They put a giant dragon before the Dragonrider boss in Heide's Tower. The area before that has gotten brutally difficult. It's also kinda hard to play the game after 60hrs of Bloodborne, everything feels so slow. And yeah, I still play with my trusty Bastard Sword and haven't tried any other weapon so far. Are there any good weapons for pve that I should try out?

Well, I guess it's not only Shrine of Amana with all it's unholy glory, but overall it's good to have some weapon you can actually repay those damn archers shooting you from above, when you have not even an idea how to get close and personal to them. And there's quite a lot of places like this.

+ Show Spoiler + Is it just in SotFS that holding a torch turns spiders from assholes into cute pets that won't touch you ever? This makes Tseldora and Duke's Dear Freja much much easier.

I felt like I had messed up my first character a bit, the one that took 22 hours to get 3/4 lord souls, and now I'm at the same stage after 6 hours. I agree that Tseldora isn't great so far, but Ornifex just gave me a fantastic weapon (butcher's knife) for the Rotten Soul. So it's already worth the visit. I have spiders, though, and those giant cobwebs don't bode well... Anyway, after leaving the Gutter behind (can't believe they did it AGAIN!) I'm emboldened and ready to take on some spiders. €: I'm a bit bummed, though, that I apparently you can't get the fire enchantment spell before NG+. I wanted to support my melee character with Pyro, but other than Flash Sweat I haven't found much so far. If you're playing on PS4 and are planning to get Bloodborne: there is no gutter-like area in Bloodborne. Although I have to admit that the Gutter was a lot more fun to play through than Dark Souls' counterpart. I was quite surprised that they added in an area like that in DaS2, considering just about no-one liked Blighttown.

The gutter wasn't too bad once I realised that doing it in the dark doesn't pull quite the entire dungeon. Freja down, that was easy, though I can't even imagine how difficult she must be as a caster.

How do I defeat Lud and Zallen the two retarded wolves in the Crown of the Ivory DLC. After hours of slaying the stupid reindeers I'm now at a point where they dissapeared thus making the ridicuolus long corpse run atleast a bit more bearable. I tried using phantoms but they die leaving me with 2 bosses. One time I managed to burst the first dog but the second dog got me because I am bad at the game. I played every Souls game plus the Defiled Bloodborne chalices but nothing, not even remotely close, is as difficult as this area + boss. Fume Knight was easy as fuck in comparison to this. Is there any cheap way to defeat these two fuckers? Any cookie cutter? What's the strategy? Is it completely luck based?

I still haven't gotten around to that. After dealing with the ridiculously annoying corpse run, it's unfortunately a pretty honest fight I think. No real tricks, though the difficulty does make you think (or wish...) there might be. You just have to play solid and hopefully get one down without sacrificing all your resources in the process. Others can chime in but I never really found a preferable strategy.

I did them in NG+8, and it was hard xD You can try a caster respec (soul spears/crystal soul spears), it doesn't make the fight easy tho. Or ask for help on a forum (here or reddit). My char is in NG+8 so I doubt I can help you, sorry

You should be able to burst on really fast if you are on ng+. If you managed to get one down and died to second one then you are good to go for more tries. You know what to do.

This is actually one of my favorite bossfights in the game. If you want to do it the easy way, equip the Gower's ring of Protection. It will negate most of the damage as long as you angle yourself right. Bring some repair powder so your ring wont break. You can also bring a spare ring so you can switch them if you mess up. After you have killed one, the other one will buff itself. The buff will last around 1 minute and the boss gets increased damage, increased defense and health regeneration. It is better to wait it out and not do anything too risky. You have enough time to buff yourself/use a resin/heal/etc when the boss activates the buff. The buff is used only once and it does not matter which tiger you kill first.

Considering miyazaki is working on it, it seems unlikely though. I'd love to go in blind, but after getting burned hard with DS2, it won't be possible sadly.

I found the combat much more enjoyable and fluid. I usually spend a significant amount of skill points into the ADP stat, and don't bother with leveling STR or DEX much higher than the minimum requirements for the weapon I want to use. So basically I dump all my points into ADP, Vigor and Endurance. Survivability matters a whole lot more in souls games than minimal increases in damage output. I'd rather be able to do 100 damage but be able swing five times and take five hits than do 120 damage, be able to swing three times and take only three hits before dying. It's my standard approach, whether I play DaS, DaS2 or BB. Especially in Bloodborne I don't bother about most stats except vitality.

Dark Souls 2 isnt a bad game. If demons and ds1 didnt exist, I would probably love it. Comparing ds2 to ds1 though, it is a setback in literally every aspect I can think of. In my opinion, ds2 simply does not deserve the souls title. I trusted that ds2 would be an excellent game. I didnt look at any videos or read anything about it. I did not know miyazaki and many of the original devs never worked on it. If I had known I wouldve been more careful. I played ds2 about 12 hours and hated nearly every minute of it.
