Anyone else think Royce White is going to be a monster? His pre-season stats haven't really shown but I think he will be awesome. Only problem is his fear of flying :/

Heat/Laker fans should be happy lol. Kevin Martin might still be good- might have just had an off season last year, but he's definitely a downgrade. Jeremy Lamb could pan out in the future but definitely won't help them this season. If Lin can be just as good as he was last year on the Knicks the Rocket's backcourt just got scary. I thought the Rockets would be making a move for awhile- they have a bunch of good trade pieces- and in his AMA Rockets GM Daryl Morey kept repeating how his main goal was to get an All-Star team carrying player. I guess he found one in Harden, although I don't know about team-carrying yet.

Where in the world is OKC getting that now? Ibaka's development has to be extremely good this year for them to do damage or KD is going to have a year we've never seen before.

i guess the thunder really didn't think they had a chance at winning a championship this season? i guess as long as they lock up westbrook and durant they can play out the next couple of years however they want...

I think they did, but decided that maybe sitting this one out for even better chances in the future may work out for them considering that- 1. The Heat's big 3 have a chance (a very slight one IMO, but a chance) of splitting up and 2. The Lakers probably won't be around long (Howard may not sign extension, Nash is old, Kobe may retire) so trading Harden for a lottery pick and a very very solid prospect in Lamb may be a good move for them. Probably. I couldn't see why they'd pay a dude a max contract to come off the bench, 6th man of the year or no. I think the Rockets got better but still not better enough to be a real contender, might make the playoffs this year but IMO they're still fighting for the 8th seed.

For a small market team that doesn't want/can't spend too much, it is a great move. They can build a nice cheap bench either by drafting (the picks are next year already and they can trade them too) and Kevin Martin is like .70 on the dollar for Harden on offense while Lamb has nice upside as well. Harden was so crucial for them though, I see this as a downgrade for this particular season as well. Money definitely being a big factor ofc.

They are going to get fucking torched. can't be worse than kevin martin's? rockets were always going to get torched...i dunno. personally felt harden was an integral part of thunders' success, amazing playmaking skills and a good bond with kd and westbrook. guess we didn't have anything to lose, always going to trade away kmart, didn't expect harden...at all. out of no where.
