Also, I'm not sure the disparity between FSU and NIU is any larger than Florida and Louisville. I mean really, you can't complain that much about non-major programs getting a BCS shot when the Big East is still considered a major conference and gets a free shot.
Louisville lost to fucking Connecticut. CT is actually worse than the better MAC schools, and it's not an exaggeration. Jadeveon Clowney, 6'6" sophomore DE who led the nation in sacks this year is gonna sit on Devin Garnder/Denard Robinson the entire game. Michigan State is gonna get rolled even harder by TCU probably though... I think I'm going to the Little Caesars Bowl. Western Kentucky is meh (why is a 7-5 Sun Belt team in a bowl game...) but they got Central Michigan. Fire up Chips! Edit: Lmao CMU is 6-6. What a joke bowl. I hope you fly down here for the Orange Bowl though. It should be around 70 degrees :D I wish I could, but I don't think it's in my finances. Plane tickets are expensive, and the game tickets are expensive too Honestly he is not the worst mismatch on the SCar Dline for UM. Clowney should be going up against a first rounder in Taylor Lewan for most of the game. The real issues for UM are with the interior Oline.

My family wants to go to a bowl game this year. Last year we went to the Outback Bowl between UGA and Mich State and had a blast. My older sister went to UGA and my younger sister goes to South Carolina. I go to GT, but fuck El Paso. Plus the bowls in Florida are close enough to drive to. They are looking at either going to the Capitol One Bowl, UGA vs Nebraska, or the Outback Bowl again, South Carolina vs Michigan. Which do you guys think is the better game? Also, I don't mind going to a UGA game as a GT student. Last year I just dressed up in all green and trolled all the way through that 3OT victory for MSU.
I was thinking before that UGA vs Nebraska would be the better game but now I'm not sure after Nebraska gave up 70 to Wisconsin, so I just wanted to get some input

MSU was so painful to watch this year. They lost all their games but the ND game by less than a TD. If their offense was at least half as good as their defense they could of won the Big 10 >_> but soooooo bad outside of like 2 guys on the offensive side.

If you use that argument, you could also say that they won three games by less than a touchdown. They could of just as easily been 3-9 as 9-3.

Wasn't making an argument. I said it was painful to watch them consistently lose close games and to have to watch that offense.

Thanks for the lesson Jibba that was very enlightening. I didn't think about most of that, didn't realize some of that and now understand why some people are against the playoffs.

Wanna know something wild? Michigan State was 10th in the nation in scoring defense, giving up just 16 points per game. They only gave up 20 or more in 4 of their games. However they were...107th in scoring offense, averaging just 20 points per game.
After losing Captain Kirk and their four top receivers (the winningest class in MSU history), I knew their offense wouldn't be as good. But this is pathetic.
Side note: Teams knew from the beginning that Le'Veon Bell would be the only threat on MSU's offense, and he still got 1600 yards. What a beast.
And yeah thanks for the lesson, Jibba, that was all extremely shocking, especially the bowl appearance fee. I was always under the impression that it worked like tournaments in soccer, in that the bowls would pay the universities to show up and play in their game.
It's kinda funny how the propaganda is on TV as well. You never hear "the school has to buy 17000 tickets for the game," you hear "the Orange Bowl gave the school 17000 tickets."

Not sure if anyone cares, but twitter is blowing up with Gundy to Arkansas news. Thoughts?

Would have been an easy $100, and then I could give you the points on what is sure to be a stupid spread (because vegas plays to make money not to get it right) and not feel bad about letting you get some money back Sounds fair enough. LOL you're still convinced that any team besides Bama would beat K-State eh? Bama would probably be a 10pts favorite and Georgia would probably be a 3.5-6 pts favorite. Barring any kind of serious injuries.
Wow i was pretty damn close. Alabama a 9.5 point favorite. @iGrok
Wanna do a office pool for all the BCS bowl games? Or to anyone else who's interested?

ALRIGHT! If we can get at least 5 people it'll be awesome. We can do a $10 (at least) pool. Winner takes all. @ Farvacola I see it's your birthday. Happy birthday.

Badgers' Bret Bielema to Coach Arkansas
One possible reason:
Rittenberg/Bennett @ESPN_BigTen Wisconsin didn't exactly shell out for assistants and Bielema lost six after last year. Could be a motivating factor.

I can't wait to see him and Les Miles out-mismanage the clock against each other! Also, have fun recruiting in the SEC, where no one behaves like Urban Meyer.
He's doomed from the start.

Should do predictions for every bowl game, see who has the best record.

No, I don't want to do an office pool. I'll bet any amount on Georgia minus points though.
Still mad as hell about that game.

More than willing to do a pool on the actual good bowl games, and all the BCS games.
I prefer the format of picking winners. The tiebreaker will be you arbitrary guess of each final score.
I really don't like the spread :/

This just in (or recently, anyway): Tommy Tuberville to coach at Cincinnati leaving Texas Tech
Pretty out of the blue. I guess he'd rather dominate the (second?) easiest big conference and crack into the BCS that way than compete with Stoops, Gundy, or Snyder. Money? Weather? Whatever the reason, quite an odd decision.

Big east lost their automatic bid starting next year I believe.
Maybe Lubbock just fucking sucks
Still was shocking to see this happen though.
