I think he may have meant the IGN video player.
I'm really excited for this game, loved dark souls to death, but I'm definitely ready for new areas to explore and new enemies to figure out.

I so wish I could relive the experience of playing Demon's Souls for the first time (or in your case, Dark Souls). Both are incredible games and I can't wait for DS2. So hyped.

This means we won't have to deal with archaic ps3/xbox limitations and they can truly build a masterful PC version. mm mm good.

"We understand that a lot of fans took the word 'accessible' and translated it to 'it will be easier'," he said. "We apologise for casually using the word". From Software's true intent was muddled in translation. This time, Tanimura and Namco Bandai producer Tak Miyazoe are clear and precise with their words: "There's no intent for us to make the game any easier." "At the same time, the goal isn't to make Dark Souls 2 more difficult, just more rewarding," he continued. "What we meant by accessibility was streamlining a lot of the so-called tediousness that was in Dark Souls to make sure we can trim the fat and directly deliver the pure challenges and emotional aspects we want to communicate." Streamlining, trim; more flammable words, but this time better explained: "For example; having to backtrack in Dark Souls and having to do all that travelling. Warping was only available in the latter half of the game, which seemed a little bit useless." The Calice that let you teleport really acted as an incredible reward, and it wasn't too far into the game. Anyway, super exited for the game. I love the first one better than any game that has come out recently.

I really liked dark souls: for one I don't feel like the game is trying to hand me a victory like many other games out there. What I would like more of are hidden areas and alternate paths to a maze. The IGN vid showed a short period of dual wielding which is something I wish they can put a little more attention into. A high risk-high reward dodge-parry only system is going to be really fun imo (I guess using using a weapon with both hands serves that but just doesn't give the same vibe as dual wielding). .Late game balance also feels rather weak. Not really a fan of the concept a weapon such as the Blackknight battleaxe which everyone uses because of its raw power and decent skillset. This game really brings out the M within me.

If you"re using Lord Ciaran weapons, with the golden trace in OH, your parry is replace by an attack. But playing like that is a bit suicidal in Dark Souls, no parry / no block D:

When my PC broke down and i was stranded for 2 months without it, the only thing i cared about was my dark souls playthrough. But at least now i can start all over again :D

Dodge roll is vastly superior to both of them, even with regular weapons, it's better to just 2-hand them and use dodge rolls; more damage, can wear special shields like grass, and dodge roll is just much better for defense then parry and block anyway.
