Once i was to scared to take a 2 stab hit when Ottomans declared on Tunis so now north africa is off limits for the moment. Well... Gonna eat up India now and brace myself for Ottomans + Krim final Boss (my Miltech and Ideas are behind ) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=289984488 For some weird reason i can't get relations with Oman high enough to Vassalise them (i took the whole arabian peininsula and most stuff north like that). How did you split Russia in half? In my game my first priority was to colonize Siberia before them so they would stay as weak as possible. Despite them not colonizing a single province they still have the largest army in the game and are 2 military tech points ahead of me. The combination of me and the Ottomans can barely defend versus the Russian bear.

I allied Golden Horde and immediatly went to war with AQ, i took my cores and released a 2 province Iraq (this is imho the best Timu start in general, but don’t get dragged into Golden Horde vs Krim/Kasan/Stuff war… Not worth it even if you win). I immediatly declare war on Usbeke, take iirc 2 provinces and release Kazhachstan. Then i went after Nogai, luckily Chagathai joined in,o Kazhachstan took all its cores from Chagathai and I took a bit of Nogai. So i lacked one province to „close off“ Russia, but whiteout a colonist thats all i could do. At about 1455 i allready had vassalised Iraq, Kazhachstan, Najd and allied the Ottomans. Next step was simple : Vassalise Usbeke, Jemen and Hedjaz and go to war with the Mamluks whenever possible (sadly i failed a bit at this so the Ottos got more than they should have). „Cutting“ Russia of was simple: I waited… And waited… Then finally the Ottomans/Krim (my allies at that point) went to war with them. I joined seperately and carped sieged everything north of me, I beat their main army once and then made a peacedeal at about +15% (because the Ottos/Krim peaced out and attrition is a bitch). Sadly now the Ottomans have cores all over North Africa, so they hate me and our ~130 year alliance is a thing of the past. If i go to war with Ottos, Russia is likely to gang on me and vice versa… So i just wait for them to go after each other and jump in again while swallowing India/Asia making sure my army stais near the forcelimt. I am 1-2 techs behind them but my army is bigger (at least the game tells me that). Btw: Imho the main „trick“ to play Timurids is to not take Dheli early (at least if you don’t want to only go eastwards). The big rebell stacks are not worth it, start by going north and west in the beginning, take Dheli once ~2X Rebell stacks aren’t tough for you anymore (or be prepared to park your armies there for a long time).

Unlike last time, a Western nation has successfully been invaded. First 'real' cheese has been unveiled. Will post link when video is up.

+ Show Spoiler + the "Reach religious unity" and "Recover manpower" missions to gain 25 administrative/25 diplomatic power each (and prestige) roughly every 5 days. You need spare gold and 74% religious unity before the 25% religious unity bonus from "Tolerance" in the Humanist idea group so that you are left at 99%, granting you the "Reach religious unity" mission. 1. Colonize an area it will tip over to 100%, fullfilling the mission. 2. Then queue enough troops to be given the "Recover manpower" mission. 3. Finally cancel the colony and the queued troops and thus recover your manpower, fullfilling the mission. Repeat above steps for unlimited administrative and diplomatic power :-D Edit: wrong numbers

France is going to hate your guts once you have acquired most of the lowlands, so helping them is usually not a good tactic. You should instead pray that Austria doesn't forsake you until you can manage to become emperor and try to cripple France with the help of Spain while colonising as much as you can and dominating the carribean.

I've annexed all my vassals, England's provinces in the french region, Brittany and taken some land from Provence. Good luck- I recently completely did a French run, and my borders essentially stayed the same or shrunk in Europe once I got all the French cores. xD (Depends on if you're doing ironman/have lucky nations on, because Austria is a pain in the ass with lucky nations on). In other news, I wrapped up my Ottoman run. I ended up taking Vienna and Samarkand in the same war- I was beating coalitions with France, Austria, and the Timurids in them. Generally Austria and France would not be in the same coalition, but I did beat them both at several points. I united Islam, but didn't really have time to do anything else. Here's the final map: + Show Spoiler + And final score + Show Spoiler + Not bad for a third major run. The last 5 or 6 wars were a real slog fest. Lucky nations makes things a pain in the butt. Austria got a 19 stat general out of thin air when their military tradition should have been middling at best- they almost beat me in war they had no business winning. But the AI is dumb and kept trying to invade across the Bosporus and getting whomped when their manpower/vassals would abandon them. It was actually easier to fight them when Austria united the HRE, because I didn't have to deal with the 100 stacks of 3-5 regiments in the Balkans. That was some serious whack-a-mole. I kind of want to do an Austria run now. Or get my Cathar Roman Empire from Crusader Kings 2 imported (I'd have to play another 130 years, and its kind of boring when I've conquered everything though). Also, do the Iroquois usually westernize and beat down the 13 colonies? Because they totally did in my Ottoman run... and I was like, wow, good job Iroquois. Way to stick it to them.

It's not Ironman (my first game, I want to have some margin), but I'm not sure what I set lucky nations to. I did set the difficulty to easy though

Is there anything I can do to become an elector? Should I kill off all the other HRE nations? Wait even longer?
