What makes a player a great player is not only the talent to play the game but also the personality. Pele wouldnt be as a great legend of football as he is today if it wasnt for his great personality of being humble, nice, polite, gentlemen etc etc. Actually, I don't believe he's that kind of person. He was involved in some scandals while he was on the government, apparently he's got children everywhere, one of whom has been to prison for drug trafficking, and he talks too much as if he's the king of football.
And to counter the whole argument, just look at Maradona. Shit personalty, still revered as one of the greatest, a legend.

strafe ,in the game holland vs portugal (where i wanted holland to win) were u there on the stadium? at one random point the camera pointed at 3 guys wearing holland shirts (being holland supporters) and one guy looked really really good like ure twin brother or smth, was it u?

in the world cup , Ronaldo just want to benefit his national team not his club team.Rooney made a stupid foul.he received the punishment what he should be punished.

rofl at that last vid. perfectly illustrates the faggotness of portugal. Now someone please say again every yellow card in the game portugal holland was correct. Btw the ref got fired. So apparently the fifa disagrees with some great footbal minds nazgul and mensrea. puh even when im drunk i hate portugal

"BERLIN: Fifa President Sepp Blatter has apologised for criticising Russian referee Valentin Ivanov's handling of the stormy World Cup match between Portugal and the Netherlands.
"I want to say that I regret what happened and I regret the criticism," Blatter told the daily media briefing before the Germany-versus-Italy World Cup semi-final. http://www.themercury.co.za/index.php?fArticleId=3323946
And this "perfectly illustrates the faggotness of portugal (...) puh even when im drunk i hate portugal" is getting downright lusophobic.

miguel just lost his balance after a long run and pauletta turned around and saw he was down and assumed foul. C.R. definitely dives alot, but why complain about it anymore? i say that because all the referees assume he dives when he falls and are beginning to stop calling fouls on him and just ignoring him. hes only hurting his own team by not trying his hardest to stay with the play and isnt hurting opposing teams at all by it pretty much anymore. i mean if u want to laugh at him then laugh, but dont call him a cheater cuz they arnt calling it. Regarding Henry, if you watch that replay he got tapped on the ankle and just fell over, he simply does a better job at selling it than C.R.

with henry he did actually get affected by it. he fell easily, but if he hadn't gotten touched he would have had a goalscoring opportunity equal to a penalty anyway. ronaldo just dives every single fucking time he's in the box and he thinks he can get anything out of it
and it's IMPORTANT that we show our disgust with players like him. he should be banned for several international matches based on the game against france alone imo. =[

after watching the videos, wow thats freakin ridiculous. i think it mightve started with totti's sending off in 2002 vs Korea when that ref was TOO strict about diving. Now they loosen up and look what happens. I will be rooting for france on sunday I guess. Italians don't really have a good reputation either

Ronaldo is a diving whore... LMAO at Scolari complaining to the ref for every single action that was on the field... Deco played really bad and Carvalho deserves another kick in the balls for being a fag.
Italy will win this WC btw...

IMHO: 1.It was not his fault for Rooney's red card. Ther ref has all the blame. 2. Is a diver and I hate him for that 3. It has some pretty unbealiveable ball control, so it would be a great player once he matures.

maybe he did but then he starts rolling about on the ground until play is halted and a stretcher is brought out???
Amazingly the biggest diving cheating time wasting club team ever, Porto, only fields one player in this Portuguese side

it baffles me how he rarely gets booked for diving. And don't divers realise the entire world is watching?
Big thank you to France, just make sure to field Trezeguet

this is so sad. do you remember the advertisement with eric cantona before the chamiponship? "with heart, playing like a man blabla yada yada good football games bla..." i only see: diving everywhere, players always talking to the ref, not accepting calls, coaches load of their guilt of loosing on the refs shoulders. it only destroys the great game (i say great - because their is a better and faster sport ^0^;; ).
i think there need to be some new rules. NO TALKING TO THE REF! maybe small talk, but if the ref feels offended -> yellow card, without any justification, just the refs opinion. diving -> yellow card, or red depending on how heavily/bad the diving was (89 minute, inside the penaltyzone and it was a very bad dive like anyone of ronaldos).

also the germans were very active in patting the referee on the back when he made decisions favoring them. thats really stupid bm too..

Yup, I agree and some other people feel the same way, but it amazes me how many (most actually) of the fans out there who would forgive any foul play or cheating by their team as long as it gets them the win. The signals here are quite disturbing and perhaps it sums up society today which is why it's so fucked up.
I say, post game punishment and suspensions / fines / disqualifications. The ref is not a kindergarden teacher, he's supposed judge game issues. Unsportsmanlike conduct and dangerous challenges or generally little respect for other players should be punished harshly. My five cents.

Sad to see many haters in such a nice community, but then again I would too if I was a computer nerd sitting at home all day brooding over some soccer player who occasionally acts immature. Why the fuck does anything other than his soccer skills matter anyways? People hate him because his conduct on the field spits in the face of sportsmanship and fair play, and devalues the greatest sports tournament in the world. He's a disgusting player, and I can only hope that one day he'll grow up, act like a goddam man for a change, and play as if his legs can support his own weight for longer than 5 minutes. Then people will cheer for him, because he has the ability to be a good player. His mindset and conduct destroy any possiblity of fans considering him anything more than a hack.
Fuck, even Figo doesn't dive any more as much as this guy.

Any ideas what is that sad song in "christiano ronaldo-what a cunt" video, i found it hilarious :D
