I would've killed her my first try if I would not haven fallen of the cliff.
Those are by far the best and most hilarious deaths.

I fell off after being one hit away from killing her. Environmental deaths are much more common in DS2 than deaths by enemies. Blind-rawr: as far as I know, the remastered version will be free to people who already own the game. It's just going to be an update.

I'm a lore buff, so the schorlar of the first sin story will be in the patch and I don't have to buy it again, right?

So far I did not manage to kill at least one boss, Elana the Squalid Queen summoned Velstadt 12 times in a row. After my 15th attempt without any chance I summond another player + Ellie but she wiped the floor with our faces, then I gave up on her. The next thing I did was fighting through the Brume Tower to the iron passage where I faced the Blue Smelter Demon, I gave up on him after my first try since my strongest spell deals about 97 dmg to him. Right now I'm considering starting a new character that uses melee weapons. Sorcery just feels way too weak.

Manus is not easy, that's for sure. One of my favs fights in whole series. As for Gwyn, well: counter, counter, counter, gg. Just need to time them right and you can defeat him without breaking a sweat.

I think it's a combination of the DLCs being more difficult than the main game (mostly with regards to enemy health, so everything feels weaker) and the constant nerfs magic/casting in general has gotten since the release of the game. When I picked the game back up after a few months to start playing the DLCs as they released, I was shocked (or maybe not, considering PvP...) by how much less certain spells did. Gwyn was a pretty straight-forward fight, but it didn't stand out as a disappointment because that's pretty much how the last half of the game was after S&O. Manus was some real shit though. I fell in love with that Artorias fight the first time I played the DLC and couldn't imagine the final boss would compare after that. Was thoroughly knocked on my ass once I got there...

Right now I'm considering starting a new character that uses melee weapons. Sorcery just feels way too weak. Most of the enemies in the DLCs are incredibly resistant to sorcery. miracles, and pyromancy (don't know about Ivory King, I used a mostly melee character to beat it). I feel like this was mostly to prevent completely cheesing bosses and enemies like you could in the base game. For example, before nerfs, I think you would get like 11 casts of lightning spear at base, you could buy as many want, they did a decent chunk of damage, and they only cost one slot. Yeah. It kind of sucks to be a pure sorcerer or faith build right now, though, since some of the spells (read: nearly all offensive miracles) nearly got nerfed to the point of uselessness. For Elana, you're just going to have to learn to deal with both her and Velstadt at the same time (or you might get lucky, sometimes she summons pigs that just kind of follow you around). You can like 3 - 4 hits in at the start when she's talking, and then try to get hits in while she's summoning the skeletons/Velstadt (keeping the skeletons alive doesn't prevent her from summoning Velstadt, as far as I can tell). Her melee attacks are kind of the same as Nashandra (the horizontal swipes). Smelty 2.0 is just highly magic resistant, considering that he's a magic-based creature this time around. Be careful, the second time he powers up, he starts incorporating slowed down versions of his regular attacks into his moveset, which can catch you off guard. Honestly, if you're dead set on being a sorcerer right now, I would respec, base your build around a weapon and go from there, and give yourself enough INT to use Soul Spear. It'll make your life a lot easier. Make sure you find the Life Ring +3 and Spell Quartz Ring +3 in Brume Tower as well.

I played the DLCs as a (pure) sorcerer as well - and I'm a bit sorry to tell you that the ivory king DLC final (optional) boss is even harder With Elana you have to get a feeling of her sorcery-cycles, though it's still pretty difficult. Blue Smelter Demon made me also rage hard, since it's yet another boss where sorcery is at a huge disadvantage. And getting there is the even more frustrating part than the boss itself. I beat Blue Smelter Demon by two-handing the moonlight greatsword without using any spells and just dodging. All in all it's difficult but do-able.

Run straight up the walkway. Run right. Stand in the small corner next to the right archer. Shield up. Wait until he falls off the ledge. Easily deal with the second Archer.

I literally want to slice my wrists and fucking kill myself. That is all. + Show Spoiler + If you dont go down to the bottom of the plateau where you have to start climbing your way up the the archers, but go to the far left hand side first, you can shoot 1 of the archers down with a bow from a walkway without him attacking you. Then you can walk up to the second and kill him. Just sayin Spoiler: Archers cheesed. Found out by accident after dieing frustrated for the 20th or so time. Gwyn boss fight is pretty easy. Like 3* parry and you win. Only unparryable attack on NG is his grab, which has a super easy animation. I liked Artorias, 4 Kings and Nito the most, the setting of the fights just got me. For the DS2 DLC, i would recommend a lightning weapon or a lightning infused weapon. Need it for Fume knight(Raime), Aged Smelter, White King... super useful.

Im now @ Ornstein and Smough fight, only tried a few times, but i see myself dying a shit tonne before getting through it. Feels like my +9 Uchi just isn't strong enough, but its mainly just a retarded fight, since its near impossible to separate the two. I really dont know how im going to beat them, just brute force my way through and hopefully after a few hours ill get it done. Classic dark souls lol. Praise the sun and summon Solaire :-)

There's a lot of those massive guards im worried he will just aggro and die or something lol.
