Your troops of the many villages you control cannot merge into an army, and attackers cannot combine their forces either. Defenders however can. So you basically gather all the ressources and supplies by hand to build one large army in a single village to even get a decent offense.
Information is almost impossible to obtain in time, at least relevant information for battles. The "races" are utterly, utterly imbalanced, Germans are waaaay overpowered, gallics are ok and have at least a slight edge, while romans are totally, utterly fucked.
In the end you'll notice that the only thing you're doing is farming, farming and more farming. Wars are close to impossible to be controlled, it basically comes down to mass.
And yes, I know what I'm talking about, I've played these massive multi browser games for years and always was a top100 quality player.
If I'm supposed to argue or elaborate, feel free to ask.
=(((( Why are Romans fucked?

www.imperialkingdoms.com is a pretty decent game. The player base is a bit on the low side, but the game has a lot of potentional. It is based off a game called Xenocide3001, which was made by some Norwiegan guy.

ChrisJH (-178,50) Teutons (because I think the word "teutonic knight" is badass).

So why are the romans fucked? I dont like this at all.

Doesn't the romans have the best units in the game? Why would they be fucked? Just do a supply/attack ratio comparison for yourself.

How's the embassy going? I am building a market now, so I can start donating to build an embassy

I am training troops now and will soon exterminate the surrounding villages.

WTF.... I decided I had enough economy to start building troops, so I go see what are the requirements for the barrack.. oh a rally point good I'll build it. Then I see this: the rally point can only be built to the right of the main building. Ok no problem.
BUT WAIT! I built a fucking cranny there!........ I can't remove it and I can't build a rally point, I'm so screwed. Damn I have to start over......
|
Huh? Are you sure. There's a special spot for Rally, just to the right of the town center.
|
ok nevermind just found it, my mistake I tought it was another square like the others
|
The best way to go is a mix between economy and raiding, just like SC. Although there is no raiding in SC....maybe they should add that in the next patch!

I'm wondering, if gauls need 13-14 basic units before they can attempt to raid without risking casualties.. isn't it horribly hard to be aggressive as gaul? Should I just head for cavalry asap?
|
This seems awfully exiting.

The research and tech tree building costs for cavalry will cost A LOT more. Start raiding with phalanx first.

I'm gaul and farming 5 inactives near me right now. Great way to grow. Easy 400 resources every 30-60 minutes with 13 phalanx.
