting up will continue to grow. On the other hand, our defense just ain't what it once was, and with the talent on the field, there ought to be no excuse.

yea, I was going strictly on defense/special teams. The offense is obviously completely different. Im curious to see what kind of defense urban can field. I think he was fortunate at florida that FSU and Miami were down when he was there so he was able to dominate the state in recruiting. Not to mention Alabama and LSU were still on the rise.
I still say tressel was a hell of a coach (I hated him and he was a scumbag IMO but you can't deny his teams seemed to make 0 mistakes, especially against Michigan).

Heh, believe me, as a born and bred OSU fan, my conception of Tressel is a tragic tale of tortured ambivalence. While I wish his exit could have been more celebratory, I am sort of glad there was an excuse to get rid of him and Bollman; I'm loving this year purely because it is a breath of coaching fresh air.
Oh yeah, I absolutely hated Meyer until he came to OSU ever since I saw him coach a game at Bowling Green State University and knock a thing of popcorn out of a kids hand. I was like 12, but it left an impression. And yeah, he ran into some excellent luck at Florida, there's no doubting that. In the end though, Meyer is the coach of the Bucks, so I'm gonna hope he has success

This Ohio State team is not good. They looked atrocious in OOC play, against terrible competition, and have benefited from a terrible conference and a lot of very very very lucky calls.
Probably best for OSU that they aren't eligible because they would be rocked (again) in the title game.
And their chances of winning the AP national championship are somewhere between 0 and -50. Anybody who has watchced this team knows they would be run off the field against any team in the top 10.

After everything that happened before this season, as in the foundations of a rock solid program were rocked to their core, I am incredibly happy with their record. No legitimate OSU fan cares about being eligible because they know this year is a rebuild.

The sad part is that OSU could have been playing in a BCS title game this year if they just took the hit last year, no? Selfish Tressel eh?

I am thoroughly convinced that Bollman's offense had run its course, and am rather certain that OSU would not have been able to win any major titles with the old system accordingly. While it was certainly not the best way for it to occur, I'm glad we got a total overhaul.

Sigh, sad end to the UofM/OSU game. It was a very close and entertaining game, so that is fun. But also gut wrenching to lose by giving the ball away three times to close out the game.
This series will be very interesting going forward. Based on recruiting both teams are poised to take a huge jump forward in the coming years. Michigan is hitting a low in talent this year and next due to the terrible recruiting in RRod's last two years. The talent brought in by Hoke won't really show up in force until 2014. OSU is hitting a low in talent this year due to the sanctions. I don't follow them as closely (or much at all outside the game) but I imagine they will do nothing but improve in the coming years as well.

To be frank, I wasn't all that fond of Hoke when he was first mentioned as a replacement for Rich Rod the Felon Wrangler, but it would seem that he's a nice fit at Michigan. I hope to God they keep him on long enough for his recruiting to take effect and for his system to come into maturity; I think it is the only way the rivalry stays competitive.
Oh yeah, GO BUCKS! Time and Change will surely show

Selfish? huh? Tressel was gone in the spring. He had no input on whether to self-impose a ban last year or not.

heh, I know what you mean. I didn't eat all day because I was so nervous for the game (well, my team's game that is). I am now utterly devoid of energy, and my hands hurt from smacking the table after a bad play.
I get pretty crazy on saturdays. GL to whoever you cheer for.

Wish harder cause I'm a Seminole fan :X lol.

Gardner played like shit in the 2nd half. People around detroit are trying to blame the OC (Borges) but honestly Devin was incredibly inaccurate in the 2nd half. It was pretty obvious the pressure of the game/environment along with OSU's adjustments got to him.

Dear Florida St,
Stop turning the ball over FFS.

'Bama finished second in their division, and was basically awarded a rematch vs LSU because of the reputation of the SEC. Any team has the right to bitch if another team with similar credentials gets the nod over them. What's interesting about the Pac-10 is that Oregon has a chance to not make a BCS bowl at all. Stanford or UCLA could be champions in the end, leaving their fate at the whim of an at-large bid. And on the other hand, finishing the season with wins over Oregon State and UCLA could be quite useful for Oregon if certain dominoes fall the correct way on the national level. On a similar note, it's amusing the third-best team in a Big "10" division has a chance to win the conference and go to the Rose Bowl, which I suppose would be divine justice against Nebraska's odd luck thus far. There's quite a few good games today, really And I'll be spending the day helping my buddy move. *sigh* what are friends for, right?
I can't say I really blame Oklahoma State for that choke job against Iowa State. They're a powerhouse.
Don't forget that 2 big 12 teams didn't win their conference and still got to go to the NCG. Dat double standard.
Edit: Can't believe I jumped on the bandwagon for the Beavs. What a bunch of pretenders
