The team's still young. Just look at Orlando/Cleveland if you want to see what happens if you don't pull the trigger on a trade like this. i have to think anyone who thinks this trade makes any sense at all is massively sleeping on harden's value and clearly a team that has ~25% to win a ring every year for the next 8 years is a potential dynasty in any sense of the word

That said, congratulations on your finals appearance, LA. On October 28 2012 14:37 TieN.nS) wrote: The difference was $4.5 million right? Yeah, a team that's been making money hand over fist paying their players on rookie contracts while making deep playoff runs can't afford that I guess. FAMILY No family sticks together when you start dishing out max contracts to bench players, as good a bench player as he may be.

Paying max to harden, while he rides the bench and fails in finals, is what I call indefensible.

He'll be the only strong offensive player on that team. Best fantasy players are good players on bad teams.

He was playing starters' minutes anyway so it's not like he never played a lot of time against opposing teams' starters.

OKC were so close last year and now I'm not really sure where they stand. Is K-Mart going to be a sixth man? He could actually be pretty good in that role but nowhere near a good as Harden was. Presti's up there with the Spurs as king of the small markets though so I guess there's little reason to doubt him. I wonder how Harden's going to go now he's the 'man'. I guess we'll see how good he really is now.

Kmart and Lamb isn't going to do what Harden was able to do. I don't know why OKC wants to break away from a formula that proved that it could work, last season. only really 3 explanations: 1. they think harden is replaceable with kmart/lamb, i disagree 2. they think westbrook and kd is going to go monster, may or may not happen 3. they are just too cheap to pay him and felt betrayed he didn't take less money, ala Lin again. which is what i believe happend. and this is just stupid, haven't they sold out like every single game for 2 seasons or something? ==

They have the money, that isn't really an issue here. exactly, dunno why clay cheaped out, or did he do it just to prove a point? strange.. i mean harden was going to be a RFA, OKC still had all the cards, could still sign max or sign and trade. hmm

I doubt both, but other than OKC being cheap I don't see any other logical reasons for it. exactly, why risk potential when you have a proven young player already. == also pretty funny they got more for harden than magic got for dwight. lol
