jokes aside though it is working a little bit in pvp and in PVE it just wrecks bosses, as long as you can dodge their attacks.

I've mostly been PvPing with a 50 faith build though. Elite Knight armor (really solid just like in DS1), Lightning +10 Claymore, Lightning +5 Dragon Chime. The only miracles I use are Great Magic Barrier, SLB, and the occasional Heavenly Thunder. Still a pretty solid faith-based melee build, and it's working well for me.

Yeah it's pretty wierd, but then again half the Dark Souls weapons are pretty crazy.

It even fits in those 2 cases, 20 str/12 weight and 30 str/18 weight (probably a coincidence tho :D)

Then fire something like a Soul Spear from your staff, immediately launch the homing spell, then fire another soul spear. It's extremely effective. Usually, a player will be rolling forward, to dodge the homing attack, and as they're coming out of the animation, the soul sword kicks their ass.

I you twohand them they only require 20 str for the Curved Dragon and 13 for the Murakumo.

Just like with my old Giantdad build in DS1 ("16 fuckign strength") to 2-hand the Zwei. I was just making the point that the stat requirements lean heavily in favor for strength for the Curved Greatsword, making it even more shocking of a dexterity weapon than the Murakumo (in response to Yrr). I'm almost compelled to start wearing Havel's :3

sweet, thanks Also, now that it's been long enough. Anyone play DS2 -> DS1 and what was your experience? I've always wondered how people would feel about dark souls 1 when dark souls 2 was their first game.

I got a +10 lightning bastard sword, The good chime and defenders shield. Current armor is: elite alonne Knight chest. Normal alonne Knight, legs and hands. Mannikin mask for head :-). Got any tips for better armor and a good magic defense shield? Would it be worth to go for 50% weight for some pvp and ng+?

I thought it was a lot harder :-) had to roll a mage because of those really stupid controls.

Also, in my opinion melee is a lot more viable in DS1 in PvE in comparison to DS2. But like most people i played DS1 first, DS2 afterwards.
