They, CIG, had a deticated server with a super stable but slightly older build but it failed right before the event. They then scrambled to have the playable computers connect to Austin which had the latest dog fighting build which forced the playable Boston PCs to update to the latest unstable build, causing a shit ton of errors which is why we saw them coding on site during the live stream up to the last possible moment trying to correct the most troublesome errors. Just a bad bit of luck. I've heard they flew in or bought a new deticated server for The PAX event itself to hopefully solve the issue. The feedback I'm hearing for those that actually got hands on has been SUPER positive and I'm sure they will be on track for a late April/early May release.

So is it going to be recommended you play with a controller or a joystick setup? SOmething I am rather curious about if you have that info?

You'll have to have quick hands to combo mouse/joystick. I can see Rift/trackIR being useful to eliminate the mouse.

also, less than 150 alpha slots left. if you want in, you better pledge now before they're all gone. you'll still be able to participate, but it'll cost you a temporary alpha tester pass.

Honestly I thought it would be a little further along. I have a funny feeling the DFM won't be out til the middle of the year at least. I was at PAX - the actual problem was that they used the wrong patcher, and loaded an old patch. So all the fixes they'd gotten done for PAX... didn't get loaded. Which really sucks. It'll be before June I'd expect. I have a crew that would be interested in joining or partnering with TL, if y'all are interested.
